I had been looking for a Salon that would cut and highlight on a Sunday. My Saturdays are full with other demands. Does anyone else have this same problem? Years ago, I had a superior cut at the Dino Palmieri Strongsville Salon, so thought I would try Summit Mall.. They could fit me in on my schedule, so that was a great start! The Receptionist even took the time to answer all my questions the week beforehand. Everyone at the Salon was extremely nice, and welcoming. Carli took the time to truly understand my hair and what I wanted. She was friendly, engaging and knew how to work with my hair. I am a fading redhead with thick wavy hair and that means the highlights have to be just right. It's no easy task. She did an excellent job!!! The results were perfect! The costs were a little higher than some, but it was worth it to be there on a Sunday and have that great Customer Service experience. I was so glad to find a skilled and friendly Stylist/ Salon with great hours and Service!!! I will be visiting again on a Sunday! read more

The last time I had had my hair trimmed and colored had been nearly two years ago and although I'm not big on sitting in a chair for hours waiting for the color I figured it was about time for some TLC. I made an appointment with Colleen at Dino Palmieri for an evening after work. From the start she worked around the fact that my hair would take hours and I didn't even get off work until 5pm. Her willingness to work a bit later to take care of a customer was great. Once there she got started and it was just a comfortable atmosphere. I'm very shy and very awkward when it comes to socializing but she didn't make me feel that way at all. She kept conversation going as she worked on my hair and before I knew it she was done. My hair and head felt so much better and looked incredible. I would give more stars if I could. read more

The two hairstylist who "attempted" to help us seemed more than unhelpful with scheduling my 8 year old. They seemed flat out annoyed with answering our questions. Very bad people skills. I can't support these types of businesses. To top off this horrible experience. While taking pictures for my yelp review I was approached by security. They asked me if I worked for this company. Lol, while dressed in full basketball attire I responded no. Obviously. Then I was asked if I had "Permission" to take a pics of the this place. Love Dino... great prices for more of a high end salon in the area. The customer service is phenomenal from the time you enter the door, they have a Keurig and Wine you can drink while you are getting your services completed. Samantha is the stylist I prefer, she is amazing! She always listens to what I want, she remembers how I like my hair styled etc. read more

I came in for the first time . I needed my hair fixed from a bad cut a few months ago. She did a great job.

I had never been here before, walked in without an appointment in the middle of the day on a Saturday, and got taken immediately. The receptionist was super nice and even stored away my coat and purchases while I got my haircut. Makayla cut my hair and was really great. She consulted with me first about what I wanted and asked a lot of questions. I also had my hair washed and it was so nice. Maybe it's something about laying back in a chair or the nice smelling hair products they use, but I could have fallen asleep. My haircut was satisfactory. I wasn't getting anything overly complicated, but she removed my split ends and made sure everything was even and to my liking. My cut was around $40 before tip which I think is fair. read more

I have always been a stylist's nightmare, because when i want a cut, i know EXACTLY what i want. and if it's not right, i tend to have a bit of a meltdown. In the many years that I have been going to Jenn, i have never once had a haircut that i've hated. We've done colors from platinum to pink to black and back, and i've gone from hair down my back to a pixie, and i've always looked and felt great. Jenn is a genius, period. This place is expensive and you don't really get the spa salon atmosphere or feeling, since its located inside the mall. However, you will get consistent results and the stylists are all extremely professional and willing to listen to you in order to get you exactly what you want. I am from LA and I was really wary of being able to find a stylist who could do my color like I used to get back home. I'm glad I found DP because I am quite happy with my color and highlights. I gave this salon and Jenn Kidd a second chance and i still am underwhelmed. it's time to move on, and so i did. The prices are a little high only because i didn't love my hair afterwords. I also received a message from someone trying to boss me into removing this review. Who it was from i don't know for sure but, i don't appreciate this attitude. Yelp is all about giving my experiences and they don't have to agree with everyone else's. I do think this salon has a chain atmosphere and environment, get'em in, get'em out. 7 locations is not a "few local stores". It is impossible to maintain a connection to your customer base and have consistency in customer service with this many locations and honestly...it shows. read more

(SUMMIT MALL LOCATION) I stopped by as a walk-in to have my hair colored (again) because I was in from out of town. Normally I go to Hair Play in San Francisco, but the colorist at Dino Palmieri was just as good. We talked for a little bit to decide what to do with my grown-out highlights and colors to match my complexion, then she worked her magic. In the end I got a bad ass color job that incorporated some of my natural color, some highlights and some new color. Staff is approachable and friendly. Salon is clean and well-maintained. This is the only hair salon (and stylist, Jenn Kidd) I have ever been faithful to! I have super long super thick hair and she does exactly what I want each time, she is the best hairstylist I have ever come across, in my life. The salon is small but cute and everyone there is super nice and accommodating... I've been going for about five years now and I won't ever let anyone else touch my hair besides her... It is a little pricey but you get what you pay for. I have referred at least five other, now regular, customers to her and constantly get compliments on my hair... Not sure what Tiffany ( above review) was talking about but I have nothing but the best things to say about Dino and Jenn and that goes for everyone I know who goes there as well... I came in for highlights but also didn't know if that would be my best option for covering grays and for overall easy maintenance... so I was open for other options. My stylist Brenda, had different ideas and options, she even showed me pictures of what she thought would look good on me... which was super helpful! She ended up doing balayage on my hair and I absolutely LOVE it! The cut and style is perfect too!!! Already have my next appointment booked with her:) So impressed with this salon! Without a doubt I can say I received the best dye job of my life here, and I've been getting my hair colored for about 14 years. Kellie gave me a color review to determine the best outcome for what I wanted and what I already had, was quick with the application, and was so pleasant to deal with. My hair color looks fantastic three months later (she promised a graceful fade and delivered) and I can't wait to go back. The price was pretty decent for a great hair color, and a few days later I received a gift card for my next visit anyway. read more

The salon is neat and clean. The staff are well-dressed and professional. There are nice touches everywhere like a receptionist who will take your coat and offer you water, coffee, and even wine. I don't feel like the stylist really listened to me and as a result I got a really bad cut here. I will not be back. I specifically said I didn't want it too short as my hair is thin and when it's too short you can see my scalp. I have hair on my head that is an inch long now! The back is crooked where she totally cut the fringe off and one side is shorter than the other. It is going to take months to get enough hair growth to fix this mess. I literally cried tears when I got home. Bad experience - don't go here. read more

I had the worst experience at this salon. My appointment took 3 hours for a cut/color and partial highlights. I'm trying to grow my hair long and I repeated to the stylist that I just wanted a trim. However, when he was done, my hair was completely chopped short in the back. It took me almost 7 months to grow out my hair and the stylist ruined all of my progress. On top of already having a bad experience, when I checked out I was told my bill for the services was $185.00. I was in complete shock and disbelief. I would never recommend this salon to anyone. The receptionist was very rude on top of everything. This was the most miserable experience I've ever had and I will never go back. read more

Jenn Kidd is a genius at understanding hair texture and what works for different hair. She is so good that in the six-plus years that she's been cutting my hair, I had to fly halfway around the world to see her for four years (no joke! but my family lives in Ohio, too). She remembers the subtleties of your hair and knows when your hair is changing or different. She also gives a haircut that manages to work/last for months on end, which is great for those of us who can't be bothered with regular haircuts. After trying hyped-up stylists in Cleveland, Columbus, Tel Aviv, and Amman, I will not let anyone else cut my hair. read more
