Not terrible. We went about 4 years ago when it was a drive thru event with lifesize dinosaurs and activities at the end, and that was better. Ours is at a currently unused fairgrounds, and I felt that they could have covered the permanent exhibits with green tarps or something. This is the biggest ripoff I think I've ever forked over money for. The look on everybody's faces says it all - it's obvious we all got scammed, and I left after 15 minutes just feeling sorry for everyone there. The icing on top of the cake was not even being able to do many of the activities because they required 4-5 "activity tickets" that sold for $5 PER TICKET. Ridiculous. Looked the event up on yelp, saw the 1 star, and regretted not looking at reviews before I went. Trust me, avoid this. read more

This is my problem... the marketing person for this company is a GENIUS because they advertise it like it's damn Jurassic Park or something super cool. This is a scam business. I paid $200 Canadian including parking to bring 1 child. It was a big empty room with less than 15 dinosaurs. A few of them move their arms a tiny bit every 5 minutes. Many of the dinosaurs had big holes in them. They had some bouncy castles also which are not at all worth 200. They promised a meet and greet with a baby dino who wasn't there. This is why this company only stays in each city for 2 days and bails fast....because people find out fast how bad it is and they wouldn't survive any longer in 1 spot. read more

My goodness... I can't believe we paid $79 for this crap. Not only that, we spent an entire afternoon waiting in line for this (4 hours in & out) and had to brave the nasty Porta-Potties. Precious time we will never get back! I wish I read the reviews before caving in to my child's desire to experience Dinosaur Adventure Bay Area Drive-Thru. It is nothing like what is shown in the commercials or even on their website. In fact, the dinosaurs at Lost Worlds Adventures (in Livermore) looked more realistic. Most of the displays were unimpressive although a few of the larger dinosaurs like the T-Rex were somewhat interesting. Our main complaint is the sloppiness of the event organizer. Not only was the audio tour completely incorrect (the recording states that it is for the Seattle Audio Tour), most scenes were completely unrealistic with bright orange cones showing in the display. In addition, many of the dinosaurs were not labeled and we had to take a guess what they were. This production group is extremely lazy and incompetent. Do not recommend! read more

Tickets were from 3-5pm entry. Got here at 3:40pm. Still sitting in the main lot waiting for entry at 4:59pm. I'm beginning to loose patience. I'm irritated. Thinking about letting my $110 go to waste and leaving. Update, it's 5:15pm. We have just received out fun pack. Now we are waiting for entry to see the dinosaurs. 5:32pm. Now Entering the exibit. FINALLY. The experience was about 25 minutes. I'll admit, the dinosaurs were nice. They moved and made sounds. I was initially concerned about how well the dinosaurs would be lit up at night, that's y i choose the earlier time slot. It was in vain because it ended up being dark by the time we entered. Fortunately, It wasn't a problem, everything was lit up well. When we entered, i was feeling frustrated and antsy, but when it ended, i felt satisfied. It was $69 for entry and you can have up to 6 ppl per vehicle. Pushing the ridiculously long wait to the side, i do believe the exibit is over priced. I would pay $50 max, but i think it's worth closer to $40 a vehicle. I DO recommend purchasing the fun pack. It comes with a backpack, t-shirt, cotton candy and a few toys. I didn't have too much contact with the staff, but the limited contact i did have was pleasant. Good enough to mention. read more

I paid for the upgraded VIP package and at no point during the day was I separated or asked about my VIP status. anyone who purchased a ticket could do the exact same thing as my VIP ticket. I can't even explain how poorly ran this recent was also. it was extremely hot yes they had fans but still. for the amount of money. do better. They were not polite. I do not recommend this to anyone. I am currently in the process of trying to get at least some of my money back. I would hope that after seeing this review and other disappointing reviews, they would do the right thing and give me a full refund. I am absolutely disappointed and frustrated. Took my 6.5 y/o daughter yesterday, 2/15/25 and she did enjoy it, but I would not go again. It was not worth the price. You also have to pay $15 for parking. The exhibit lets you go in and out throughout the day of your ticket but if you leave the fair grounds and want to re-enter you will have to pay again for parking which is ridiculous. Also there should be a minimum age/height requirement for riding the mini ATV like dinosaurs. They were allowing 2 y/o and younger ride and they do not know how to maneuver the atv that they were crashing into things preventing others to ride freely. They crashed into my daughter and after that she no longer wanted to ride. This can be a very dangerous situation and should be re-evaluated by Dinosaur Adventure staff. read more

I was pretty disappointed with this considering we spent over $120 for just me and my two kids. The dinosaur exhibit was small and only lasted about 10 minutes. There were no small Dino puppets to interact with. The other part of the experience was a few bounce houses set up and some small rides. There was a long line for the riding dinosaur ride, and only two rides were going at one time. The rest of the exhibit had to be paid for by buying tokens. We already spent so much going in, but they expected us to pay more to experience the rest. They also sold overpriced toys in the gift shop, so we spent even more money. read more

It rejected because it says this time slot was not available. But, it allowed me to book this same time and same drive thru option if i purchased the packaged (at more than double the price) that included cheap tee shirts, and 2 crappie toys. When we went into the event, the radio tour option was faulty and kept going back to the beginning everytime we paused it between displays. Then, the "Dinosaurs" were all half broken (i.e. animation not working), and even the pieces weren't all connected. We even saw some stitched together with lawn staples (not sure what to call them). Please, I beg you, do not take your family to this. We spent $135 for four of us. We didn't see the long lines that others talk about, but that was the only good part. It's very dark inside, you can't read anything, a lot of the dinosaurs animatronics don't move. The animatronic dinosaurs also look like they have been packed poorly because there will be been tails, bent horns, etc. Once you get through the dinosaurs, you go into a huge gift shop area. After that, there are bounce houses and face painting and digging for dinosaur bones. All of these are an extra expense. We were there a total of about 25 minutes and I don't recall ever feeling so ripped off in my entire life. read more

This 'adventure' was a tale of two experiences. Before the adventure mood (1 star): wtf We paid $130 for the privilege of driving an hour to get there and waiting in line for two more hours with people hawking ridiculously overpriced food and drinks to the suckers aka sitting ducks aka us stuck in this parking lot. Like cmon people, be respectful of peoples time and don't sell so many tickets so it is not a miserable experience for everyone. The adventure itself mood (4 stars): lots of exhibits and pretty cool. Dinosaur lovers (aka kiddos) will love it. As a the adult I thought it was unique, a good safe COVID-19 activity. Overall I'll give it 2.5 star (generously rounding up to 3 stars). It is really overpriced and badly organized from the start as people are left stuck in their cars with no explanation or even general idea how long it will take to get in and see it. Fix that and lower the price and then I'd recommend it. read more

Okay, I'm sitting in line. I'm the fifth row so about 75 cars in SMH. It is Saturday around noon and none of the lines appear to be moving. No employees around to provide any information/ update. I've got two small kids and the 4 month old is sleeping (for now...). Literally, no cars moving. I see parents getting out and tending to their children. So far, regret is popping in. When the kids start getting impatient and screaming .... we are screwed. To be continued.... Go ahead and listen to that audio thing while you are in line. It's about 3 minutes of safety. It'll prompt you to stop until the first tour. Alright. It's 12:20. Looks like it takes around 20 minutes to clear one row. At this rate, I'm looking at an hour and twenty minute wait. Alright. The next line cleared in 7 minutes. I'm the second row now. Regret is fading. Getting excited for the youngsters. Okay. The two year old is awake singing baby shark. It's a matter of time before the four month old awakes with his thunderous cries. Pray for us..... 1230. Row next to me moving. Bad news. I just realized we are moving from one line just to get into another one. That's just psychologically demoralizing. I feel bad for the three row of cars waiting after me. Fortunately, we have brought plenty of snacks and toys. So far, we are winning in the parents category. 12:43, we are moving. Still surviving. In the second line now. The second line is three rows that merges into one. Be nice. One per cast line. Don't be that guy. Regret level still low. Tour started at 1250. Ended at 1:35PM. It was worth every penny for our baby girl. I definitely recommend this to any one with small kids. Side note. All the exhibits are on the drivers side. We decided that we would take the kids to the Dinosaur Adventure at the Altamont Fairgrounds in NY State. I expected it to be a great time for the kids and an interactive journey through time. What we were provided however was a lack of decorations, dinosaurs that didn't move or dinosaurs with metal rods sticking out from the top of them. More than half of the dinosaurs appeared to be broken as there was no movement and many of them looked like they were falling apart at the joints. Each scene only had one or two small plants sitting next to the dinosaurs so you lost the ambiance of being in a dinosaur adventure but rather much like you were driving through the fairgrounds. We started the audio tour on our phone only to be kicked out of it mid way through and since we didn't pay attention to the timestamp we had no idea where to continue from so the last half of the drive through we had no audio tour or explanation of what the dinosaurs were. I am extremely let down especially after our 5 year old randomly stated "They don't take care of their dinosaurs". I am happy that we choose to go mid-week so that we paid $50 instead of the $80-$120 they are charging for weekend slots. This is something that we would NEVER return to, it's quite sad that it was in the shape it was since they were getting $50 per car and there were well over 100 cars going through while we went through, I am sure they had over 500 cars go through on opening day. There was no one around to ask questions and if you needed to have any type of assistance (medical or otherwise) someone would have had to run the the front gate to alert the ticket person as that was the only person I saw through the entire experience. If there was a way I would be requesting a refund for this because it was entirely a waste of time and experienced nothing more than a few moving dinosaurs with piss poor audio, I mean most of them sounded like a long burp rather than dinosaurs roaring. My advice to anyone reading this is to save your money as you will be EXTREMELY disappointed if your experience is anything like ours was. read more

I'm so disappointed in this event because one, it was so expensive and two my 3 year old. nephew, 2 year old niece and 18 month old daughter had nothing to do there. they had one toddler jumper and my niece went inside and got trampled over and scratched by bigger kids. There was no one monitoring the attraction at all to keep the bigger kids out. I spoke to a worker and he said he would figure it out but no one fixed the problem and I ended up leaving. I can't allow my toddlers to jump in a jumper with gigantic kids and I can't be in there with them. Although the dinosaurs looked really cool it was a COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY. Original Post: I recently had the unfortunate opportunity to attend the Dinosaur Adventure, and I must say it was an incredibly poorly run event. From start to finish, it was a letdown that failed to live up to its advertised promises. I feel compelled to share my experience to warn others of what they might expect. First and foremost, the advertisement for the event showcased small Jurassic Park jeeps for kids to ride in. However, much to our disappointment, this feature was nowhere to be found. The absence of the promised attraction was a major disappointment, especially for young children who had eagerly anticipated the chance to ride in their own dinosaur-themed vehicles. Another glaring discrepancy was the absence of baby dinosaurs being walked around for children to interact with, as clearly shown in the advertisement. This was a major letdown, as the opportunity to see and touch these adorable creatures was one of the main reasons we decided to attend the event. The lack of such an advertised feature left both children and parents feeling cheated and misled. Furthermore, the advertisement depicted costumed dinosaur characters engaging with kids, particularly showing a raptor-costumed person roaming around. However, to our dismay, there were no such costumed dinosaurs present at the event. This further highlighted the false advertising and reinforced the sense of disappointment and deception. However, what truly took the cake for us was the additional cost we paid for our child to participate in the mining activity. We were promised an engaging experience where our child could mine for rocks. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we discovered that the mining activity was not set up as advertised. The individual in charge nonchalantly dismissed our concerns and suggested that our child could simply grab a rock from one of the boxes. We had paid over $20 for this experience, only to have our child handed a random rock without any opportunity to mine it themselves. It was a blatant disregard for what was promised and a clear waste of our money. The only positive aspect of the entire event was the gentlemen running the bouncy houses. They were pleasant, sweet, and made an effort to ensure the children had a good time. However, their presence alone couldn't salvage the disappointment caused by the numerous shortcomings and false advertisements throughout the event. In conclusion, the Dinosaur Adventure was a poorly run event that failed to deliver on its promises. The absence of advertised features, including the small Jurassic Park jeeps, walking baby dinosaurs, and costumed dinosaur characters, left attendees feeling deceived and unsatisfied. The additional cost for the mining activity was nothing short of a rip-off, as our child was handed a pre-selected rock without any opportunity to participate. If the organizers wish to regain trust and credibility, they must remove misleading elements from their advertisements and ensure that what they offer aligns with what attendees actually experience. Awful. We waited over an hour to get in to this stupid thing and it's just a bunch of broken down, discarded traveling museum junk thrown around in one of your town's large parking lots. Most of this stuff doesn't even work or isn't hooked up to power, so you drive by a disintegrating, absolutely still dinosaur model standing in a patch of the cheapest fake plants imaginable while a little speaker plays a loop of roaring sounds. Hilariously underwhelming. We were promised animatronics and baby dinosaurs that would come to the car and make it a neat experience, but what we got was a guy driving around in a golf cart with an unmanned velociraptor puppet wearing a traffic cone on its head asking every couple of cars if they were doing alright. Honestly I'd be so embarrassed to be associated with this scam. It's super expensive, and they charge the adults to just stand there. All the dinosaurs are worn and breaking. The "mini golf" is actually an inflatable, it's in no way mini golf. The dinosaur rides are literally being held together by duct tape. It's sad, soulless, grey and embarrassing. On top of $25 per adult and $35 per kid to get in, they then have the audacity to charge $15-$25 extra dollars to use the mine, another $15-$25 to get your face painted, and ANOTHER $20 for panning rocks. Disappointed production-wise for $70 per car. You drive around in a big circle with little clusters of dinosaur animatronics that were pretty shabby looking - torn, misaligned, some non-functioning. The dinosaurs were not life sized (as they were advertised to be) as we had the audio tour going and the measurements they were giving were definitely off. The dinosaurs weren't even situated in order to sync with the audio. Based on the ads I thought we would be driving through dinosaur scenes recreated with their natural habits. Even My three year old thought it was crap, and she gets excited about anything First off in New Orleans the exhibits were just put up in this parking lot at a convention center, many dinosaurs were broken, the staff were just a skeleton crew so people were letting their kids out of the cars to take selfies in front of the dinosaurs holding up the line with impunity. We paid $150 for the family adventure pack, to include 2 backpacks filled with toys. We showed up at our time slot and waited over an hour to drive through the entrance. Another 1/2 hour to get our merch. The backpacks were a cheap drawstring bag. And I would estimate bag and toys maybe worth $20? $30 if you're being really generous about the t-shirt they include. The dinos. Meh. You basically drive around an area about 2 city blocks big and see about 15 clusters of dinos. Some are really nice. Some weren't working. Some were like empty eggs for kids to do photo-ops in, which have no value in a drive through experience. They oversold tickets so it was all so slow. I would say were were there for well over two hours for what would reasonably have been about 1/2 hour slow drive past about 15 clusters of dinos. We felt ripped off. read more

Edit: Got in after waiting 1.5 hrs. It was Thanksgiving so maybe more crowded than usual. The dinosaurs are pretty good for 2-4 year olds. My kids were entertained. The website said the experience was 30-40min long. We drove an hour to get to the fairgrounds. They waved us into a parking lot with hundreds of cars. Then nothing. No indication of how long we would wait. After an HOUR a greeter came to scan our ticket. He said the wait would be an additional 45 minutes! His advice was to post about this treatment on Facebook because its a scam. Theyre overbooking like crazy. We had a two year old with us. We couldn't wait longer so we left but from the pictures Ive seen I think we didnt miss much but our kid was disappointed. read more
