Getting gas here is a chore now…read more OK, so now you can pump your own gas in Oregon. I don't have a problem with that. But I DO have a problem with pumps that can take cards, but don't, with no attendants, forcing you to walk quite a ways across a lot into another building out of view of your car and wait in line. When you go to insert your card you're met with a little screen that says "Machine not currently taking cards. Please pay inside" or something like that. Even though the machine has a card reader, and I've used it before in the past under previous ownership. So OK, cool no problem. My legs aren't broken. I'll just walk inside. Now I have to wait in line at least 10 minutes behind people humming and hawing at what they want out of the deli case. Or to stare blankly at the menu as if they've never seen or heard of chicken on a stick before. I do finally get up there. I hand the kid my card. "How's it going? I'd like some gas. Fill on pump three please" He asks me how much? I say "a fill, I want to fill it up please" Then he asked me, well do you know like what dollar amount that's gonna be?. Really man? No, that's kind of what you're supposed to tell me after the car has been filled up. So they don't have the technology to put an authorization on my card, and then charge me what the total is when I'm done pumping the gas? Am I the only person that ever comes in and asks them to fill it up? Really? I say "Just give me $10" Only $10? "Yes please, thanks." (Just give me enough to get up the road to someplace that knows how gas stations are supposed to work.)

Well, the only thing worse than the clerk/manager's attitude - something akin to slightly reheated…read morefeces, if you want my opinion - would be the exorbitant prices... but then again, the only other option in the area is the Oakridge Ray's, home of the $4 avocado. On the other hand, they've got bigfoot hats for the tourists, and a valuable life lesson for free: don't live in the boonies where you can get financially boned by a sullen grouch. :)

I always check pictures of food before anything and this place had great looking food. The reviews…read morewere not great and some said it was out of business so I was weary as I am an extremely picky eater. But the outside is deceiving. YES they are open, the restaurant is on the left, it looks like they use the right side as storage. The man working moves slower but he did an incredible job with the food and quality. He was kind, and the food was delicious. We grabbed takeout and were not in a rush so we really liked this place. The fries were perfect!

We decided to stop in to see what kind of shop it was and we were pleasantly surprised to find that there was a deli, a convenience store and a little grocery section. It's also spotlessly clean. This store is open until 10:00 p.m. AND on holidays!!! Who else does that in Sisters? Drew, the owner, is really friendly and nice and he has lived in Sisters forever. We look forward to having some lunches and buying emergency supplies here. I think this store would get a ton of business if it had better signage. I hope people start discovering it, because Drew deserves the business.

Small town gas stations/stores are usually expensive and have a very limited selection. That wasn't the case here. The bathrooms were incredibly clean and huge. I love that they painted Bigfoot footprints from the door out to the restrooms. It's cute and fun. The store is awesome. They have a huge selection for being such a tiny store, and prices are really good. I love that they carry Umpqua Dairy products, milk, ice cream, and cottage cheese. If I lived closer, I'd come in for those all the time. Prices are actually really reasonable. My husband and I picked up some snacks and soda while we were there. We really didn't need anything, but I wasn't stopping to use the bathroom and not make a purchase. Employee was super welcoming and helpful. I loved that I had time to walk around the entire store to simply browse everything they had to offer, which was more than I expected them to have. But I felt welcome to do so. There was no rush, no being watched, just a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere in this store. Would I return? Oh my word, yes! I've literally driven by this store a thousand times over the years and never stopped. Which kind of irritates me that I missed out on his little gem of a store.

I'm guessing this is where the people of Oakridge come to get work done because there were ample seats and WiFi set up. In fact, there were a couple people getting work done when we got here. What we got: Breakfast burrito $9 Breakfast sandwich $9 Shriek breakfast sandwich $10 Quiche $6- goes well with ketchup and green Tabasco sauce Triple Timber $6- specialty drink that has: hazelnut+caramel mocha with 3 shots of espresso The Roaring Lion $5.5: vanilla chai tea latte with 2 shots of espresso.
