Dig PDX is such a fun and creative indoor play spot for kids who love trucks, sand, and construction everything! My kids had the best time using the toy diggers, shovels, and trucks in the giant indoor sand pit. There's also a separate toddler area which was perfect for our younger one. The space is clean, well-organized. They have snacks and drinks available to purchase, and we loved the tiny potties just for little ones -- such a cute and thoughtful touch! Bathrooms were very clean, and parking was free and easy. Just a few tips: No shoes or socks allowed inside, so be prepared to go barefoot! It's pretty cold inside (probably to keep the sand fresh and clean), so bring a sweater if you plan to hang out for a while. Check their hours before you go -- they're closed Wednesdays and Saturdays. Great indoor option for a rainy day or if you're visiting Portland with kids. We'll definitely be back!

Brought my nephew here for an outing on a rainy Monday. Sandboxes were clean, lots of toys, three different play areas, and I loved that there were no play limits -- $18 gets you all day play! We'll definitely be back.

Awesome experience. Super cool place to bring the kids, 3 giant sand boxes for kids to play in. There's beer and wine! Yes please lol. Snacks and an eating area. The price is a little high but for good reason. Liability insurance for these places are ridiculous! I would definitely come here again the kids loved it.

First review of 2024! Finally got to check out this play place, new to the west side. Reservations required especially weekends since the hours aren't listed on Yelp as open on the weekends. Various hours for different age groups which is nice. It's helpful to sign waivers in advance. Plenty of parking in the lot. Merch, snacks, and drinks available for purchase. Sunday afternoon was extra busy, as the front gal mentioned. "If you're not on the waitlist expect 1-1.5 hour wait." Weekdays are much slower. This a great play place to bring your kids to play and dig in the sand, both dry and wet areas! I wonder if they'll open up other locations. Clean, open space for different groups. We're glad we got to come by and dig our feet in the sand!

This is a really neat place. The whole space gets a little loud but at least on weekends at the time of writing this it is only open to book one birthday at a time. The kids moved between the sand boxes and everyone really enjoyed it. There wasn't much to worry about and everyone stayed active for the whole time talking to each other. They have free safety glasses to borrow which the kids found later in their play. When you first walk in there are two tablets to sign waivers and open cubbies for kids to put shoes and socks. There is a small infant space without sand and the parents setup the center corral kid tables, several regular height and bar height tables for snacks, juice boxes and even spent a short time eating cupcakes within the space. The space makes it easy to keep the snacks at the tables. There wasn't much time where the kids weren't in the sand. They have a tablet you can pay for a selection of other snacks and even sodas and a few alcoholic drinks though I don't think I saw anyone buy anything...but a few considered it. There is only one staff person but they were very nice and swept sand once in awhile and ultimately they didn't rush people out and clean up the space at the end. We actually moved around a lot and ended up being able to talk with parents yet didn't feel overly crowded. My wife really liked that one of the two bathrooms had a child toilet and lower sink. Their website mentions they imported the sand from Canada and it's more kid safe. One of the spaces they wet down a little so you could make sand castles or use molds. They had a lot of toys and tools in all the spaces but climbing the dino head sculpture and jumping off into the sand was popular. We do wonder long term, how often they'll need to change out the sand, can they clean it or will they just replenish. In the end there are brushes to easily get most the sand off little feet and didn't feel like we took sand with us into the car but we also brought a change of clothes which we never used. The space was initially a little smaller than I expected but a decent size with no walled rooms except for the bathrooms in the back. The tables area does have a little gate which makes it nice we kids wanted to have juice. Overall birthday pricing is a little higher than some other places but it was pretty cool, felt clean and a nice setup.

My little enjoying the play time she had there.

My little has so much fun! I love that they keep it so clean and there is an eating area just the right size for her.

I have been awaiting our visit to Dig PDX for some time, my toddler LOVES anything to do with construction so this was right up her alley! Our family visited 11/29/24 (the day after Thanksgiving) with a full on crew- three toddlers and 7 adults. I was surprised that we were required to reserve and pay for our ticket ($16) beforehand, even more, that I was upcharged a $1 fee for processing our ticket online (which again, was required) and that they charge $5 per adult if more than two adults are coming per child (in this case, my husband, myself, and MIL were coming, so I had to purchase a ticket just for my MIL to sit and watch her granddaughter play). Personally, I believe the processing/booking fee is unfair to pass that burden to your customers as well as the additional adult fee- just seems like a way for the business to nickel and dime their customers. The facility itself was very large and comprised of three themed play areas; a construction site (the largest area), a beach, and a fossil digsite. Each themed area had beautiful murals depicting the respective theme's landscape, the construction site and beach even had some local Easter eggs in them. It was very clean, which I appreciated because initially I didn't know what to expect walking into an oversized sandbox. However, I did find the amount of toys to be lacking- for example, there was a very cool excavator sitting toy in the construction site to play with, but there was only one for all of the children to play with. Additionally, I felt that there should be an imaginative play dress-up element to this facility, so the children can really immerse themselves in their play e.g., construction vest, eye safety goggles, and a construction hat for the construction site or paleontology gear for the fossil area or sunglasses and sunhat for the beach). Another issue I ran into was temperature- the sand was lightly watered a few times while we were there, I'm sure to keep the dust at bay, but it made for a chilly experience. My 2 year-old was complaining that she was cold several times for the visit, although she had warm leggings and a long-sleeved shirt on. After leaving I realized how cold my own feet were when I put my socks and shoes back on. Playtime slots are for 1 hour and 30 minutes- I do think this should be longer, at least two hours. If your toddler needs a diaper change, or a snack that substantially cuts into their playtime when it is for such a short window of time. Overall, I did think the space was beautiful- the murals really bring a WOW factor into Dig PDX. I also think that some improvements would be needed in order for me to want to come back, especially for the amount of money you are charged to pay- I did the math and the additional $6 (ticket processing fee and extra adult fee) was 27% of the whole ticketed price.
