I literally only came here to pick up a giant buzz ball for a holiday event. The shelves were certainly stocked up as it was the week prior to Thanksgiving. It was extremely easy to locate the buzz ball and I did not really interact with any of the associates. However, I did notice that everyone was working quite hard to stock the shelves and move the inventory, as there was a good crowd in the store even in the early evening of a weekday. I only dock a point since I am normally accustomed to at least one associate asking if I need help finding something or directing me to the right aisle. Surprisingly, I passed by at least 3 associates but they all seemed to either ignore me or be in the middle of thinking of what to do next. Either way, I found what I needed, I was able to confirm my rewards account was still active, and the cashier made the transaction go smoothly. I usually don't leave reviews, but this visit was disappointing. The staff seemed disorganized and uninterested in helping. When I asked for a specific bottle, no one knew where to find it, and I got passed around from one person to another. The shelves were messy, and several prices didn't match what was shown online. To top it off, checkout took forever even though the store wasn't that busy. I expected better from a place that's supposed to be known for customer service and selection. I was just returning a keg. I don't know the logistics of returning a keg, so I went to the checkout stand. The woman at the register was just very rude in general, told me a few cryptic things, so I ended up leaving the keg at the customer service stand... everybody was ignoring me.... Was almost surrealistic.... Then I went back to the cashier to get my deposit back, and the woman still had an attitude like making me feel like I was an inconvenience to be in the store.... Note: when I came in, it was not even busy at all. Nobody was in line. At the end of the day, I don't wanna come back here anymore. She came in to purchase her favorite brand of tequila -- one she knows and enjoys. However, instead of being helped with her usual choice, she was directed toward a more expensive brand that she ultimately did not like. When she returned to the store, visibly upset and hoping to exchange the product, she was met not with understanding, but with an offensive and inappropriate question from the cashier: "Are you drunk?" My mother speaks differently due to age-related dental issues, but to assume intoxication -- and to say so aloud -- was deeply disrespectful, especially to an elderly woman who deserves dignity and consideration. This kind of treatment is not only hurtful but also reflects poorly on your customer service standards, especially in a community like Laguna Woods where many of your patrons are seniors. I urge you to take this complaint seriously and ensure your staff receives proper training in respectful communication and sensitivity toward elderly customers. I love this stores layout. I had to travel to this area to pick up my motorcycle and I can only buy my favorite beer in Southern California at Total Wine or the brewery it's made at in El Segundo CA. As it is , I don't really drink beer , I'm more of a whiskey woman , so when I do drink beer, it's Steve Austin's Broken Skull IPA. I even had a custom logo put on my truck of that Skull. I love all things Steve Austin , so when he came out with this beer I gave it a try and I very much enjoy it. I can't buy it out here now that I'm in Colorado so I was able to stock up at Total Wine. read more

This is a very comprehensive and totally well stocked store. The service personnel are fantastic and know their stuff. I worked with a big tall guy named Greg Hine. He was very busy but took time to answer my questions and helped me to decide what to buy. I was not familiar with some wines and Greg discussed some of the merits of different reds and whites according to my price requirements. I also needed to put together the components of a Margarita gift basket so Greg helped me to choose the proper sizes and types of goods that are necessary. All in all, this is a terrific store and I will be returning here again soon. It's neat and clean and orderly and the staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. read more

I ordered some French wine online, three bottles to beat the tariffs. I got a text that my order was ready for pickup early. The policy stated when you check out online is that they will keep the order for one week after the pickup date (NOT the date they have it ready). Magically, it was cancelled as out of stock the day before the pickup date! Pretty obvious to me that they're arranging to withhold existing stock so that they can mark it up as if tariffed, and pocket the difference. The other TWM location I've dealt with will be my choice from now on. Update: I was able to order two bottles (not three) today, at the same price as before. Not sure how it could be ready early, returned early, out of stock, then not out of stock... but I was wrong in assuming it was because of tariffs. My apologies for that. I placed an order online. There was a one hour delivery window of 6-7 PM. . I paid $ 8.99 for delivery plus tip, but no one showed. When I looked online, my order went from "in process" to "returned". I called the store and they said they would send it back out and maybe the driver could not find me. My address is easy to find and I have never had delivery issues. Plus this store has delivered to me one other time. The delivery never arrived. I don't know what happened. Absolutely despicable experience from the cashier and the manager. Tried buying some wine with my friend. 2 grown men pushing 26 years old. My buddy was paying so he gave him his ID, they refused to sell to us because I didn't provide my ID, which I didn't happen to have at time. I always have a digital copy, and a picture of course on my phone for these instances. The manager completely refused to look at my picture ID or hear out the situation. He couldn't even look me in the face as he rejected our business. The cashier was extremely rude about everything as well. Came here last night to see if the had Blake Livelys drink "Betty Booze." They had it yes but not the alcohol free mixers which are Betty Buzz, they only had 1 flavor. (They weren't that great.) We take that to the front and the girl at the front already has a fuchi face on. She asked us for our phone number to type in the reward points. I hadn't been here in a bit and so I gave her my number and it didn't correlate to an acct. I gave them my cousins who was with me and it didn't pop up either. At this point she was already bothered that she had to enter 2 phone numbers. She asked for my ID since I'm paying, then she asks for my cousins, who forgot her bag in the bar, but she had her phone and a copy of her military and regular ID is in her phone. Before my cousin is done with her sentence, the girl goes, "I'm going to have to ask for manager approval on that one." My cousin goes forget it I'll go get my ID it's in the car. So the girl suspends my transaction, and we're waiting at the register for my cousin to come back. Im 30 she's 29. She's back with her ID and the lady proceeds to ring us out without really talking to us. We were probably a little too happy for her mood. read more

They have a huge variety of wines and beers but sometimes their stock is low and we can't find what we are looking for and leave empty handed and have to drive further to Bevmo. The staff is usually nice and they always ID us... makes me feel young. I've tried many of the staff picks on the wine throughout the years and haven't been disappointed yet. The store itself is clean and well organized. The parking lot can get a little crazy because of the chick fil a... watch out for those drive thru people when coming or going. read more

He then 'banned' me from coming back in the store because he couldn't handle a little back talk, when he saw me walking to the entrance door trying to exit because my friends ID was in my car. Once i get to the door the Manger said very rudely "that door is not going to open for you." Understandable it wouldn't open but the fact he watched me walk all the way around just to say that sarcastic remark. I then tell him "wow i wish you would've told me that before i walked all the way around" That's when he threw a hissy fit and didn't allow me to come back in after getting my friends ID. I came in as a customer a couple days prior to my interview for one of the open positions. It wasn't very busy and I understand how stressful retail work is and have a lot of respect for those who work retail. With that said - almost everyone at this location appears to be miserable and does not even try to hide it or knows how to greet customers. It doesn't take me long to find out why... the manager does not set a good example and is very rude to the employees. Very condescending also. When I came up and pretended to not know the location of a particular bottle of wine and kindly asked for help - I got a not so subtle sigh as a response and was treated as though I was wasting their time. Did not pass the customer service test or give me good vibes at all. Nothing against the workers in this case. I don't blame anybody for not wanting to work here. I wouldn't even recommended it for a first time job or something to do while in school. I love wine, but I think I'll take my business elsewhere too. read more
