One thing that really stands out is the mixed-age environment, which has been a great fit for our son. The space itself is multi-story, and thoughtfully designed. They also make great use of their backyard space, which is impressive for a Midtown location and the pricing is on par with other daycares in the area. They genuinely care for the children, and create a safe place both physically and emotionally. There are so many activities offered throughout the day so the kids never get bored. My initial fear in putting my child into a new environment was quickly quieted once I met all the wonderful teachers. The actual space is beautiful as there are activities designated to different areas of the facility. These include: mud kitchen in the backyard, art on the main floor, dance studio upstairs, fire truck room, and plenty of comfy corners to read a book, just to name a few! If you're on the fence I recommend at least taking a tour of the preschool. You won't find a more inclusive and welcoming space elsewhere. My family has had a wonderful experience, and we look forward to many more memories to be had at ArtBeast.

If you park near the Enterprise lot, the staff there will ask you to move your car (learned that the hard way), so plan to park on the street if possible. Now onto the class--overall, I had a good experience. The staff is super friendly and happy to answer any questions. They give all the instructions at the beginning, then you work independently while they check in with you periodically. Everyone has a different learning style, so this teaching method may work really well for some, while others (like me!) might prefer a more hands-on, step-by-step approach. Space was clean, nicely decorated and could accommodate 40 guests, not sure what the other space rents for so double check with the owner. Had a very fun gender reveal party and are thankful that Just for Fun Art accepted the last minute request. We were allowed to bring our own extra decorations and food. It deserves commendation that this relatively small school has such committed staff and it was evident from the moment you walked into the ceremony. It was evident in their warm greeting as you entered through the doors, their effort to keep the focus on the kids and their families and to the plenty of security personnel present to keep an eye on things. While not a parent of a student (just an aunt) I was moved to write this review because this small staff has raised a large sum in scholarships to provide to their students. The staff is clearly bonded to the kids and it was touching. This year 8 kids rec'd scholarships including the munchkin I was supporting today. It's quite a phenomenal feat to raise these funds and this act shows genuine commitment to their students. Thank you Charter Choices for your commitment to the children.

To enter the building you have to enter the front which is where everybody can see you from Folsom blvd. It's a bit of inconvenience but for safety reasons, I get it. Upon entry there's student services, and to the left they have a generic bookstore area (I can't really call it a bookstore because it's just a person behind the counter) and a lounge to chill/study. They have a copier for students to use in the lounge area (10 cents per page). The classrooms are pretty decent size and all new! No graffiti/doodling on the tables or odd gums underneath the tables, or stinky carpet. The bathrooms aren't disgusting either. This location isn't so bad, but the parking lot needs improvement.

There is a student lounge area with vending machines & tons of electrical outlets, so it is the perfect spot to charge your laptop or phone while you're waiting for your class to start, or need somewhere to hang out.
