They were SO busy, but service was quick and friendly. The daily special? Chicken fried steak of course! Bring it on! The chicken fry and mandatory white gravy were delicious. The fries were the perfect crispy. Even the honey mustard dressing on my salad tasted homemade! And all this for $8.95. I love small towns! Excellent for breakfast. My recommendation is the 2 egg breakfast that comes with bacon or sausage, hash browns & your choice of toast or biscuits (with gravy upon request). Lunch is good too (with daily specials). Fast, friendly service. You really can't go wrong here. Only down side is they're only open until 2pm Mon-Fri. read more

Nice ambience, clean and country chic vibe. They have a set of specials for every day of the week and I chose the day's special which was a king ranch casserole based upon a recommendation. I had a side of green beans and okra. I thought that the casserole was fine. It wasn't great and it wasn't bad. It was a bit salty for my taste although others might like it. It had a creamy, cream of mushroom type of filling and the chicken chunks were average in size and taste. The portion size was smaller than I though a restaurant with a country vibe would give but ok - I'm a small guy so maybe they dished out accordingly. The sides were Fine too. I'm not trying to be a good snob but I thought that the food would be better than it was. In the end it was just ok. I will go back but next time I want to try something else that fellow yelpers recommend as I have hope that they can do better. I do think if you want a clean place with friendly staff then this is a good choice. read more

I had lunch here on business with a co-worker. They have weekly daily specials that consist of two specials and two extra off menu sides per day. I came on a Tuesday and had meatloaf. Very old school tasty! They have small and regular portions. I had the small and paid 6.50, lunch was under $10 with tip! Perfect lunch sized portion! I left full and sleepy! Rustic atmosphere and very friendly service. The restaurant was overall extremely clean. You can see into the kitchen when walking to restroom and the kitchen was immaculate. Will be back! read more

The best homestyle cooking I think I've ever had. Cracker Barrel doesn't hold a candle to this place. We were visiting from out of town, and came here after the morning hunt.
