The stylists worked in teams and were kind every step of the way despite the immense amount of work this was for them. They made her feel comfortable and unjudged and ultimately manage to salvage more of her hair than any of us expected. I genuinely cannot say enough good things about how they helped her through this very hard life lesson. They deserve the absolute highest reviews and I am forever grateful to them

I've been with Dino Palmieri when they were at Chapel Hill Mall before closing it there and that was from 1999 to 2000. I'm still with the same stylist that has done my hair at Summit Mall. Kellie Saxon is the best when it comes to ethnic hair. She understands the texture and color that will work with your hair and what will help it. She listens to what you want in your hair style. When I first went to her, I had concerns about my premature graying that I had since at the age of 12. I wanted to keep my natural highlights that are red and that my hair was a virgin to any kind of products like color and perm chemicals. Plus I am Asian. The process that she did to my hair took close to 2 hours because of the length and being it my first color job. The out come was great. I love her to this day and still go to her when it is needed. The salon is located left of The Starbucks from the center of the mall coming from the food court and across from The Build the Bear store where you can hear chants and screams of little girls attending a birthday party. The salon is clean and neat. Customer service is great. They offer water, tea, coffee and I think maybe wine? Don't quote me on that. The cost of the hair coloring and cut depends on who you go to. Kellie Saxon is the Senior stylist there which means that she took more classes, knows her trade, knows techniques and styles and at the end means $$$. All of the stylist are certified and well recommended. Plus if you received a bad color job from another company and you don't want to go back to them, go as a walk-in and ask if someone can try to fix it to be normal. There is no harm in asking for a second opinion. In the end no matter where she is I will follow my stylist even if I have to travel across the world to have my hair colored right. read more

I have been apprehensive to get my hair colored since Covid hit. I haven't got my hair colored or cut since 2019!! (Except for a very poor attempt at cutting my own hair over the summer in quarantine...) My roots were nearly to my chin, and I knew I was in desperate need of a change. Sam was very understanding of the lapse of time since my last visit and made me feel at ease. Sam is so sweet and genuine! Sam worked wonders and seamlessly transitioned my awful dark roots into the beautiful shade of bright ashy-blonde that I was so used to having!! She took so much time and care with my hair, I really appreciate her genuine attention to detail. She understood the specific tone, shade, and color of blonde that I wanted: ashy, let still bright. I was able to completely relax and let her do my hair, having full-comfort in knowing she would be able to work the miracle that was needed! She cut just enough to let me keep my length, while removing all the dead to make my hair healthy. It seems so thick and manageable now! (It was to my waist, longer than it's ever been in my life!!! I would sometimes accidentally tuck it into my pants!!) I recommend Sam to anyone, especially any blondes! She is truly genuine and so talented. Carrie was so helpful and accommodating. I was coming in walking with crutches and she was so helpful in assisting me. It's so nice to be greeted with such a warm smile and friendly face. She is always so kind and caring. I've been going to Dino Palmieri @ Summit Mall for a lot of years now. Melodie is the best stylist there. The atmosphere there is so great. All of the people that work there are super friendly. Melodie is an amazing stylist with my thick out of control (at times) hair. The different styles and colors that she has convinced me would be great over the years have always been just what she said....GREAT! Was just there last week and had layers added to my hair and colored it Burgundy. It looks fabulous and I have gotten tons of compliments. Dino Palmieri @ Summit Mall is worth the trip and money. I live in an area of Cleveland with several trendy salons nearby. After years of overpriced and mediocre haircuts and rude reception staff, I decided to go to Jenn Kidd at Dino Palmieri in Fairlawn. It is worth the hour-long drive, because my cut and color are perfect every single time. Jenn knows that I need to look fairly conservative due to my profession, and that I am too busy to fuss with my hair in the morning. I generally allow her to decide what to do to my hair, and it always looks professional, yet very chic, and she cuts it in such a way that it is easy for me to style. I have lived in Honolulu, HI and San Diego, CA and the best salon in the U.S. (not just Mainland!) is Dino Palmieri at Summit. I have fine hair and very few stylists understand what that means. Melodie not only understands how my hair will (or won't ) cooperate with any particular cut, but she was able to "repair" my color. The salon is fun, the stylists are witty AND professional and I look forward to my visits there like some people look forward to their weekends with their college roommates. I have lived in Akron, OH, Milwaukee, WI, and currently in Lexington, KY. and I still go back to see Melodie at Dino Palmieri in Summit to get my hair cut. Melodie does an amazing job with my hair. She always knows exactly how to cut or color my hair and yet makes it so I can easily maintain it. The staff is super courteous and friendly, very easy to talk to. They always work around my schedule and are true to appointment times. I highly recommend this salon for all your hairstyle needs and then some. I too went here as a walk in about 10 years ago and have followed my stylist, Tyrell Kendrick, since. The reception desk is friendly and I'm offered a variety of beverages while I wait. Their selection of products is limited, which may be a negative for some. I would consider the price to be mid-range, but you get what you pay for. The staff is highly trained and are current with their trends. I highly recommend Tyrell Kendrick. I'm a white female. For years he has done a superb job. I normally don't leave reviews, but I was very happy with the service here! I am very specific about how I want my hair cut. My hair is usually very long, but due to a bad haircut somewhere else, I ended up cutting it myself short. I wanted layers, but because my hair was short I wasn't sure how I wanted the layers, I just told Kat that I wanted layers in my hair and to make it look cute and youthful; other than that I really didn't know what else to tell her. Jenn is AWESOME! She takes care of both my son (who has curly/wavy hair) and did an ombré treatment on my hair that turned out GORGEOUS. I was surprised to find such a nice location in a mall. I'm used to a mall salon being like a $10 supercuts. Don't let the fact that its a mall sway you. And a previous poster said "get them in and get them out" ??? In two visits Sam was able to give me what I have been asking other stylist for 10 years. She takes feedback (good or bad) and uses this to perfect her craft! She genuinely cares about her clients (she let me vent and cry in her chair today as this was the first human contact outside of my family in 3 months) and didn't rush into doing my hair. I needed a hair cut before a trip the next day, and this was one of the few places open late on a Saturday. Kate was super sweet with a great personality. I wasn't sure what I needed, but told her my frustrations with the grown out style I had. She looked at my hair and knew just what it needed to freshen it up. Jenn Kidd has been cutting my hair for a couple of years now and if one thinks that she isn't a "rock star" stylist, then one has never had his hair cut by her. The things she can do are miraculous. In fact, I don't refer to her as my stylist, I refer to her as my miracle worker. The salon itself is nice for a mall location and the recent renovation was a welcome face-lift. It looked like something for Halloween... grey, white and charcoal colors. After two more visits (1 to condition and the next to re-color) my hair was still not anywhere close to the pictures that I had shared and remained damaged. I was devastated. I needed to share so that a buyer can beware since the salon comes with high reviews. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend VCS and, while I hesitate to write negative reviews, I would not want this to happen to someone else. If you do go there, select a different person, for sure.
