02/19/24 I signed up for free Disney Plus.

Spectrum Spectrum how do I love thee let me count the ways! My bill went up $4. I didn't even check to see why because I don't feel like fighting with them right now. Then yesterday my daughter asks me if I signed up for the free Disney Plus I'm eligible to receive as a Spectrum customer. As soon as she told me the movie I want to see called Summer of Soul was showing I knew I had to sign up. I'm Happy that the process is easy using the Spectrum email I received. After I followed the instructions it let me download the app to my iPad. I'm praying I don't have to log in every time I watch something. I added the movie to my watch list and I'm ready to watch on a cold winter day! Spectrum is the Good The Bad and the Ugly! Three Stars for now.

My router went out, and I had to get it replaced. There was a long line and they were really understaffed but they were really kind. It seemed to take way too long to be helped but once they called out my name I was in and out in no time. The employees were very efficient, and I would say that I wouldn't have any issues returning if I have any further problems with my internet.

These staff members at the 96th & Broadway location are the most wonderful people. You are treated like a customer with loyalty, good quality, valued & respect. Thanks to all of my friends there, Jeannet, Mr. A.J. Feliz, Ms. Alvarez, & Jessica. Being I that I moved to Florida, I am going to miss you all, but you will always be in heart for the most wonderful services you guys presented to me. You guys notified me on every new promotions and I will never forget the smiles on each of you. Keep in touch as I will do the same. Redpectfully, Juan Alvarez

Years ago, I remember almost going to court over the bad service Time Warner provided. When I moved to New York City, I expected Spectrum (Time Warner's new company name) to be far worse. But quite the contrary, I actually found this company to provide me excellent service. When I ran into a housing situation, I had to move to my own apartment fast. As a student, I needed internet connection to access my study materials. I was in my new apartment on a Friday afternoon, and I had a technician set up my internet within 24 hours of that. Fast forward a bit, I decide to take a leave of absence from school. So now I had a whole new logistical challenge. It turned out that Spectrum gave me a relatively hassle-free time when I called to cancel my service. They informed me where to turn in my equipment, and they strongly recommended I make an appointment. I was able to make an appointment at the local office, for the exact day and time I needed. I showed up to the office five minutes before they opened for the day, and I turned it everything and closed out my account in less than a ten minute span. I will admit, that when Time Warner became Spectrum, I thought it was another publicity stunt to hide their bad service. But from personal experience, I did notice a considerable improvement in their internet connectivity and customer service. I hope the folks who run the state of New York and NYC reconsider kicking them out of the area, as I wouldn't mind reactivating service with them once I'm back in town to continue my studies where I left off.

Too many closed windows, not enough seating.

TLDR: High Quality Service…read moreFast Turnaround (within the HOUR!!) No Games High Quality (non-OEM) Parts - you'd pay a TON more and wait a few days at the Apple Store to get this fixed. Flawless Repair, Great workmanship. The Backstory: Welp.. it finally happened.. after more than a decade of using several generations of iPhones, my current iPhone 15 Pro Max (ensconced in a usually VERY protective double-layered hard rubber case) managed to find its way to a hard tile floor quite energetically, causing the front screen to crack and spiderweb. Argh! All this after a zillion other falls, I suppose the stress finally caught up to that GorillaGlass. I searched high and low via Yelp, and Fix and Go NY seemed to always bubble up to the top of the list in terms of good feedback. So, I texted these guys, and they gave me a solid quote within 3 minutes of my initial inquiry. I asked a few more questions that they answered over the following hour, and before ya know it, I was on the subway over to their store to drop my phone off. While I was there, I also decided to have them replace the original battery with a new one, as my original just wanted to quickly drain. Lastly, for an extra ten bucks, they put on a protective glass screen over my new OLED screen. They expertly applied that protective screen with NO bubbles. Not easy for the mortal man! I was back up and running within the time window promised.. I had errands to run, so I came back about 2 hours later and my phone was all set for pickup. Zero delay. Courteous attentive honest service. Epilogue: I am pretty picky, but I did not notice any degradation in display quality whatsoever. Great workmanship on the repair. The new battery holds its charge way longer than my 2yo original battery. The only thing to be aware of is that the iPhone's hardware configuration status under Settings -Battery will gently report that you have non OEM parts in your iPhone. Not a big deal to me, except maybe at trade-in time, but what can ya do.. I need my phone! lol. All said, my iPhone now works better (longer lasting battery and scratch free display) than it did a week ago even before its nasty fall. PRO TIP: Be aware they do tack on an extra 3% surcharge to your quote if you are using a credit card, but I get that. No problem. PRO TIP 2: If you have an iPhone 17 Pro, they warn that you should get AppleCare if you still can, as the iPhone 17 screens are PRICEY and shatter easily compared to my "old" iPhone15 Pro Max.
