Even when I got home and had a problem synching up the remotes to the boxes and TVs he gave me advice over the phone which helped fix the problem. Good stuff.

My equipment is still working fine. I do dislike having to download apps for additional channels like Max and Disney and others. My iPad has more content than I can watch in a lifetime. Thank you for calling [name of (expletive) company here]. Please listen carefully as our menu options have recently changed (no they have not). Also we are experiencing higher than average call volume, which is our way of saying that we don't know the concept of "average." You get a ACTUAL PERSON (or at least a very convincing artificial intelligence), thank heck. Lastly: the night of 1/6, our speed tanked. I texted the customer support # and within minutes got an answer, and shortly thereafter our down/up speeds were back to normal. They diagnosed it as a problem in the lines coming to my unit (so not my issue) but it will still take them 3 days to come out and restore service. The one guy said something under his breath and the other girl just got up and moved to another table. So I walked to her table and she just pointed to the empty seat where she was sitting. I went to the other table and the man said "what" I said, "Oh hello, and good evening I'd like to return my Fios equipment" I clearly had the equipment in my hand in an open shopping bag of which I had held out in front of him where he could clearly see. He then looked at me and asked if I had the equipment. Now I was unaware that I didn't have to return all of the equipment just the big white box. He took the white box out of the bag and said "oh no I don't need any of that" he then typed some numbers into a computer. a piece of paper came out of a printer, and without even an upward glance, he handed me the paper and said have a good night. Now I wasn't expecting a red carpet or even a hug however, I was expecting some sort of, if not friendly, at least kind customer service. The time was around 7pm . I asked if they wanted the other equipment to recycle and or if they had a trash bin available to take their equipment, which had Verizon's logo all over it. He again didn't even look at me and said "No you can take the trash out to the garbage bin down the street". I walked out and I told him that I hoped he has a better day tomorrow.

Now imagine having upload / download times that are 3 times as fast as what Verizon can provide. Now imagine this being two thirds the price of Verizon. Finally imagine a company that provides almost instantaneous support / service. This is what Natural Wireless is. My specific experience: 0) Before moving, I requested a quote on service and pricing. I received an email instantaneously. 1) Moved into the new apartment on March 19th. Signed up for service. It was available immediately. 2) Same day added a Roku via email. Within 10 minutes it was on the network. 3) Same day discovered a laptop I used for work was not compatible with the default network. Placed a call. 4) March 21 a tech shows up, updates their equipment (see picture) and my router. Laptop now works. My entire home including echos, google home, smart plugs, additional laptops, FireTV are all on the network and are working great!

Of course, we experience the occasional 2-10 minute "outages;" but for the most part we have a very stable internet thanks to Spectrum. At one time, years ago, they had to work on the physical cables that connect to our house and it was a little disruptive. The outcome was a much more stable connection! I do not dread calling Spectrum's customer service. Every interaction is pleasant and informative! The staff walks you through trouble shooting steps and stays on line with you the entire time, no matter how time intensive the steps are. They respond quickly during outages and will text your phone when the outage is resolved. Spectrum for me is an easy five stars!

I'm learning how to use my Spectrum TV app to watch my favorite shows. During the day I've got continuous drilling from facade work on my building. Watching on the iPad I can carry it to the kitchen and the speakers are up close so I can hear! I'm still giving them only three stars. They are very good at maintaining the equipment and providing me with the remote control I requested. It's just upsetting that I pay $190 a month for WiFi and TV when TV was free when I was growing up. Cable is the only way for me to get transmission with the buildings around me and steel fire doors. I tried an antenna and couldn't get reception. I'm very fortunate I can afford to pay the bill for now. What the future of my relationship with Spectrum will be is definitely an unknown.

I can rotate the 15 to watch different channels every 30 days. I've never changed them. Now that I've been exposed to more channels by my daughter I needed her help to make changes. Naturally Spectrum is not easy to maneuver on their website. Plus my eyes are so bad I can't see! We finally dropped three channels I didn't watch and added ESPN2 Food Channel and something else. They sent me a email about changes but my bill stays the same for WiFi and cable TV. I'm fortunate to have a lot of TV apps in Apple TV. I have everything I want to watch! No thanks to Spectrum!!

At that point, I honestly felt like I should treat this like a DoorDash or Seamless delivery, leave the cable box on the floor, take a photo as proof of delivery, and walk out. That's how disorganized the experience felt. The service was extremely disappointing. There seemed to be no awareness of the waiting customers, no clear process for serving people in order, and very little urgency from the staff. This experience fell well below the level of customer service I expected.

The low level customer service and the way the company bilks customers is astounding. They claim to be giving you a five (5) year price lock. In my case, two months later they change the name of your promotion to Promotion for Life. They say that this means that only the taxes can go up if they do, but not the price for the service in my case, $40.00 with $5.66 in taxes for a total of $45.66. Do not be fooled. All their promotions, regardless of names, can be renamed and repriced at any time. They actively promote Autobilling, which means they take the money directly out of your bank account each month. It is not worth getting a $5 reduction to have these crooks get access to your bank account. Once you provide them with your bank account number, they can help themselves to any amount. Prices with Astound change at the drop of a hat. They do this by claiming that your plan's name was changed. What this means is that they hiked the price. Am actively going to see if I can find a better deal elsewhere. These people are nasty and only interested in bilking customers. These are seasoned scam artists.

He said they hear that about them a lot! Last night when I received a email from Verizon about a change to my account I realized something. If the employee at the 86th Street location had looked up my current plan I may have been entitled to a discount through my daughter's employer. The account has always been in her name and I am an authorized family member. Well I certainly learned a lesson. I have no regrets. BUT you can be sure if I need another phone I will come here first!!
