I don't even know how many times I've been told to avoid Diho Siam because it is a chain that does not have authentic food. Well, this is south OC so there is not exactly a plethora of options for authentic Asian food. Located in a parking nightmare, this Diho Siam is small and new. There are plenty of tables, in a nice dimly lit restaurant. When the bf and I walked in, there were plenty of empty tables that were not cleaned up. Uhhh ok, we came in 30 minutes before closing so I kind of get it. Service ended up being good, but not exceptional. The menu has a Chinese and a Thai section. Trying to be safe, I ordered the Pad see ew and he ordered the Pad Thai. Both items were surprisingly good! Good traditional flavor, a decent amount, and the orders came out quickly. The prices were decent for what we got as well. I didn't finish my pad see ew, so I took some home and microwaved it for 4th meal. It was still pretty decent. Bf does not recommend doing the same with the Pad Thai. read more

Found my new favorite thai spot in OC. Open for dine-in, takeout and delivery. Parking lot in front and restroom access from outside (keys to be obtained from staff). The servers are so friendly and take good care of you. Don't be taken aback by their vast menu, they still nail every dish. We had drunken noodles w fried tofu and masaman curry with soft tofu, both cooked to perfection. Will be back someday to try their chinese cuisine and update this review with more praise! read more

I'm not sure why this place has only 3.5 stars. It's a solid 4.5 star place! The service was pretty quick. The food was delicious. I really enjoyed my pumpkin red curry with shrimp - flavorful with a slight kick. And the pad see ew - slightly greasy plate of salty noodles - exactly what I wanted. My friend got the yellow curry with chicken and basil beef - the couple of bites I had were exactly what I expected out of both dishes. They serve Chinese and Thai food. You get complimentary rice sticks to munch on as you wait to order. Tried the yellow chicken curry and chicken Chow Mein specials which include soup and salad ( but no soup on weekends). The salad had a sweet dressing that I loved. The Chicken Chow Mein was good but the yellow chicken curry was great! One of the best curries I've had! The owner is such a sweetheart! She was so kind and genuine. I'm here for a mild diatribe on the older, diminutive lady who works (works?) here. I came in here for a meal and the moment I walked in, she arbitrarily despised me. This was no fleeting, cock-eyed contempt, it was a seething floater of passion which occupied her eyes. It was almost as if she had known me in a past life and I had carelessly farted in an elevator with her. Anyway, I digress, let the silly review resume. Once seated, I perused the menu. The menu has Thai food options, but if you flip it, you enter the realm of Chinese food - a cute and hilariously patronizing nod to the ignoramus that is America, right? I politely asked if there was a drink menu, to which the diminutive lady immediately shutdown, "NO! We got beer or wine. Beer or wine". I then decided to pursue her curious little secret to see what magic she could curate for me - the short of it, I got an airline style bottle of merlot. My heart was full; I felt so charmed. Each time she left my table, she was shaking her head and mumbling. Each request I made, such as "may I have some silverware" and "could I please have a clean plate, since mine appears to have unidentified paste on it" was not only an egregious inconvenience to this woman, but also a blessing to even have her consider that she would engage. I ended up telling her that I wouldn't be eating there since I suddenly had an onset of explosive diarrhea, to which was possibly induced by a bitter nonagenarian treating their customers as if the customers were insipid, offensive freaks of nature who had entered their establishment loaded on PCP whilst engaging a Warhol-esque dalliance of post modern art by smearing feces on the walls whilst dressed like GG Allin. She didn't receive this information well. She immediately grabbed the plates off the table, once again muttering what was possibly her manifesto of how she would mind-f*ck me out of existence, and then walked away shaking her head in stern matriarchal disapproval. Once again, the commencing of the fervent stare began for a period. The ambiance in the place is about as charming as a skid mark on a pair of white Calvin Kleins, about as endearing as skid row and about as pleasant as Putin's glossed over stare. Honestly, the entirety of this review falls on the shoulders of the attitude of the old woman who works there more than anything else. Read the other reviews, there are plenty who voice the same concerns. But, fellow Yelpers, fear not - I was wise in my reception and upon paying for the wine, I left one single penny to bridge the undertones of resentment; a penny for her thoughts, if you will. read more

She brought us the menus with some fried sticks, I asked for hot mustard, she literally threw the menus on the table where I had my hands on and yells, disrespectfully and with an attitude "YES SIR!". I love Diho Siam! Some of the best Thai and Chinese dishes. My favorite appetizer is their Egg Rolls. They are filled with delicious veggies and come with a light plum dipping sauce. No other place compares! I also love their dumplings either pan seared or fried. My favorite Thai dish is cashew nut chicken and theirs is so good! The perfect amount of veggies including carrots and bell peppers. I also really enjoy their chow mein. Lots of flavor and delicious broccoli and mushrooms. read more

My favorites are: Pad See Ew w/chicken, Chicken Satay, Egg Flower Soup, and Cream Cheese Wontons. I've tried others like their Thai curry, Hot and Sour Soup, Shrimp w/Lobster Sauce, and more, and they've all been fantastic. I've never had anything that I didn't like here. This is one of my lunch spots on rotation. They do get a little busy and take some time but overall great spot. Their menu consists of Chinese and Thai food. The lunch special comes with either soup (hot & sour or egg drop) or salad. They also give you crispy noodles while you wait. I always get the lunch portion and it is HUGE.
