My husband and I went to dine. When we entered we were not greeted nor acknowledged. Sat at a table for I would say for at least 10 minutes. No menus or drink order. Went and asked for Menus and was told that the waitress would be with us in a few minutes. Add 10 more minutes to this. I went to get us menus and was told "umm ok". I called and asked to speak to the manager on duty but instead got the owners daughter who blatantly told me she wasn't a waitress. All the while employees were rude and in their cell phones. 0/10 do not dine here. Highly don't recommend!!! read more

In the past this place has always delivered great good at a great value(except the French fries and hash browns) . But it has always had an issue with the "old timers parking right in front of the door. I have very limited mobility and at times we have gone to other restaurants because I couldn't easily get in. Tonight someone blocked the door after we came in. My sister asked them politely to move do she could get me in the car more easily, they had no problem and said of course. They even held the door for me and helped me get in the car. The waitress with the bright red hair started telling then to not move and make me go around. I would have to say that this is probably the worst patty melt that I have ever got from graford Cafe it was supposed to have extra mayonnaise extra onions it is so dry that I can barely take a bite if the toast is dry it's barely got any cheese on it the burger patty is dried out and now they're closed at 9:00 9:16 and not nobody will answer the phone and so now I'm stuck with nothing to eat tonight read more

We read reviews and decided to give it a try while RVing at the lake. The food was delicious! We ordered the XXL onion rings which was more than two people could eat. I had a patty melt. The bread was crispy and the cheese was melty. I definitely recommend it if you like patty melts. My husband got the Southwest Burger. It was huge! read more

The best patty melt sandwich I've ever had! Perfectly toasted rye bread, cheesy, with a good amount of grilled onions. Sorry, no pic as I must have been too excited to eat it that I forgot to snap a pic! The onion rings are HUGE and came out extremely hot. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is the place has a strong oil or tar odor to it, and has for years. Otherwise, the food quality is always excellent! read more

We decided to stop here on our way to Haskell from Dallas and we are so glad we did. We got out of the car and realized that they closed at 3 and it was 2:55 and they still welcomed us in. Went for the first time in Sunday. Place was very busy, but the staff was hustling! We sat pretty quickly considering how full the place was and we were a party of 6. Service was good, food was fantastic! We were hungry so ordered appetizers and glad we did. It definitely is freshly cooked food and takes a bit. We had hushpuppies, tater tots and fried zucchini. It was all very good. Even though we were indulging with fried food, nothing felt greasy. It was all freshly made and so good. Patty melt was delicious, Chicken club sandwiches were huge. My sister got it with fried chicken, and my niece did grilled. Both said very good. My nephew had the popcorn shrimp basket which he enjoyed very much. Staff brought out food as soon as it was done, and kept the drinks filled. Very impressed, and worth the drive! And it's fun inside, lots to look at one the walls while you wait. I just felt the need to remind you how good the chicken fry is at The Cafe. Mike and I were In Mineral Wells to get some Crazy Water. He said it's chicken fry time. A quick look at Yelp showed me that Graford was closer than Stephenville, 2 of my favorite chicken fry's. Off we went. Now, Mike is easily the pickiest eater I know. Very seldom have I seen him satisfied. He said it was a very good chicken fry, but the batter was a little too thick. See, never satisfied! We both took home leftovers, and I got a slice of German chocolate cake and a slice of strawberry cream pie to go. He took German chocolate and coconut cream. This is the best place to eat in all of Palo Pinto County. Food is exceptional, staff courteous and friendly! Deserts are most certainly a reason to visit on their own. If your out at Possum Kingdom this is a must stop. read more

The quality of food here is outstanding. This food is made from scratch with tons of flavor and love. It's also priced right. I've been coming here for several years and the staff has been consistent which tells me they are well taken care of and they provide excellent (but not overbearing) service. Why I have never been here after owning a place at PK for almost 5 years I do not know-major mistake on my part. Great hot breakfast and am definitely going back real soon to try a burger or Chicken Fried Steak. Big portions. Mainly locals and people from the lake. This place is NOT good! I've eaten here twice and both were bad. Think of a truck stop and thats basically what you'll find here. Restaurant is dirty and staff is rude. The food is pretty much a fried food lovers paradise, it was difficult to find anything remotely healthy on the menu. Im sure the only reason they stay in business is because there is no competition around. The staff mentioned that the owner is also the cook and was off on fourth of July weekend, that tells me they don't value thier staff if they left them short handed when they KNEW it was going to be busy! In a small town, most restaurants are hit or miss. I've found that this restaurant is a huge hit among everyone ive brought there! They serve a variety of foods, and the staff are always super polite and check on the guests constantly - filling up waters, checking on the enjoyment of food, etc. - without being too obnoxious. First impression is that this cafe smells like tar. Second impression is that so far we have sat far we have sat for 45 minutes with no food. Waitress said they had a big to go order before ours but so far I don't have a lot of hope. We had heard very good verbal reviews and as we spent the day at the lake we thought this would be a great place to try. Now to taste! Will get back to you. As you can see they serve a lot of food for the money, and it tasted good except the beans were cold. Will probably try it again sometime. Who knows? Tried again! I know good food and this place is GOOD. I've been coming here for several years now as an out-of-towner from the DFW area. This restaurant has always been good but it just got better with their expanded menu. Their new quesadilla is the best I've ever had. So much cheesy goodness - I can't even! There is something for everyone here. My dad enjoys the catfish and my husband enjoys their burgers. They also do a solid breakfast. It looks like they serve beer now too. I had the Reuben sandwich and my son had the jalapeno cheddar burger. Both were fantastic. It is definitely a cafe with a variety of sandwich and entree choices. Like other posts, the smell is horrible, almost unbearable actually. My husband said it smells like dirty diesel fuel. If the weather would have been nicer, we would have eaten outside in their covered dining area. The service was fine. The prices are on point.
