I've been wanting apple mac. After looking at apples site i wanted macbook pro 17". So, gave David a call, one call, and explained my needs. What I went with is MacBook Pro I7core @ 2.8 Ghz with 8 gig ram and 7200 rpm (bit faster than other option)500 gig Hard Drive. As well as anti-glare was added to enhance picture and graphics to the eyes. Furthermore i was quote a price under apples main site and saved money just by picking DigiComp. The computer arrived in immaculate condition. Works better than my Dell Desktop Studio XPS with roughly the same features ... example processor and ram are same . In summary if you serious about your computing needs THIS IS THE Company for Apple or any other need you probably can think of with computers. 100% satisfied. My near-vintage Inspiron laptop/tablet combo (which has a touch screen) started leaking some strange sticky fluid. Plus, the screen started to get a little haywire in the upper left-hand corner, where a triangular part of the screen in that area faded and streaked. I brought the laptop in and spoke with the owner, Tony Katebi, who told me that 1) the laptop screen needed replacing and 2) the fluid was leaking from the screen itself. Tony offered me the choice of a refurbished or a new laptop screen. I chose the refurbished screen, and Tony set to work. A few weeks later (the first screen installed had to be sent back as it wasn't acting like a "touch screen"), my laptop was as good as new, and the sticky stuff was removed. Tony also noticed my battery was on its last legs and replaced it. All in all, for a fraction of the price of replacing the laptop, I had a brand new one, so to speak, for a reasonable price. Digicomp is the best small computer store in Los Angeles. I used to shop at "big box" stores for my computer needs, Best Buy, Apple, Fry's. I spent more money for less and on equipment I didn't really need. This all ended after I met David and started buying and servicing my computer equipment at Digicomp. I have never been steered wrong there and never not gotten an answer. David is as honest as the day is long. As a result, he sometimes tells me what I don't want to hear after a hard-drive crash or equipment issue, but he always gives me a solution and more often than not, I end up better off for it. With David, I feel like I have a partner, not just a retail seller. He genuinely cares about my computer needs and wants to make sure that I have what I need, only what I need and that it is in good, working order. Do not do business with these people. Not only is David exceedingly unprofessional, he and his "technician" know absolutely nothing about computers. David personally promised me a late 2009 macbook, and then sent me a mid 2009 macbook. He either failed to understand the very real differences between these models, or did indeed as he tried to convince me that they were essentially the same thing. The computer he sent me also would not eject CDs, and after speaking to him about this his solution was to ship it 3000 miles back - in the middle of my college semester - so his "technician" could fix it. I googled the problem and fixed it in 5 minutes. He conned us into upgrading to the aluminum macbook pro, and promised to send a model with a good battery to make up for all the unpleasantness. i have purchased 2 laptops (macbook & macbook pro) 2 external drives, and several accessories from Digicomp. my experience has been contrary to the negative reviews posted here. any time i have had an issue with either of my machines, David (owner) has offered me a loaner computer to utilize during the repair. the prices are a fraction of the cost at mac store and the turnaround time was 24 hours, as opposed to 3-5 days from apple. i've never had to make an appointment at Digicomp, I just call up with my issue and if it isn't resolved over the phone David tells me to come on by, always greeting me with a smile. if you want old fashioned quality customer service, knowledgeable technicians and fair prices, give Digicomp a shot. read more

Incredible service and unwarranted kindness. $75 to port 900Gigabytes of Data from a broken Hard-Drive onto a new drive I bought in-store for the same price on Amazon (plus, didn't have to pay shipping cost). Daniel and David stayed *after hours* to complete my transfer, and waited for me to arrive to pick up the drive before they closed up shop. It doesn't get better than this in terms of customer service, owner/employee knowledge and kindness. They also made suggestions based on what I knew was in my rig to improve it, in some cases suggesting equipment they knew they didn't have in the store. I purchased a used MacBook Pro from them and couldn't be more pleased. Although it's a mid-2014 model, it is like brand new and has lots of great software installed--it more than exceeded my expectations and they even included a new soft case and a new cleaning kit. The price couldn't be beat for a MacBook in this condition + all the extras. They have integrity, great communication and exceptional customer service. Man it's too bad to hear of all the negativity, I had bought my G5 MACPro over a year ago. It was a refurbished system with a warranty, granted it was only 30 days but it has been flawless ever since. I don't take this complaining to heart, I've had always received professional service on every dealings with Digicomp. Seems like most of the hundreds of customers are happy with them, but it's always the few negative ones the shine on these sites. It's obviously the competitors posting negativity, Yelp is known for nothing but bashing...IDK why I ever go here :-( read more

5 stars. Keeps their promises/arrangements and they clearly take pride in what they do. I was given a quote over the phone and told the approx time it would take to finish. I dropped off my laptop, it was not only repaired sooner than the arranged time but the owner also went the extra mile, allowing me to pick up the laptop after closing. Picked up my laptop looking BRAND NEW! They cleaned the keyboard, casing and fans at no additional charge. Laptop is working and looking like it's brand new out of the box! awful experience with the owner, David. erased all information from my hard drive when attempting to make computer faster. i was warned not to do business with these people but, i had to see. when he could not fix his foul up, he asked assistant, Steve to help. I don't care that these guys are Gay but, when Steve offered sex to make things right, I became very angry and left the store. Buying a used one seemed sketchy and risky, so imagine how glad I was to find a great macbook in wonderful condition for a very affordable price! I forgot my charger at home for my laptop and it's a custom built PC laptop so it's hard to find the right charger. I phoned these folks up and they said they had something in the store. I was wary but when I went, they were super friendly and helpful, let me test the charger on my computer, and within minutes I was back up and running.
