One of the top spots for me to carryout pizza. This spot is always consistent with well priced pizza, crispy crust, and plenty of cheese. The best reason to come here is for the special pizzas which are like an entree on a pizza like the Mexican Style Pizza and BBQ Beef pizza. The order is always ready on time and the pickup process is fast and easy.

We stopped at Dino's with my daughter's friends from play group. I hadn't heard of the place before and honestly was confused where I was until I left and got my bearings, but it's right on the edge of Norwood Park a few blocks from Harwood Heights. We came for the pizza, and it wasn't bad. We got a thin crust sausage, and the sausage was great. Thin crust isn't really my jam, though, and cracker crust especially. The crust was a little bland for my tastes in addition to being a cracker thin pizza. The place was really noisy, which was good in that our kids couldn't possibly bother anyone but bad because I could barely hear the woman sitting across from me when she talked, let alone a woman a couple seats down. Having to shout to be heard isn't really pleasant for me. But it was a busy night, being near the holidays, so maybe that's atypical? Then again, the room in which you enter is much smaller and quieter, so it may just be that it would have been loud regardless. Parking is practically nonexistent. There seems to be a small parking lot just west of the building, but it has maybe 10 parking spots. It also was a really tight lot; I drove through and there seemed to be just enough space to do that. On the side street to the east it's permit parking only so we almost had to skip joining the others but got lucky in finding a spot just before calling it quits.

Husband has been talking about this place for years; the night before we head back home he decided to bust a mission into the city to get his favorite pizza. He ordered a large Italian beef pizza and added bacon. It is the best thin crust pizza I have ever had! The crust was tender and not cracker-like or dry. The beef was sliced thin and in piles dotted under the cheese. It exceeded my expectations! We were literally the last customers in the place and they didn't rush us out. The restaurant is homey and reminiscent of the pizza joints from the 80s. Overall, I am very happy to have gotten to try a real Chicago pizza made with Lake Michigan water. The difference really is in the water! Pros: - quality - friendly - ambience and decor - street and lot parking - even the tap water is delicious Cons: - none really

I had to call in a pick up order since they don't do online orders. Can't be mad at that. Me like old school. I ordered a large sausage pizza. Everyone in my family loved the pizza from here. The crust was cooked perfectly, it had the perfect amount of cheese, the sauce tasted great and the sausage tasted amazing. A very perfect pizza and can't wait to come back.

Since it was just me, I decided to sit at the bar. The bartender was absolutely amazing! I mentioned I was staying at a hotel for the weekend, so not sure how I was gonna fit the pizza in the tiny hotel fridge and he packed up smaller boxes for whatever we don't eat at the hotel, foil, paper plates, napkins, Parmesan, oregano, red pepper flakes and even plastic ware! After the Bloody Mary, side salad and bread I ordered the pizza to go because I was too full to have any there. Tried it when I got back to the room and wow! Amazing! Will definitely be having more tonight and leftovers tomorrow. If you are looking for good pizza and service give them a try!

A nice little hole-in-the-wall pizzeria -- very clean and cozy. The food was flavorful and the service was good overall. We did have a small issue with the check, as the server accidentally overcharged us, but it was handled politely. Prices seem fair and reasonable, just be sure to ask for a detailed receipt when you visit.

Monday 01 Sept 2025, I was very surprised to find "Dino's Pizza" was open on this Labor Day holiday, but I'm glad it was open since I was dining all by myself and I was very hungry. I ordered the Veal Parmigiana dinner which came with soup and bread plus I also ordered a pepperoni, sausage and mushroom pizza, the food was just spectacular. My server was Zoe, I told her that I was severely hearing impaired and she was very helpful in assisting me with my order. She stopped by my table several times to see if I needed anything, she was very efficient. Great food, great service -An absolutely great dining experience on this holiday. Five stars...

First time, ordered carry out, pizza and salad, for our anniversary and we both said I think we found our new go to for pizza. Salad was just as great and fresh as the pizza too. My new favorite Italian salad.

How can I put it? This place is like I can't even say it it's like part of our family and We have been going here for years and years. we have so many wonderful family memories so many celebrations. Every time we have a big event be it birthdays and graduations though out generations. This is where we feel at home this place is just so welcoming warm the food is delicious. This place is just a piece of us and we as a family will never forget this place. It will always be a part of my family, this amazing place will hopefully impact our family for more generations to come. We love this place all of us. The service has always been amazing. I ordered food for takeout for a party this past weekend. I had spoken to Bruna to place my order 3 weeks prior. She made sure to call me a few days prior to confirm my order and time. My brother picked up the food at the agreed upon time and everything was fresh, packed well, and piping hot. I ordered a pizza, salad, chicken limone, mostaccioli with meat sauce, Italian sausage, meatballs, and garlic parsley potatoes. Everything was absolutely delicious and my guests complimented me on the food that was served. Dinos is usually my go to place to order pizza (bbq beef is my fave) and now it will become my go to catering place. Thank you Dinos for providing delicious food for my party. read more

Business lunch with my co-worker Gary from Columbus OH pictures here with Paula our waitress with the best one liners & great service! Gary insists we visit @ Dino's Pizza 7004 W Higgins Ave., Chicago IL. Every time he is in town! Don't just come for the pizza the gnocchi with meat sauce aka Sugu reminds me of my moms. Pizza was good, but when I mentioned to the waitress that the bread was soggy on the Italian sausage sandwich. her answer was, I don't know, she seem visibly upset with me, left her 20% tip she still snubbed me. read more

Our server, Paula, was one of the BEST servers we've ever had! Attentive and super funny! Fantastic personality. Have had Dino's pizza several times in the past and have always loved their pizza, but something was amiss this time...the sauce was bland. Did it need more salt? Oregano? Can't put my finger on it..It was missing the delicious flavor that Dino's pizza is known for. Please fix this! read more

I had a bad experience my last time out. To my surprise, the owner promptly contacted me to apologize for the inconvenience. It really meant a lot to me and it spoke volumes to how much they care about the customer experience. You really don't get that level of care from businesses these days. Highly recommend Dino's, especially the stuffed pizza. read more

Our family has been patronizing Dinos for over 40 years and their food quality hasn't changed. It's still fabulous. We use their party room for baby and wedding showers, graduations and birthdays. Bruno and Bianca have carried on their family traditions by continuing to prepare the recipes passed down to them through generations. The waitstaff is always quick to meet your needs and your food is always delivered hot. read more

I showed up on time for my pickup, had to wait 15 minutes and somehow still left with a lukewarm pizza. I used to be a regular but stopped because of this. Was hoping it had changed. I ordered a pizza with Italian beef on it and the beef looked like they forgot to put it on the pizza so it was thrown on top. It was very dry, to say the least. Disappointed. The half of the pizza that was cheese was good. read more

This is my grandparents favorite restaurant since they were kids and we decided to go there with them after my sisters dance recital. We were welcomed and we were seated quickly and they got us water. We waited and we got the wonderful bread, salad, soup and more. Later, we got the main course and we loved it. We got so much good food The only bad thing was that there was a party and we couldn't sit in the spot we wanted too and the service was kinda slow, kinda like my sister trying to catch the bus for school. The restaurant was amazing and I would definitely come back for more amazing food. read more

Dino's is a long time neighborhood place. The thin crust pizza is very good. The fried zucchini and mushrooms are the best we've had- fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, the rest of the menu is dated. The pasta dishes are bland, uninspired and overcooked. The soups are equally bland. They are still using iceberg lettuce in many of their salads. Clearly their regulars love it...we just order the pizza. read more

This is a throwback spot as someone mentioned with outstanding pizza and service. The sausage is very juicy, not dry bits, I love the cheese amount, not overkill... I think some people think tons of cheese makes a pizza. The cheese isn't the feature, it's the flavor and the sauce. Try it for youself and be the judge, mostly try the rest of the menu, all legit and super good! read more

I go to Dinos frequently and love their pizza. I am writing because I am very concerned that they are not following CDC guidelines for the prevention of spreading Covid. While waiting for my pizza, I looked up and noticed a man and woman in the kitchen cooking the food for the entire restaurant. NEITHER WERE WEARING MASKS! Actually, to be accurate, they were wearing masks on their chins. I believe they are the owners (although I am not sure about that). I went to take a photo, but as I was taking the photo, pizza boxes were placed in view of the kitchen. You can see the gentleman to the right of the boxes with his mask on his chin. A waitress saw me with my phone up taking a picture and quickly went over and told them to mask up. The gentleman got very upset but did put the mask on. Now, I understand that it must get hot in a kitchen with a mask on your face, however, we are in a pandemic! Please, please, please wear a mask! I also must note that all the wait staff were wearing masks but the people cooking the food were not. read more

Delicious. That's all you have to know. Old school family joint serving traditional Italian food. Bring your appetite as the portions are HUGE! Ordered a meatball sandwich for lunch and could only eat 1/2 it was that big. Grab a cup of minestrone soup and salad and that will keep you fueled for a day. Server, cook and entire staff are friendly and very attentive. One of the little things that always gets me is their fresh brewed iced tea and coffee. Always fresh and never over priced. It's really the little things that keep me coming back. Great pizza too! Typically get take out but dining in is always great. Would highly recommended as I have been coming here for years. Dinos has been a staple in the area for over 30 years. Very good pizza. We like ours extra thin and crispy. They nail it everytime! The restaurant itself has a flair of family and that good ole fashioned feeling of being a part of it all. Can get rather busy around dinner time. They have a nice little bar and in the summer a beautiful patio. read more

I had eggplant Parmesan ant the eggplant wasn't mushy or watery. And there was lots of cheese. But I couldn't taste any herbs, so,it was bland.mi couldn't taste any garlic, basil, oregano or thyme. My friend had a pizza and it looked pretty good. Next time I'll try that. read more

We happened to be in the area catching a movie and the kid behind the counter at the theater recommended we go to Dino's. So glad we did! We sat at the bar as opposed to the restaurant. We like to connect with the locals who typically sit at the bar. The bartender was very personable and attentive! The pizza and salad were both delicious! We loved the atmosphere here! Very chill place with great food! Can't wait to come back! read more

Usually this place js awesome. Last night I went back again after a few months Ask for Anna. She will take great care of you. The men who bus the tables are sweet and are very focused on an excellent customer experience. Bravo to the cooks. Order a side of Italian sausage. Some of the best. The lady who is the owner manager is one of the best people on the planet. I don't know her personally yet she really cares about having a fabulous restaurant experience. read more

I moved back in this area and decided to try this place again. Meh... Why does everything have to be so messy? I got the deep dish and it was so messy there was too much cheese and too much sauce and it was spilling out all over and was smashed. It tasted just ok. Also got the combo sandwich and it was extremely messy too. Marinara sauce was poured all over it and it was so soggy and just fell apart. I didn't even think it would come with marinara sauce like that on a combo... ugh. So disappointing and it was expensive too. What the heck why is it so hard to make a pizza. A frozen ginos east deep dish pizza is better than this and affordable. Even little cesars is better. read more

Admittedly a good deal of nostalgia in this review, since it was my childhood introduction to pizza back when Frank's was the mom'n'pop across Higgins. Had roughly comparable square cut pizza on the south side which were very good, but which always seemed over-salty. Have not yet tried the deep dish, but the skill mix in this kitchen makes it my first priority the next time I fly into Ohare. I seriously love these wonderful people for the distant memories I share with long dead parents back on Farragut - you were always, and always will remain, a hard act to follow. read more

highlights: meatballs! garlic cheesy bread! the lightning fast ukrainian waitress! the thin crust pizza with garlic and sausage! the cheese they use on thier pizza is perfect blend of a few types of yummy italian cheeses. other things to know: if you have a chance to sit outside, do so. it's a nice chill atmosphere. also, this place is kind of a throwback to the mid 1970 chicago. don't judge it, just roll with it. the meatballs are worth hearing classic rock coming from the kitchen. i recommend this place. read more

The pizza was "thin" just the way I like it 3. Tasted delicous and what I would call good "thin crust" Cons 1. A little pricey, with tip it cost me around $23 2.
