We had Heard good things about the crazy mason from family and decided to give it a try while we were in the area. When we walked in no one was at the counter and we had to wait for around two minutes for someone to come. The woman who we ordered from was apathetic and seemed not to care much about her job. We decided to order the Greenville signature shake which features vanilla ice cream, a slice of carrot cake, bunny grahams, and chocolate carrot candies. When the shake came it was missing the bunny grahams and the carrot chocolates. When we tried it, the dessert was more cake than shake and the cake was dry. This could have been more okay if the whole thing could make some pretty photos, but the desert was sloppily put together. Will not be returning again. read more

Whipped cream tasted like some homemade concoction, either 10 days old or cheap store-bought stuff. Barely any toppings on the ice cream. My vanilla had no chocolate topping chocolate topping. Small amounts of the other toppings certainly nothing to celebrate about especially at $10 a banana split. Furthermore, the employees that work there are the unfriendliest, apathetic,uninvolved that I have come across in a long time in a retail store. No wonder no one was in there. Not a great first experience. Went there with my enthusiastic daughter. The place was bright, modern, and hygienic. The menu was pricey for ice cream, but I get it. It's marketing as an upper tier creative desert place. I told the girl i wanted a hot fudge sundae for my girl with 2 scoops (as stated in the menu). I asked for mint chocolate chip and chocolate. I asked my daughter if she wanted extra topping and she said brownie. Im charged over $20 and I ask if that's the really the price for the extra brownie topping. The girl just smiled and nods. I now realize she didn't hear me. I gave my name and awaited my order. I received the order and we (daughter and I) dig in. We discover it's vanilla ice cream with brownie bits. OK, no big deal. I go up the counter to tell them of the error. There's another order waiting at the counter with chocolate and mint chocolate. I read a sign on the counter that details the ingredients in the "Hot Fudge Sunday". It's not detailed as such on the menu. I suppose it's my fault for not reading every sign in the establishment and trusting the menu. I clarify with the lady behind the counter that I only wanted one ice cream. I'm told I ordered 2. I didn't want to cause a scene and ruin my kid's desert and left it at that. Some constructive criticism. Train the employees to ask if a customer had been there before. Ensure that the ingredients to the product are on the menu. Don't expect the customer to read all the additional signage. The general expectation is that the menu will explain the details. Train the staff in active listening. Train them to handle errors and customer complaints. From a product standpoint, I did not get $20 worth of desert. I could have had the same portions with an equivalent quality at half the cost at another ice cream parlor. That, in addition to my customer experience gives me reason to not return and prompted me to type this review. read more

More of a one time or tourist destination type of place. Very expensive for some Blue Bunny ice cream in a glass with toppings. The place was clean, workers not doing a great job, but there was a hard working manager trying to keep it all together. I live here, tried it once, and don't need to go back. The menu is definitely overwhelming and they even do specials! We settled for the turtle waffle sundae to share and it was to die for. Every single element was perfect! Y'all it literally had a piece of red velvet on top !!! It was full of chocolate and cream cheese frosting and whipped cream. It was a lot !! I definitely am not mad at the $14.95 price and you keep the mason jar. Just to note for an additional charge they can make it to meet your dietary needs.
