Horrible!!!! Had leak from hot water heater. Arrangements made with Dimitresse Construction through home warranty company as plumbing service provider. Only communication is by leaving voicemail, email, and maybe text (they stated they never received). Live conversation only after a no show from technician with an email stating "Sorry we missed you". They said they tried the number through the gate box and didn't get a response, but did not call nor use the gate code provided in the confirmation email and left. When finally spoke to someone they said the portion of the email with the gate code listed must have been cut off and dialed wrong phone number. They couldn't come back for three days. This process was in the span of an hour as I kept calling until I spoke with them. I had taken off work and made arrangements with other vendors that made it just fine. read more

American home shield sent them out to look at my water heater, and the technician said it would be in a easy replacement. Prior to them coming out, they told me I would have to pay for half the water heater, which I discussed with american home shield, and they said only for plumbing modifications. Dimitrist construction refuses to give me an itemization on why it would be three hundred ninety five dollars.When I only have a foot of plumbing coming out of my wall. Stay clear of these people. Terrible. They were sent out by AHS to inspect and write an estimate for a shower rough-in that has a cartridge that's failed. I had taken the knobs and cover plate off in advance of his arrival, and left them in the shower. The service man was in our home for less than 5 minutes (without tools), stating he'd taken photos and would go write up an estimate for replacing the cartridge and submit it to AHS. Instead, according to AHS, the service man's report stated that the shower fixture had been "disassembled before his arrival and parts were missing". The shower rough-in wasn't disassembled (only the knobs and cover plate removed and left in the shower) and NOTHING was missing. As a result, he stated they wouldn't be able to fix it... After paying a $125 deductable for the service call, it certainly feels like a scam for Dimitresse Construction to collect these payments with no intention of doing any work. The company lied to the warranty company about our plumbing issue even after I showed them a video and picture of what happened in the middle of the night and why the pipe was removed. Clearly they don't like to do warranty company jobs from reading reviews. read more

Dimitresse was sent by AHS. It seems I was luckier than other reviewers. He turned the knob to the shower, but never opened the wall to look at the actual valves. On the diagnosis to AHS, the technician said he had replaced the cartridge and the shower was still leaking. The fix was $675 of pipe modifications. Considering the technician didn't even look at the valves, he sure as hell did not replace the cartridges. AHS is sending another technician to diagnose. If I can't trust the company to basic honesty on the diagnosis, I sure as hell will not trust the quality of their work. read more

AHS called this company to my condo. They spent a few minutes and refused service saying there was a piece missing. I called a plumber myself and he replaced the cartridge in the shower/ tub in ten minutes for $140. If American Home Shield tries to have this company come out do yourself a big favor and refuse them and ask for another company. I was charged and had to dispute with credit card company. read more

Very unprofessional. My Warranty company uses this vendor and I've had two bad experiences. They are horrible. George wanted me to pay my $75 service charge before even doing any work. After some troublesome miscommunication, George was able to make his way back to the home and quickly resolve the issue. Initially they had closed the ticket with AHS without fixing the issue, so I had AHS reopen the case and they came back and fixed the leak. It was definitely frustrating but I would not blame the technician in this situation. read more

This company is affiliated with my Service Contract company. They have a person working in the West Palm Beach area which is very far from their registered location. I had serious flooding in one bathroom. Since everything was wet or damp, my son and I cleared everything out of the bathroom including the vanity. This would also make it easier for the plumber to do his work. He said he found the problem but he would have to come back since he needed help removing the toilet. AND, there would be an additional charge. I asked him to check behind the dry wall as it appeared that's where the water was comping from. I was fully prepared to make any repairs necessary at this time. He refused and insisted he knew what the problem was. He returned a few days later to make the repair. Since the bathroom now has nothing more that a toilet and bath, we had a new flood installed and a temporary vanity and sink. This is an extra bathroom and is rarely used. A few months later, the flooding started again....in exactly the same area...behind the drywall. It took many call to finally get a response from this company. They were very reluctant but finally sent the same guy over to take a look. The "plumber" pretty much blamed everyone for the leak without taking any responsibility. He was even more condescending than he was orig9inally. If he would have just checked behind the drywall when I originally asked...I would NOT have to do all of this again. Do not use these guys. They were selected for me by my home warranty company. After arriving to diagnose the problem with my failing water heater, they provided a quote for the repair/replacement. By the time I got done arguing other issues with my home warranty company, Dimitresse changed their diagnosis to indicate that my water heater was fine. That's quite interesting, considering it is still actively leaking. And now they won't communicate with me or with the warranty company. I would suggest running the other way from this company. I would also suggest staying far away from American Home Shield as a home warranty company. They are terrible too, but that's another story for another review. read more

My experience with their plumber Ivan was horrible.He was very argumentative confrontational and lacked professionalism and knowledge. If you have a home warranty with American Home Shield and Dimitresse Construction accepts the repair work, immediately run and hide. The home warranty company AHS will only pay a very small amount to DC in labor costs to replace a hot water heater and DC knows that, the rest is up to Dimitresse Construction to collect from me the customer, in one way or another, in my case they were going to charge me $295 to disconnect and reconnect the vent on top of the water heater, actually easier than doing the same thing to clean out your dryer vent and justified the charge as a modification as per the AMS contract. Pure BS. They did the same for the water lines for (disconnecting and reconnecting) to the tune of $595, again they called it a modification. Neither are modifications to my hot water system, in my case I got two other bids from local contractors and accepted a cash-out offer from AMS and saved a boat load of money. I really don't appreciate how they do business, they caused my wife and I a lot stress and anxiety over a four day period where we had no hot water and the hot water heater was leaking on the second floor of our home with the possibility of a major water leak, which is every home owners nightmare. read more

Sent to me by Choice home warranty (talk about poor choice!), these people could not be less interested in fixing anything - their only goal is to find a reason to decline service. Technician spent less than 5 minutes in my house, agreed that the issue exists and that's what he'll report, promptly left and less than an hour later home warranty company notified me that the claim is closed because there are no mechanical issues identified! Mind you this was second opinion, because first plumber tried to fix it, but after few attempts realized, that since the unit is discontinued, there is no replacement part that will form proper seal, and the whole unit needs to be replaced. Obviously that's not what warranty company wanted to hear. Luckily there is Dimitresse construction that will deny the obvious and refuse to come out again, because - you guessed it! - there is no issue if they said so! My claim is reassigned to another company, that actually stands behind their work, as for Dimitressse - may their success match their professionalism! read more

This company is 1 of 3 companies that I'd consider as the worst I've ever encountered. A warranty company sent them to my home to find out why my hot water wasn't working and the technician told me to order 3 shower cartridges and to call them back when they came in so they could install them. I called them back to install them and a different technician came and he told me he did not want to install them because he would not get paid. I said this is what your technician told me to do, so he installed 1 of the 3 and said he'd install the 2nd one the next day but he refused to do the 3rd. The next day he came he shut off the water first then began to install the 2nd one bit while he was working I called the warranty company to let them know he refused to install the 3rd cartridge, the technician got mad and left before installing the 2nd one and he left without turning my water back on. When I called his company to let them know he up and left, the girl answering the phone was not only rude but hung up on me. They are number 2 on my list of worst companies I've ever encountered in my life. read more
