This place was so amazing!! Incredible dumplings and super quick service. All of the food was delicious and we loved the aesthetic interior of the restaurant! It was wonderful to see the place so busy and lively too on a friday night in town. I highly recommend the sticky rice and spicy wontons, you will absolutely be seeing me come again soon!!

If you're looking for authentic handmade dumplings, fresh steamed buns, and comforting Chinese food in West Chester, I highly recommend Dimsum Taste. Everything tastes fresh, flavorful, and homemade. The soup dumplings, pan-fried buns, and handmade dumplings are especially good. Great service, cozy atmosphere, and definitely a spot worth coming back to!

So excited there's a dim sum restaurant in town now. Excellent quality and fast service. Restaurant was very clean and staff was friendly. Everything we ordered was fantastic!

A 5/5 rating is not easy to come by but this place delivered. Beautiful setup inside. Not cramped, comfortable booths/tables. Pleasant greeting when we came in, and were attended to immediately. The staff was attentive the entire time and our waiter even gave us little helpful suggestions about the menu/what we were ordering. Food came out relatively quickly, the ribs took a little longer than I expected but we had dim sum in the meantime so no real complaints. All the dumplings and shumai were delicious. I will absolutely be back and I hope this place stands the test of time. Highly recommend.

Dim Sum Taste is the best addition to town. The food is best served fresh in the restaurant. I would imagine a door dash/delivery would not be the best for this type of food. It also is helpful that the tables have 4 types of sauces available to flavor your dumplings! Quality is outstanding. Flavors are incredible. We ordered the food from DoorDash. We ordered soup dumplings, scallion pancake, pan fried dumplings, and General Tso's chicken. The best item was the soup dumplings, but I would not recommend ordering them to go. (They did not travel well: leaked all the goodness out of them.) The sauce meant for them was too sweet. I typically like an acid forward sauce for them. The scallion pancake was inedible. (Soaked in grease and tasteless) The chicken dish was ok. (Not the best I've ever had.) We visited this location on July 3rd. It was a hot day, so nobody was on Gay St. and it was convenient, since we live nearby. I was excited to try their soup dumplings, hopeful it would provide a good spot for local soup dumplings in leu of having to drive all the way to King of Prussia. We were immediately greeted with complimentary water, which is nice, but it tasted exactly like non-filtered tap water, like chlorine. There was a vague attempt at covering it up with the half lemon inside the jug that's housed at the check-out counter. While the seaweed salad and cucumber salad we ordered as appetizers were tasty, the soup dumplings (crabmeat with pork and chicken, respectively) fell flat. The meat inside both soup dumpling orders wasn't fresh and was coagulated together, and neither were the dumpling wrappers. The chicken ones had a harder, chewier dumpling wrapper, as though the top somehow got dehydrated in the steamer. I ended up getting a stomach ache in the middle of the meal. I wouldn't go here again for soup dumplings. They taste like supermarket soup dumplings. We ordered piggy buns for dessert. While it's fine that they no longer look like piggies, the custard was overcooked. They'd clearly been microwaved from a box, as they still had their square parchment papers on the bottom of them and the heat was distributed unequally, causing the custard to become overcooked and drier than they're supposed to be. I hope this place lasts because it's awesome. The spicy Szechuan fish filet is great. They have a solid lunch special deal that includes an entree, soup, and appetizer. Prices are fair and it is an upscale Chinese restaurant with a nice ambiance. One of my favorite places in downtown West Chester!! read more

We have been to Dim Sum Taste 4 times since its recent opening and have found a gem. The food is outstanding. Just keep bring out the soup dumplings!!! We have sampled a large portion of the menu in our several trips and the quality is outstanding. The word has gotten out and their popularity is the biggest issue now. Its hard for the servers to keep up when it gets busy and the wait times can be long."champagne problems"...This place is great...Get the soup Dumplings!!! read more

I don't really like tomato's so when I like them you know they're dang good. We ordered the spicy rigatoni with a cutlet per Jenna's recommendation. I was absolutely blown away at HOW GOOD THE CUTLETS were. I'm a little picky about meat but these cutlets were the best I've ever had. They tasted incredible and were cooked perfectly. And they had a nice breaded crunch. Literally the best cutlets I've ever had The pasta itself was very good too. Big fat homemade rigatonis. Sauce was perfectly creamy and flavorful. But the added spice was a bit much for me. I was fine but I think I would've preferred it plain. My husband felt the opposite and highly the spice was mild so I don't know. We like spicy food we can handle relatively good spicy food but who knows ! It was still really good Our friend liked his branzino a lot. It's not something I would personally ever order but he seemed to really enjoy it he said! All in all we had a great time and want to come back asap (especially for those cutlets haha) thank you Jenna!!

Friendly atmosphere, a bit on the noisy side…read more I had the best avocado toast I've ever eaten: generous amount of perfectly ripe avocado enhanced by just the right amount of pico and a balsamic drizzle. My companion also found his biscuits with sausage gravy incomparable and enjoyed it immensely. The service was very good-hearted but rather disorganized. Three examples: 1) When we entered, we were offered a table or a booth, chose a table, and immediately were very cheerfully and politely taken to a lovely booth. 2) After asking our server for a few minutes to study the menu, a different server came by to take our order, and shortly after that the original server also came back to take our order. 3) One of our meals was delivered promptly to our table but the other went to a different table first. In spite of all this, however, we were treated very well and felt that the staff sincerely wanted to do everything they could to make our meal pleasant, which it was (mishaps notwithstanding).

The chocolate chips (if you get that option) was just sprinkled on top (not mixed into the batter). Pancake was a bit rubbery, but could be that we weren't eating it fresh Hash browns were nice and crispy, but did lack some flavor Corn muffins were good

We stopped here for an early mid-week dinner and were pleasantly surprised. Food here was for the…read moremost part very good and in larger than expected proportions. We definitely over-ordered but told plenty home for leftovers. For appetizers we ordered the pork belly bao buns and the Thai salad with shrimp. These are more entree size so be forewarned. The bao buns came in a taco server and had three buns filled with plenty of pork and a spicy aioli. The Thai salad came with 5 nicely charred shrimp and a Napa salad. This ate a little dry-I would have appreciated a bit more dressing- but I can see where more dressing might have made this a bit soggy. We would definitely order these again For entrees, we tried the burger and the chicken pot pie. The burger was a double patty with cheese, pickled onion, and a mayo based sauce on a sesame bun. I have to say I was happy to see that they opted out of the usual sad lettuce and anemic tomato that is typical of early spring. I think it was lacking some salt as it was missing something but overall was ok and served with crispy shoestring fries. The pot pie was topped with some puffed pastry and had a nice velvety sauce with hints of tarragon. Very nice. My dining partner finished my burger and took most of the pot pie and the side salad that came with it home. Even though my dining partner couldn't finish his regular entree, he wanted dessert. After looking at the choices the server suggested the seasonal dessert which was beignets with whipped cream, chocolate and strawberries. I was reticent but was happy with the choice because the chocolate dipping sauce (of which there was plenty ) was DELICIOUS! The beignets were fried puff pastry or croissant dough that one dipped in the warm chocolate fudge-y ganache and/or whipped cream. I ordered coffee which paired well with the dessert and it was delightfully fresh. Service was good, friendly and attentive. Decor is industrial farmhouse. Clientele consists of workers from the local courthouse up to about 6 pm when we saw families starting to file in. Nice place, good food, good value.
