I decided to overlook the 3.5 overall rating and I'm glad I did. The pork pad thai and the chicken fried rice are flavorful. I think their pad thai has a good balance between being sweet and savory. The chicken fried rice was well seasoned. They do not skimp on the protein in their dishes. I wouldn't be surprised if you had leftovers from the lunch specials. My absolute favorite Thai restaurant that completely caters to celiac and gluten-free! They have GF listed on their menu and have extensive knowledge about what is gluten-free and what's not. They guide you through the menu if you're not sure, and I've never gotten sick after countless amounts of time eating here. Delicious flavor and same excellent service. We order Chinese shrimp fried rice no egg and add ginger and twice cooked pork with eggplant. These are my favorite dishes here. The glass noodle soup is very delicious as well. Note: I've heard the almond chicken is bad so pass on this dish if I was you. The ambiance is very nice. The menu features Chinese cuisine on one side and Thai cuisine on the other side of the menu. I have one word for you, New Year's chicken! This is one of the most fantastic chicken dishes you'll ever get in an Asian restaurant. They do some sort of double cook method where they fry it and then they fry it again and then they bring it out to you on a platter with sauce. It's so damn good. Their hot and sour soup is excellent. Any of their noodle dishes hit the spot. And their green curry dish was also excellent. One of our family's favorites. We love to start the meal with a glass noodle soup hot pot. Fun for the kids. The interior is pleasant, and a relaxing, intimate vibe. The owner is a sweet woman who welcomes us each time. Sometimes we ditch the kids and have a date here too. We've tried probably half of their chicken and beef dishes in the Chinese menu and they all hit. On the Thai side, satay skewers and the curries are yummy. This is our go-to Thai spot in the area. We have been coming here for years and always get the new years fried chicken ! The skin is so crunchy and the glaze sauce is both savory and sweet. Highly recommend! We also get the Mongolian beef, which is just as delicious. Each dish also comes with rice. The ambiance inside the restaurant is casual, and they give a small bowl of I think fried wonton noodle chips (don't know exactly what they are, but they're good to munch on before your meal). This is one of my go to spots for Thai food that is within the neighborhood. I usually frequent the one down in Mission Viejo more with a nearby friend. They are mainly Thai base but their menu, which is reversed on the back, also offers Chinese flavors. While I have not tried their Chinese dishes, their Thai dishes are pretty solid. Great choice for lunch with their specials. My one caveat is the parking during that time. It's pretty brutal if you go during peak hours. It's best if you go early or late to avoid the lunch rush. Pad Ke Mao is one of my go to dish. Love the thick white noodles. Their portions are quite generous too. I usually end up taking half to go. Taste a bit better later when you don't have to cook. If you get a chance, swing by and try some deliciousness. Also, supporting the local business during this epidemic does feel good. :) read more

I came for lunch on a weekday and the place was bustling. I must mention that a regular patron had me in tow here and we were welcomed like royalty. Without a moment to lose, we were directed to a nice booth upon walking in. Menus were laid before us, glasses of water instantly appeared, and orders taken instantly. Keeping up with their streak, our food was served very timely, too. Smitten by their warm hospitality, I was even more delighted to find out this place busts out mouthwatering dishes. Their Tom Yum soup had the right amount of sweet and sour notes with a little kick of spice to open up your palate. Get it with just shrimp, you won't be disappointed. It's really great! Good price, good food! I have been coming here last couple of months almost once every week. My husband who doesn't the thai food, likes this place. Our fav menu is calamari salad and beef satay. Glass noodle salad is also very good. But just be careful , their spicy level is pretty high. I'm Korean but I can eat only level one. I want to start off by saying that I love Diho Siam. We go to the other two locations of theirs all of the time... at least 3 times a week. I will never be going back to this one. After reading all of the other reviews, I'm glad I'm not the only one who had a terrible experience with the older lady who works here. When she took our order, she didn't write it down. Then when she served it to us it completely wasn't at all what we got. She tried blaming us for it and she was so rude that she made me cry. Never again will I be going here. I have been eating for a very very long time. Yes, over 20+ years. Food is delicious. And all dishes are good. However, like most complaints here, the short lady is rude. She has her mood. Occasionally she will be nice, but most of the times she's rude and will yell at you if your ask questions or request something. She's very disrespectful, especially if you are asian. Strange personality. She will snap at you if you ask questions about a dish or wanted to order something. The tall asian lady, family member of owner, is much nicer. So are the rest of the staff and the gentleman owner. He is super nice. But he is rarely there. I would say 5 stars for the food, all the way. 1 to 2 stars for service from the short lady. So, while in the neighborhood and getting hungry to late lunch our I decided to have dinner next door to Diho Siam but was thrown to this location after seeing all the people outside waiting to get in. So, I switch my lunch destination to this one and I'm glad I did! Location: Located on Lake Forest Drive and Rockfield Road along the NW corner close to the I-5 Freeway. This shopping mall offers plenty of parking but boy apparently it was not enough for everyone driving into on this crazy afternoon. My tip either come before or after busy times or try to find parking across the street if needed. Atmosphere: Just like their location in Mission Viejo they have plenty of inside and outside seating. The restaurant is nicely decorated and most importantly very clean. I was promptly seated and served some chip and water pretty much right away. Food: Sadly, I ordered the same dish as the last time and should have picked something different? You get to choose between a soup or a salad and I chose the latter. The salad was fresh, and the dressing was very tasty. It didn't take long before my Thai Basil Chicken was served, and it also tasted amazing. Though I ordered a 4 out of 5 the dish was still a little bit too much on the light side for me but overall it tasted very yummy. The portion was huge which allowed me to take half of it home for dinner. I'm looking forward trying their crispy duck next. My time is very valuable since I commute a ways away. I ordered my food online with a pick-up time of 11:33am. When I arrived at 11:45am, my pick-up was not completed yet. While waiting an additional 18 mins until my food was done and handed to me immediately after (ready by 12:03pm), I overheard a customer and a waitress comment on how fast the food came out, which leads me to believe that they are prioritizing inside dinning rather than pick-up orders. I ordered the yellow curry. It was really good except for the tofu. I ordered it with tofu and the tofu comes fried and not plain. It made it taste more greasy, and since I've had this type of curry without fried tofu before, comparing them both I'd say plain tofu would suit it better taste and texture wise. This is our default place to go to for our family gatherings. And also been here during lunch time with coworkers. There food is always delicious and never takes too long to come out of the kitchen. Couple weeks ago, our Server was Nisa, and she was very attentive. In fact, she was the best Server we have had (one of their older Servers is a bit grumpy). It a quaint restaurant with nice decor.
