Wonderful Dr.'s and Staff. Have seen several of the Dr's and PAC. They've been very kind and…read morehelpful. Thank you.

The Center needs to fix their UC Health integration and reminder messages. The Center appointments…read moredo not show in the UC Health app and they only send you one detailed message when you first book. The text reminders are from Harmony Surgery Center and don't include any details except the date- no address, no time, no special instructions reminders. This needs to be fixed. Clearly the nurses are well prepared with a story about how this miscommunication rarely happens (strange they are so prepared for something that rarely happens). For example, they quickly pointed out that I read the original message on May 1st at 3:02PM. Incredible they had that detail handy as though they know how to find that info instantly- but rarely need it. I did open the message that day, but I didn't actually read it because I foolishly expected the Center to send a timely reminder of the appointment and custom instructions for procedure prep. Note, I did follow the manufacturer's instructions on the prescription rather than the off-label Center instructions buried in the UC Health messages. They do tell you all this when you first book the appointment, but do not ever contact you again- even on the day of the appointment- just a cryptic text from UC Health Surgery Center starting 3-days before the appointment. Note the Center off-label prep instructions start 7-days prior to the appointment. Most concerning, the nurses seem stressed as though they are more concerned with keeping the production line moving than patient care. Well, I left the discussion feeling stressed too. I guess that's my fault. Strange I went through cancer treatment for two years never once feeling that way. Also strange that this is the first medical complaint review I ever wrote at 63-years old. Must be all my fault...

I should have read the reviews and asked to be referred somewhere else. I cannot believe the way…read morethey treat people. I took a SIBO test, rested positive, was prescribed Xifaxan to take 3 times a day for 14 days with no other follow-up or anything. I messaged and called multiple times. Dr. Eileen Quillin refused to address this matter herself on the portal even after several attempts. She kept forwarding me to a nurse, who was less than helpful and rude. A week and a half she argued with me. I guess the Banner Health mission is not followed by staff. Banner Health is deeply committed to our mission: "To make a difference in people's lives through excellent patient care."From: Bessey RN, Brenda KTo: Sent: 03/19/2024 17:05:54 MDTSubject: FW: Follow up regarding SIBO Concerns As mentioned previously we contacted Magellan through the portal and NO PROBIOTICS ARE COVERED. We also contacted the pharmacy and spoke with them to confirm this was correct. They stated there are no alternatives available; which means it doesn't matter who the manufacturer is. I called the number you provided and spoke with Pam she spent 20 minutes going through the covered medications list and the OTC medication list and again there are NO PROBIOTICS covered regardless of a prior authorization. If it's not covered I can't request a prior authorization. I have provided a copy of the OTC product list that I found online. (this is below). It is not the responsibility of clinical staff or providers to be aware of what insurance companies will cover the cost of; especially OTC medications.
