Fantastic ice cream with lots of flavors good pricing. The staff ( there is a lot) are attentive about taking your order and friendly. The place is very clean.. The only issue is I've had, is they don't have dedicated person at the register. Three times recently, I have had to wait and wait and wait to pay. Finally having to ..cut the line... to ask if someone was going to check us out. Very easily all three times COULD have just walked out without paying. Hoping management sees this to fix the issue. read more

I grew up with fond memories of Dillard's Ice Cream! This mom and pop shop remains the best ice cream shop I've ever been to. We got the dark chocolate raspberry in a waffle cone and the S'mores Super Sundae. The sundae comprises of 1 scoop of chocolate and 1 scoop of Vanilla ice cream drizzled with hot fudge and mallow crème, topped with graham crackers, whipped cream, chocolate chips and marshmallows. My wife and I were visiting family in Greenville and we visited Dillard's for a little ice cream treat. It was an amazing experience. The ice cream (lots of flavors) was so delicious and the service was fast and courteous. It was so good we went back the next day. If we didn't have to go back home to Virginia, I think we may have gone again. LOL read more

An absolute for summer! We did a "last practice of the season" trip with our entire soccer team, and it was a success. They were fast and efficient with the 15+ kids (plus parents), and had sooooo many incredible flavors. I went a different direction from my usual chocolate based flavor and chose lemon. I love going to Dillards for Ice Cream. It's a celebration any day. Sharing a banana split or having an amazing piece of cake is such a big decision to make. Of course you can do what I do- eat the ice cream there and take the cake home "to go." There is plenary of outdoor seating . The chocolate peanut butter ice cream was thick and creamy and peanut-buttery and delicious. This place is out of the at but worth the stop. Would be five stars but the staff didn't stuff the ice cream into my waffle cone. The cone was completely empty and the scoop on top fell off into my lap. This is a relatively new location, I believe their second season. Unfortunately for the business, the nearby Conastee sports complex is out of commission for this summer due to the Covid-19 shut down. I imagine that the proximity (across the street) would bring in some good traffic during the evenings. There is a nice outside seating area of picnic tables and string lights that would be pleasant in the evenings. We visited mid afternoon on July 3rd and besides the three of us, probably saw 4 other groups in a half hour. I ordered the classic hot fudge sundae with vanilla ice cream (2 scoops is the small) wet walnuts, whipped cream with the cherry on top. I am not a frequent ice cream eater, but had my teen age son with me, so when in Rome... An, I was not disappointed, It was excellent, creamy, not icy and just goodness, so I ate the whole thing. read more

Ice cream is decent, but I can't in good conscience give this business a good review when I find out my tips don't go to the staff. This is extremely unethical, especially when you're staff is making less than 12$/hr. Owners need to do better and stop stealing from staff and lying to customers. read more

What can I say? This has been a family staple for eons!! I have known about this hot spot since I took care of the original owner. We would get surprised with homemade peach ice cream from time to time and boy, was it delish! The other flavors don't disappoint, either. Last time I tried a scoop of lemon (what?!?) and cookie dough. My son even ranted and raved about how it was better than Bruster's, which he loves! My family and I will definitely be back to try some more flavors... I heard the salted caramel flavor was to die for. Then again, what person in their right mind doesn't like ice cream in all of it's flavors?? read more

No posted signs or drive up window. Took 17lbs pup on a lease and stated I was going to eat outside, but counter teens would not take my order and instructed me to leave . I understand potential health code concerns behind the counter .... but there are better methods to inform a customer - signage , website, etc /-/ Not a places for pets outside / heard the ice cream is ok , but can not personally comment read more

Hubs had the meatballs (which the server said they only had two left...a friend nabbed the others) and other friends had the moules (mussels) frites and the braised short rib IIRC. The *.frites were the biggest hits. My filet was perfect, Sharon was raving about her mussels being the best she's had in ages. I had a bite of the meatballs, they were ok but people agreed there are better things on their menu. I love that the frites come with a choice of 3 out of about 10 different custom mayos (aiolis for the fancy-schmancy). I tried the curry, sriracha, and a fruity one I can't remember exactly what it was. The sriracha mayo was too subtle for me, I slather sriracha mayo on my burgers regularly. I have no class. The frites were fresh cut and I enjoyed them but there were far more than I could eat on my plate, and sadly frites don't keep. They have my favorite super sweet Lindemann's framboise lambic on tap; I've only ever had it in bottles before, so that was a treat. It is a unique vibe and after your meal, when emerging back onto the brightly lit street, it's akin to stepping out of a secret place and back into the light of day. The beer selection is impressive. This food is Belgian inspired. Hence the name being derived from a mix of Trappist Monks, trap doors, and a hidden underground enclave. Many of the beers have higher alcohol content, listed on the menu, be advised. The specialty is Moules Frites, mussels prepared in various broths and fries double fried in duck fat served with a flight of your choice of flavored mayonnaise such as wasabi, curry, truffle, sriracha, etc. Very good. Reservations are highly recommended. It was a busy Thursday at 6:30pm and the place was literally packed, even the bar. The two of us were seated in a large, dark, alcove booth fitting for six or perhaps even eight. We had a reservation, so the hostess said, "we may as well fill it" since it was that crowded. Being such, it was five minutes before we were noticed and placed our drink orders, another five before our water arrived and we ordered and about 30 minutes later to get our food. In between we were left to ourselves. The service was not negligent, but it was minimal and not really friendly either. It was a busy night, so we will have grace. But the mussels were delicious. We both had the Provincale, a rich, savory, Mediterranean sauce of tomatoes, garlic and white wine. Bourdain says "never order the mussels", in his Kitchen Confidential book, but here you are safe because they are very popular and the main feature. I've probably said this before and it is worth repeating, they need to up their crusty bread game. The broth is so good and the accompanying bread just doesn't lend itself to bringing the dish to another level, but it could were it better bread. This is a solid and must do restaurant experience when visiting Greenville. It arguably should be the "one" restaurant you must visit in town because of its unique ambiance and unique food & beverage.
