The food is always delicious at this Dillalo's location and the man who works there is extremely friendly. He was open to talking a bit about the restaurant and overall was super nice. We were alone in the restaurant minus one other gentleman but I'm not sure if he worked there and was on a break. The wall was full of hockey memorabilia which was neat to see upon walking in. The food- my gosh- some of the best burgers and fries. I wish there was one closer to where I live- it would be amazing (yet dangerous for my waistline) to have burgers and fries that close by. The burgers are moist and flavourful, the fries remind me of better Belle Province fries. They're just as delicious but less greasy. I never get anything too fancy- just a regular burger, but my fellow diners often get the Capicolo burger and they love it. They give great portion sizes and I went home with some leftover fries which I am very happy about now that I'm drooling just from writing the review... We got take out from this place last week amidst the whole covid19 situation. The place was pretty empty on a Saturday as it is to be expected so the service was prompt and efficient. I tried their original "Buck" burger which has a regular patty, cheese, capicollo slice, hot peppers, tomato, onion and lettuce. I also opted for a poutine, which was quite good. Not sure what makes this burger place special, it seems to be an institution and widely liked by many, but the flavors were lacking. There is little to no seasoning on the patty, and no special sauce that would help make the burger pop. It's nice that you can choose how you want you bun (steamed, toasted or dipped) however the overall meal is still a little boring. Luckily the poutine sauce was delicious, it's thick and peppery and the fries were seasoned well too. If you are expecting really thick, juicy and decadent gourmet burgers, don't get the Buck. Perhaps the cheeseburger with bacon would be a better choice but make sure to ask for mayo or ketchup as they don't come by default. read more

If you are craving a delicious homemade burger this is the place. The burger is huge and you can add so many things to it. My fav is caramelized onions. You can get your burger bread dry, grilled or soaked with sauce. Yum read more

Think Five Guys but better. If you're looking for a hefty burger - but tired of same old - presented simply and tastefully, this is the place for you! You can find the place either on the South-Shore or Montreal. Personally I went for the short to check out the "fine dining" experience. Things get fantastic especially if you go for the buck burger that includes perfect banana spicy peppers. The name comes from the fact that originally it was the first burger that costed a buck (remember, this place dates backs from 1929). Again... the combination is just perfect between spicy and tastefull. The place is simple, no trays or plates, the burgers are straight up served in paper raping and good to go if you wish to. All and all a somewhat affordable (12 to 15 bucks for a standard trio) burger joint that will make you want to come again or simply, skip 5 guys and rally go for taste. I had been told for years about Dilallo. How it was the place to go for your post-drinking meal on a Saturday night, or the place to go if you are working the graveyard shift. Recently a new location opened up in my neck of the woods - ie: South Shore, and I decided to try the place out. I am so happy to have found a burger joint that ...wait for it...wait for it..SELLS BURGERS! Yes, you can get a real burger here - no Kobe beef, 10yr old aged cheddar or truffles. It's a meat in your mouth, grease on your hands type of meal! My wife and I both decided to try a burger & poutine. She went with a regular poutine, I opted for one with Italian sausage and pepperoni. They should rename the one I had to the Meat Feast! It's so goood. The burgers are equally great. Two words! Boc burger! This burger is the real deal. Tender meat, hot peppers, capicollo. You can have it wet, or dry. Where they soak your bread in the burger and pepper juice. When craving a "real" burger head on down and order this delicious burger. read more

If you want a real burger without the overpriced filler this is the place to go when in these neck of the woods. I always go with the Buck Burger combo. A real meat patty with all the right fixings. My wife enjoys their regular poutine and the fries alone are great too. If you have kids like me you cannot go wrong in picking up the kids burger combo with juice box. read more
