Spectrum Cable and WiFi are a necessity for me. The worst part is everything is working fine. I woke up to a red and blue flashing light. At 3am I had a lengthy conversation with a very nice Spectrum Employee. She couldn't resolve the issue by phone and I had to make a service call appointment. Then I am at the gym and get a text the problem is resolved and I can cancel my appointment. I waited to get home to make sure and naturally it was still flashing. I again called and was told "as long as everything was working ignore the lights." "Or, keep my appointment." I'm keeping the appointment. Frustrated I searched Spectrum Website and learned it's most likely the battery in the modem. Who knew there's a battery inside??!! The two representatives sure didn't. I realized it myself when I read it next to the light on the modem. At this time, except the flashing lights, the other two indicator lights stopped working this afternoon. My daughter thinks the technician will replace the modem. I hope so! A battery installation costs $60! I really don't know if I can recommend. I do know people that have Verizon FIOS and they have issues too. All these companies are frustrating! read more

Customer service, is lacking the personal touch. They work like robots with no heart. Just going through the motions.

To start with, I signed up for high speed Internet. Spectrum never gave me the appropriate equipment. Despite calling multiple times about the speed, no one bothered to check the equipment to see if that was the problem. Even called at one point to switch to a lower speed since I wasn't getting what I paid for. I was told there were no other options (flat out lie. I checked before I called.). On top of that, service is spotty. Multiple outages in the past month and a half. If you have any other choices, pick another provider. read more

Do not bother going in. I thought it would be easier to discuss my bill with someone in the Spectrum store rather than on the customer helpline. Went in to explain that I have been a customer for over 10 years, but that my bill ($300) is way above what I see offered by spectrum even in my own building. Had the worst experience where the first salesperson tried to explain with nonsense why they can't lower my bill - or that I would need to add even more services. Then tried someone else (Ariana) who was even worse. Why should I pay $80 a month for 200mb internet when on their own website they are advertising 500mb for $49? Oh that's apparently only for new customers.. so how do I get that deal? Basically apparently no way I can get that deal. Ever. It's so painful - you read every week about how many people are unplugging from cable and from spectrum and then you spend 30 mins of your life trying to work with them to find a solution and they'll make it impossible. Horrible customer service. Every time I've gone into this location no one has ever greeted me, asked me how I was doin', or made me feel welcome. Everyone was either on their phones or talkin' loudly to each other--and looked annoyed that they had to actually help me. The people who I've had the displeasure to interact with were uppity, unfriendly and totally devoid of warmth. And even when they did manage to assist me, they have yet to thank me. I've been a loyal customer for the last 30 years (since Spectrum was Time Warner) and the only times I've ever felt remotely appreciated was on the phone with a customer service rep, not a store employee. Dunno who hires and trains these people, but that person should be reprimanded and sent back to the minors. The managers have gotta step up and push their people to be more professional and do their jobs the right way--like responsible adults! Whatever animosity the employees feel towards people from the neighborhood has gotta stop once they start their shifts; if they don't wanna help us, then they should find jobs somewhere else. read more

I had to wait for a bit but came here to get new equipment and when I got help, the salesperson I dealt with made sure I had what I needed and told me if I had problems installing myself they could get a tech out at no cost to me (I actually did have to do that when neither I nor anyone going into the apartment could find the Internet hookup; the building manager actually told me to get a tech to come out after I told her about this issue). I had a mother-daughter experience with this particular Spectrum store. Both of us are in the process of switching over from AT&T to Spectrum. On Monday, my mother went to this location for help with this transition, and Kenneth (one of the staff members) stayed with her for over an hour as she cut the ties with AT&T (they don't make it easy) and became a Spectrum member. The next day, I went to the same Spectrum location with the same issue, and once again Kenneth came to the rescue and spent an hour plus with me as I tried to get my phone back from AT&T. Talking on the phone to Customer Service to negotiate service price been mostly a nightmare, at times. We decided to go in person and negotiate a deal for our services and got it in writing, for no one to unknown to us, adjust it to a higher price, as been noted in my previous review about Spectrum price slamming. I can't give more than 5 stars so I guess this is the minimum. Spectrum has an employee named Davis on the upper east side location that exemplifies professional customer centered service. I was looking to downgrade from cable to streaming services. Not only did Davis walk me through the process, she was able to show me how to maximize my phone service , upgrade my internet , and get streaming services, cheaper than what I was paying Boost mobile for 2 phone lines -Bye Boost!Mobile! So for the price of what I was paying for monthly cable with 3 boxes and boost, I walked away with a new IPhone pro max 13, an iPhone 11, streaming services with better internet and save about 60 per month on a reputable mobile provider-Verizon. Now I have to talk about how patient Davis is, because honestly, I'm not the most tech savvy person, so she spent a considerable amount of time customizing a package that maximized my services for me and my grandkids. SPECTRUM LISTEN UP..... THIS IS WHAT YOU CALL OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE and how you retain customer loyalty. I was ready to just hand in the boxes and get YouTube tv . 15 person wait with only like 2 people working on a weekday. Hour wait just to pick up an activation kit that they misdelivered!!! Workers didn't seem very pleasant, but wouldn't be surprised if spectrum wasn't a good company to work for so can't really blame them there. They were letting some people cut in line but not others. Just a bad setup, too dependent on tablets to check people in and it just becomes People needed to wait just to drop off equipment too. I am writing a review of Spectrum TV service. I used Spectrum for about 4 years. Initially the service was ok. I was never able to get 5g service but the 4g worked fair. But then the price started going up about $5-$10 per month. I called in and they said no they couldn't change could give me a break etc. i got lazy and then only called every few months, still no relief. So i like many other people have decide to CUT THE CABLE. And am glad i did. So when i called to terminate service then I got plenty of people trying to get me a better price, it took over an hour to get them to use let me terminate the service. Today I was trying to return the equipment I called again and they service person said yes you can take your equipment to ANY spectrum store front. So on a very cold day, i packed up all the equipment to lug it to the closest store. When i got there no one other customers were in the store but Ruth the person waiting to sell the next person refused to take the equipment (151 Church Street New York) and said i should take it all home and call UPS. So thanks Spectrum for helping me know I made the right decision cutting the CABLE from you. Your service has some deficits you should work on and the cost is too much with all the other good streaming options out there. read more

Brand new location on the UES. Very convenient. Very modern looking. Professional and courteous staff. Had no problem upgrading my cable box. In and out in minutes. Best bet is to hit it midweek when opens at 8am. I was there and back home pretty quickly. We just purchased a brand spanking new 50" ultra high def 4K smart TV from Samsung (oh baby!) and when I got home found that our old cable box was not compatable, so I Googled it and found this new Time Warner location. Made sure I was there when it opened and got hooked up right away. The counter person also looked up my account and noticed I was due for a free modem upgrade for my internet, and she gave it to me right on the spot. No complaints at all, considering Time Warner is like the Death Star of cable services, and is usually a nightmare to deal with. This was a pleasure. Also, let's be real. I can now watch all the internet porn I want on ultra high def 50" 4K glory! With surround sound too so all those grunts, groans, and slurping noises are amplified! The process wasn't easy - Spectrum's agents couldn't change the e-Sim over the phone - but Joey at this brick-and-mortar store swiftly got my phone working again and couldn't have been more friendly, charming and helpful. The worst service ever. Over 3 years I have had no less than 8 service visits, had me equipment changed out at least 3 times and personally visited the service center on 3 different occasions. Constant outages to the point that I can't use my home # on anything because the number never works. The internet goes down for hours at a time for no reason that Spectrum can explain. All of this for short of $200 per month with cable and $90 once I ditched the cable. The only saving grace is that I don't work from home; I'd either be unemployed or camped out in a Starbucks somewhere for the free internet. read more

NEGLECTFUL STAFF & DRIVERS! This is in regards to an accident I had with one of their Drivers. It's been over a week and I have yet to have any type of solution from their insurance company ESIS. I was driving on a right lane and their Spectrum truck cut me off from the left lane and destroyed my car as I made a right turn. It was clearly his fault. His insurance company never has an answer for me and now doesn't even pick up. Now I'm stuck with no vehicle and on public transportation, late to work all week due to having to drop off my son first at school and then head to work by bus! If I could give a zero I would. I was recommended spectrum and I'm so disappointed. I would never recommend this service to anyone. For starters we have had the service since February and half the buttons on our remote don't work half the time. I have videos of me pushing the down, select, and volume buttons well over 30 times and nothing happening. Then I push the up button once and everything is fine. Batteries are brand new. Secondly, I'm awake late at night often and want to watch Netflix. At 2 am you would assume that the WiFi should work at least as good as during the days right? Wrong. I would guess 50% of the time it says there's no signal. 25% of the time it has to stop and load every 30 seconds. But don't worry guys, 25% of the time you're . Basically don't buy unless you want to be pissed every time you want to relax and watch tv. read more

Spectrum service is awful. They use to renew your introduction rate, now the reps just tell you to cancel. spectrum believes consumers cannot do anything about this well I can. One of the worst customer service experiences ever. The woman at the front of the store supposedly "greeting" you rolls her eyes and grudgingly asks for your name to get on the list for seeing someone. The representatives are not friendly and feel forced to perform their job. The actual store is nice, but customer service is subpar. Unfortunately, we dont have much choice for out internet service, so we have to bear with it. Considering how many customers were waiting in stores, it would be nice to improve their service. They should be investigated by the BBB and sued for false advertising. They claim to provide a service of 50 Mbps for a fee and, as time goes by, they increase the monthly fee by $10 every year while the service gets worse. I've recorded download speeds of less than 10 Mbps consistently, upload speeds are way worse. But the kicker is trying to talk to their customer relations department. It was particularly offensive to listen to their representative try to convince me that the reason my speeds were so bad was because of my modem, then when I told him about their dismal speeds being a chronic case of horrible service, the guy had the balls to tell me he was connecting to it at 67 Mbps as we spoke. So what is it TWC/Spectrum? I asked to speak to his supervisor, and he put me on hold for a considerable amount of time. When he picked up the phone, he then threatened with the fact that his supervisor was not going to lower the price. I had to tell him about four times to put his supervisor on. When he finally did, Jennifer came on. A woman who came on speaking an accented English even though I had requested help in Spanish to begin with. She was incredibly rude, condescending and constantly interrupted me , cutting me off before I finished my sentences. She kept lying to me, trying to convince me that Spectrum doesn't deal with promotions, when, in fact, my mailbox has been flooded with them ever since the switch. I had to tell her, repeatedly, that she needed to let me finish. If you thought TWC was bad, get ready. Spectrum's apparent ambition is to obliterate their previously established records by further bamboozling their existing customers with seeming impunity over anti-trust laws. Why is here no fair market competition in NYC in the ISP front? And these guys just got permission from congress to sell our browser history?!?! Great location and service was excellent. Went in to make account changes and was promptly greeted. My name was added via computer and I waited less than 2 minutes for my name to be called. I had a few questions about my service and the company wide changes. The clerk (who's name fails me and she told me TWICE) was sweet and professional. Her name may have been Treecie or something. At any rate, she made the necessary changes to my account and I was on my way. This was better than a phone call, in my opinion. read more

"Shocked" Usually when you think of TWC, you do not think of effecieint and reliable. This location changed my view of that opinion. I came here to drop off some equipment and the service was very prompt and the workers there seemed very competent. The location looks brand new and shinny. I have never had a worse experience with an internet provider. There have been outages 4 times in the past 3 weeks with the current outage lasting over 36 hours. The customer service line is unable to provide any information about when the outage is expected to be fixed or why we have continuous outages. If you have a choice I would highly recommend against using Spectrum. read more
