Fantastic Specialty grocery! This Used to be (in the 80's) one of the only places that you could get Jordon Almonds in St. Louis. They sell some of the best salami, and cheeses. My family always stops in when in town to get things to bring home. read more

I've been coming here as long as I can remember. Just the aroma of the place evokes wonderful childhood memories. Their spicy salsiccia is second to none. If you want the heat turned up a little, I believe they'll do it to your specs with a 5lb order. The other "must have" I get every time is their spicy olive salad. I really love this place people are kind nice helpful. Customers that they have are also very kind. And the girls in the meat department are phenomenal. They have fresh blood orange juice here! For the past several months, I was looking in every local corner for fresh blood orange juice that wasn't tart. This place has it! For the price, it was well worth it! Friendly employees, & the prices weren't too bad. FYI, the salsiccia has romano cheese. Being lactose-intolerant, I didn't realize this until I read the ingredients after I got my 1 lb of salsiccia in the store. Nevertheless, they took it back from me without complaint. They have fresh pasta, but it's frozen which is okay by me. Tiny store, but lots & lots of items! The cookies aren't made with real butter, which is kind of hard to find. DiGregorio's Market is another quality family owned Italian market. If you are in the mood for making a high quality Italian dinner without a lot of hassle, you should stop by and get some quality pre-made pasta, sauce, and bread all you need to do is heat it all up and you are set, just don't let anyone on that you didn't make it yourself. As my wife was out plugging an 8 point deer - proving yet again that she has the biggest dick in the house - I packed the babies in the car and we went on a mission to make Sunday Gravy filled with homemade meatballs, sausage and veal. I should frame my DeGregorio's receipt from yesterday. Its unbelievable how many great things you can get here. San Marzano Tomato's, 15 different kinds of salami. Great wine selection, great cheese selection - 2lb of salcissa (8 total) for $6.76 - really? Fresh ricotta, great canoli's, clams, fresh breadcrumbs, ravioli's, sundried tomato's, bacala, fresh coffee beans. The place is any chef's dream come true. read more

I was down in the Hill neighborhood last weekend after the memory walk, we tend to go to Milo's after it every year and we just happened to park close to the market and made me want to go inside. After a good meal i came here because i wanted to get myself and my dad some salami, something we both looooove. It wasn't a long wait in the deli after i purchased some of the fantastic salami and cookies to take home and before i checked out there was some wine sampling going on and I had to partake in that as well! I wish i lived closer to this place because I would be down there on a daily basis! read more

Hadn't been to the market for years....thanks to the staff's help, I picked out a great Olive oil, phenomenal red sauce and some moscarpone to make a great baked Ziti....perfect for being snowed in. This is definately the best Italian market on the hill. Best prices as well. Their products are excellent. The only thing wrong with this place is the ladies behind the meat counter are NOT friendly at all. One of them is down right rude. Wish I had the same experience with the "friendly staff" as some of these other posters have, but no such look. But, I keep going back, because I love the food. read more

Went there once. The Balocco wafers is a winner! The ice cream is not bad too. There are so many sauces to choose from. So happy.
