My neighbor has been telling me about this place for awhile. He raves about their wide selection of good quality whiskey and an amazing selection of craft beers. I'm not much of a whiskey or beer drinker but decided to see what their other offerings were like. This store is located in a nondescript strip mall. It doesn't look like much from the outside but once you step inside you immediately realize this is a liquor store that is stocked by folks that know their booze! I'm a wine person and was impressed with the variety of wines they had to offer. The offerings covered all price ranges and seemed to represent the better quality labels and some smaller independent wineries too. I grabbed a bottle of imported Italian chianti and a cabernet sauvignon from a small Paso Robles vineyard. My wife had asked me to get a bottle of amaretto for an upcoming party and, not finding it on the store shelves, was informed they had bottles behind the counter. The guys working here were very helpful and friendly, prices were reasonable, and the selection was fantastic. Definitely my new go-to store for wine and other alcoholic pleasures. read more

The owner speaks on the phone to someone every AM in Arabic and waits a million minutes talking while you're standing waiting to pay, when he clearly saw you come in. It just sounds like he's talking shjt while you're waiting. If you want to talk shit about people buying alcohol at 9am, don't be open so early and don't be on the early shift. It is a nice store, but I avoid it unless I am forced to go there. Always gives an air of "you're a piece of shit, I'm on the phone, you can wait." Dimension Liquor is run by a father and son team and both of them are very nice and helpful. Their beer selection rivals the big chain liquor stores and the wine selection is good too. There's a wide variety of spirits, good tequila selection and some more unique items. The bourbon selection is good and you can find some great deals. I was recently at American Tire Depot, getting some new tires. Trying to kill time, I saw this liquor store in the same strip mall and decided to check it out. When I walked in, i gasped. I could not believe how much alcohol was in this store. Rows and rows of wine, tequila, whiskey, vodka, mini liquor bottles, specialty liquors, in addition to refrigerated cases encompassing the whole back of the store filled with lots of chilled wines, beer, and soft drinks. WOW! I decided to do some Christmas shopping as I noticed they had Michelada cups and I have a friend who loves these. I also purchased some mini liquor bottles of favorites of some of my friends to go in small holiday gift baskets. This place was also perfect as I was attending a Christmas party where I was instructed to BYOB. I purchased some BuzzBallz which were mixed drink balls filled with 20% alcohol. These were plastic balls fixed mixes of rum, tequila and vodka plus juices or fruit wines. Fun little party drinks, but man, they are strong. I had a lot of interesting comments from people who sampled them at the party I went to ;) Joe, the owner, is so fantastic. I felt welcome from the moment I walked in. He gave me a tour of his store and is a walking encyclopedia of alcoholic beverages. I had fun listening to his vast knowledge of his extensive inventory. I learned a lot about the different wines he carries and various vineyards he has visited. He introduced me to a lot of the fun, new liquors he carries, also. It is nice that Joe's son, Mike, is working alongside his father showing the same passion that his dad does about their store and customers. There are sale prices on items throughout the store. There are chips, snacks, lottery tickets and other standard liquor store items available at the store, also. At a time when there are big box liquor stores like BevMo and Total Wine and More in every city, it is nice to fine a local hidden gem like this with fantastic inventory, competitive prices and staff that really cares about their customers. read more

I called them today to see if they had Bourbon County and to my surprise, they actually had it in stock! I asked for the price and the guy over the phone said $14.99. That's understandable... I guess. Considering the MSRP is $10 a bottle.. it was already quite high to begin with. When I got there, I asked for a bottle and the guy said it was $19.99 per bottle. PER BOTTLE. That, my friends, is a 100% markup from MSRP. Look, I get it... it's a hard to find beer. But after seeing the price tag on it, I can understand why they still have plenty of stock of it. I was able to pick up 5 of them on black friday for no more than $12 a bottle. This was my first time here and shall be my last. read more

I have no idea how they stay open selling nice liquor in an industrial area, but it might be because the workers seem very nice. Either they are lazy with stocking, order too much, or just try to be cool with "behind the counter" stuff, they do stock items that aren't in plain sight so you have to ask. So I go in occasionally. I ask. I sometimes buy. I sometimes do not. They are usually friendly. Except the last time, when I asked JOE if he had anything new, he says "NO. Nothing new! You come in here, you ask, you never buy. So NO, nothing new for YOU". Bye JOE and your store, I will NEVER give you my hard earned money again. Very good beer selection, however the prices are more expensive than any other place I go to get craft beer. If the prices go down just a tad this place would be all around perfect. I get some 4 packs of specific brands for 19.99 but over here they are around $24-$26. I left 5 starts cause sams the man and he provides the absolute best service. Every time I find myself in Lake Forrest, I make it a point to go visit my favorite craft beer store - Dimension! 9 times /10 you'll find my friend Mike behind the register smiling back with new beers for you to buy. He does a great job of updating their current selections on facebook so check in regularly to get first dibs on their limited release rares. I'm personally a sour head and always manage to somehow pick up at least 3 bottles I'm there. My last pick up included a Tart of Darkness and Oude Tart from 'the Brewery' and a Sour Barley Wine that I'm really looking forward to trying. In addition to those, my haul included another 10 random craft bottles! I don't remember how much I spent, but I it was definitely well priced. I didn't pick up any hards, but they also have a great selection of everything you'd need for a party or your personal stash. A couple of months ago, I picked up a nice bottle of Yamazaki 12 year Japanese Whisky. Soooo good! If you're throwing a nice house party, definitely consider Dimension for kegs. I picked up a full keg of Blue Moon for a great price a year ago. The process was easy and hassle free. Came here after reading the good reviews in search of a very hard to find bourbon. Even though no other store in the area had a bottle of this bourbon (one got some in but only sold them to top customers) these guys came up with a bottle for me. They charged a reasonable price especially considering this bourbon is known for selling for 5-10x the retail price (even some liquor stores are known for gouging customers on these bottles). I'm not much of a drinker but I do buy bottles as gifts throughout the year; I'll be making this my new go-to instead of my usual mass market stops. read more

This is a pretty standard California liquor store with the usual disorganized mess of booze and pricey grocery items. I give it a better than average rating for 1) an unpredictable but occasionally fantastic craft beer selection; 2) an active Facebook feed that announces the arrival of desirable craft beers; and 3) a very friendly father/son combo who run the place. I've talked mostly to Mike the son who does the buying and knows his beers. I stop by when I am in the area to poke around and generally end up with a bomber or two. read more
