I was in West Chester, PA, for a special event at the QVC/HSN studios, on Sunday, March 23, 2026. HSN host, Bobbi Ray Carter retired after 43 years, on-air. Lovely live studio audience event. I stayed at The Warner Hotel, which was very pleasant and only 2 blocks from TSUNAMI, my Sushi Lunch Favorite!! (I'm from NYC, so this calm, chill music vibe is much appreciated! ) I recommend TSUNAMI. If I was staying longer, I'd also try some of the Thai food offered here, too. Yesterday, I did see a lovely iced Thai Tea or Thai Coffee, not sure which, but it looked great. Enjoy a meal here. And relax. And, the gelato place almost next door, was enjoyable last night. I was happy this place was open on Christmas when most everything else was closed. Sadly, they didn't offer their weekly lunch special during the holiday so I tried a veggie roll and gyoza. I read reviews for this place before I went and was interested to see what type of experience that I would have. I'm happy to say it was a positive one! This is defenitly a family establishment with children of the staff present but they were quiet and it didn't bother me. The staff was attentive and everything that came out was delicious. They have a decent sized menu + seasonal specials and everything was reasonably priced. The chicken tempura and bang bang shrimp were great starters and all the rolls were fresh and delish! Never a bad time at this BYOB. Servers are great, food is great, all you could ask for. Very accommodating. Got sushi/ sashimi boat for two that came on a boat. The Pad Thai had a great nutty taste with a salty, yet sweet sauce. Was a little dry but I'm glad they included a lime with it because the zesty addition was really nice. I highly recommend getting it with shrimp. The Pad See Ew was my favorite dish. Definitely on the spicier side so be prepared for a kick. Noodles were perfectly thick and the beef was yummy and tender. The Massamam Curry was creamy with the cumin adding an earthy depth to it. The leftovers on this one were even better than the day we ordered it because the chicken had time to marinate. In my very first order they gave me an item for free, summer rolls. Markup in restaurants is not great, and they had no idea if I ever would be back. That's class. I've been back since for a couple years. Every time they throw in a freebie, but that's not what captured me. Apart from Peking at Granite Run in the 90's, it was the best Chinese I've ever had, and at a good price. Great restaurant! Went here on a Wednesday afternoon and there was no wait for 2 people. Our server was kind and checked in on us frequently. Also had drunken noodles. A huge freaking plate of noodles. When it arrived, I thought, there's no way I'm finishing this. I didn't even finish half, which is usually my goal/stopping point. There was just no way. (This is after I just burned 600 calories working out, so yeah, it was a lot of food). There was so much food, I ate it there, as well as for 2 lunch days. Will I be back? Started with seaweed salad which was good but a little moist for my tastes but still good. I had a simple shrimp tempura roll and some smoked salmon sushi. All were fresh and flavorful. Wifey had a special roll with tune and lobster which was big, almost more than a mouthful per slice, but really good. But the star of this visit was the orange chicken my daughter got. We went on a Wednesday night for dinner and waited almost an hour for our food to come out. The sushi for 2 was supposed to come out with spicy tuna roll and a specialty roll which we ordered the Sunrise roll. Instead they brought out a artificial crabmeat roll and then was charged $3 for choosing the Sunrise roll. It is not indicated anywhere on the menu that there would be an extra charge for select specialty rolls. I pointed out to the waitress that I am supposed to get a spicy tuna roll so they did fix that. This meal came with miso soup and it was so watery and bland. For how much I love Asian food and sushi, I'm surprised it took me this long to try Tsunami. I guess I've always been intimidated by the parking situation, and figured Michi Sushi is closer to me and has a parking lot. We actually didn't order the sushi (but I'm definitely coming back to order it!) We ordered the beef udon soup and drunken noodles. The noodle soup was pretty mild in flavor, I think it could have had more taste to it. The drunken noodles were good and the perfect amount of spicy in my opinion. We also got bubble tea which came in fancy wine-like glasses. The kids I were with thought it was so cool. The bubbles were also a great texture, which means they were fresh - as boba has a short lifespan of 4 hours max. The boys didn't finish their drinks and our waitress brought over to-go cups without us asking, which was thoughtful. Tsunami has been really smart during the COVID era. I always see them practicing safe operations and they have different sections set up for safe pick ups.
