I like checking TJ Maxx for gifts, ideas, decor things, etc from time to time. I'm not a "Maxxinista" or anything but I enjoy shopping at their stores. They also own Marshalls and HomeGoods which are also good stores to check out. I've noticed that each store is somewhat similar to the others..offering the same/similar products at the same/similar prices but each store has a slightly different "thing" that they're pushing... i.e. HomeGoods pushes furniture/decor/glassware, TJ Maxx pushes their clothing, and Marshalls seems to be a combination of the two.

    I have such a horrible experience every single time I go to this JCP. EVERY TIME. I only go to the…read moreone in Moore unless I am forced to go to this one like I was today. A kind CSR was very patient with me and called Norman to track down some pants that were in-store only. He explained the style number and tag description which is all that he could do. Jcp Norman was surprisingly quick to find and pull the pants. I thought man that is too good to be true since they were on clearance. Turns out, I was right. I get to jcp in Norman and went to three different customer service desks before anyone would help me get my stuff. The last one I ended up at was in women's and it went downhill even further from there. Firstly, my stuff was on hold behind portrait studio which was fine except it took 5-7 min every time the CSR had to walk back and forth to inquire about my hold. They couldn't have just called back there? It was under the wrong name the first time so it took a few tries and about 10 min for her to finally retrieve my items. Once my items were brought and she started ringing them up I noticed the price was 3 times as much as the ones I asked to be put on hold. Then I had to get my husband to send a pic of the tag because they weren't doing much to figure out if they were wrong. So turns out, JCP Norman pulled the wrong pants. Not a huge deal but when I asked if they could look up inventory of the right ones, the CSR only looked up the one I already had which I mentioned a few times that I already had those. When I asked if they could look up different colors, she told me I could go search through the clearance section!!!! That is literally what I called to have them do that they initially failed at and wouldn't make it right! Once I said no thank you I'm not doing that again, I went to check out with a coupon that JCP Moore manager said Norman would honor since I couldn't find my items in Moore store. Well, this required and manager. Sure no big deal. But I stood at the desk for another 10min about and I had enough at that point. So a lot went wrong but the most frustrating part was that no one was willing to fix it in a timely manner. I spent about 45min at the service desk ALONE. This location needs to get their stuff together. It was a horrible experience. Wish I could give them zero stars.

I am pregnant and on the baby showers of course people have gifts from Ross, but unfortunately I can't use them. I got onesies that he is not going to fit in, bottles that are not the ones I am using, etc. Stuff that I can't use, so I went to change for something that I can use. So I get to the register and the lady tells me "all the items have no price tag for me to scan (they do have the Ross tag, but not the bar code) so she asks me to find the same items so she can scan them. And I'm like lady I know you probably have the same items because the clothes are summer clothes, and you know. Competitor stores like TJ Maxx they just look for similar items if they don't have the same one and employees do it, they don't send the customers to do the job! I should've asked for the manager but I didn't think about it at the time. I don't know if they always do it like that or not because I never have this problem. And it's not like I was asking for cash back. I knew or though that I was going to get a in store credit and of course use it in the store. But any ways, Ross stores make change that policy (if it even is a policy or that lady don't want to deal with it) and have better customer service.

I had a scheduled appointment through the app and was annoyed that I would have to literally go buy my own filter, especially since the app didn't tell me that they had no filters. So I wasted my gas to come up there, leave and go buy a filter and come back. I asked them if my price would be comped or if I would be given a discount and was uncaringly told NO! I protested and was led to talk to a automotive manager named Tom. When I got to him, he wouldn't even come out and talk to me and relayed his message to me through a cashier. She told me that he said there was nothing that they could do! It was really shitty that he didn't have the balls to talk to me in my face and furthermore, how is it fair that I waste my gas, go buy an oil filter and no one credits me anything for what I spent?! I wasn't asking for the gas I wasted-just to be compensated for the money that I spent because they didn't have the part that THEY needed to complete my oil change. In any event, I have got past oil changes from them, tires and had work done there for years and this is how they treated me! Hell will freeze over before I ever use their automotive services again!
