Brachiosaurus (but according to the incorrect audio tour, this was a Coelophysis)

My goodness... I can't believe we paid $79 for this crap. Not only that, we spent an entire afternoon waiting in line for this (4 hours in & out) and had to brave the nasty Porta-Potties. Precious time we will never get back! I wish I read the reviews before caving in to my child's desire to experience Dinosaur Adventure Bay Area Drive-Thru. It is nothing like what is shown in the commercials or even on their website. In fact, the dinosaurs at Lost Worlds Adventures (in Livermore) looked more realistic. Most of the displays were unimpressive although a few of the larger dinosaurs like the T-Rex were somewhat interesting. Our main complaint is the sloppiness of the event organizer. Not only was the audio tour completely incorrect (the recording states that it is for the Seattle Audio Tour), most scenes were completely unrealistic with bright orange cones showing in the display. In addition, many of the dinosaurs were not labeled and we had to take a guess what they were. This production group is extremely lazy and incompetent. Do not recommend!

Tickets were from 3-5pm entry. Got here at 3:40pm. Still sitting in the main lot waiting for entry at 4:59pm. I'm beginning to loose patience. I'm irritated. Thinking about letting my $110 go to waste and leaving. Update, it's 5:15pm. We have just received out fun pack. Now we are waiting for entry to see the dinosaurs. 5:32pm. Now Entering the exibit. FINALLY. The experience was about 25 minutes. I'll admit, the dinosaurs were nice. They moved and made sounds. I was initially concerned about how well the dinosaurs would be lit up at night, that's y i choose the earlier time slot. It was in vain because it ended up being dark by the time we entered. Fortunately, It wasn't a problem, everything was lit up well. When we entered, i was feeling frustrated and antsy, but when it ended, i felt satisfied. It was $69 for entry and you can have up to 6 ppl per vehicle. Pushing the ridiculously long wait to the side, i do believe the exibit is over priced. I would pay $50 max, but i think it's worth closer to $40 a vehicle. I DO recommend purchasing the fun pack. It comes with a backpack, t-shirt, cotton candy and a few toys. I didn't have too much contact with the staff, but the limited contact i did have was pleasant. Good enough to mention.

Nice cracked in uneven floors for my special needs daughter to fall over.

I absolutely recommend this to no one. This was absolutely the worst event I've been to with my daughter. I paid for the upgraded VIP package and at no point during the day was I separated or asked about my VIP status. anyone who purchased a ticket could do the exact same thing as my VIP ticket. I can't even explain how poorly ran this recent was also. it was extremely hot yes they had fans but still. for the amount of money. do better. They were not polite. I do not recommend this to anyone. I am currently in the process of trying to get at least some of my money back. I would hope that after seeing this review and other disappointing reviews, they would do the right thing and give me a full refund. I am absolutely disappointed and frustrated. I took a picture with my daughter in front of a green screen that I paid extra money for after paying extra money for my VIP ticket that was 12 hours ago , and I still haven't received that picture. Do yourself a favor avoid these people and this event.

Over charged for the experience. Charges for credit card even when you pay cash. Not worth $35. per person.

Avery's birthday at Discovery Kingdom was an absolute blast!…read more We spent a good six hours at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom for Avery's birthday, and this was honestly such a fun first big amusement-park experience for our family. Avery had an absolute blast from the moment we got there until it was time to leave. The Looney Tunes characters were probably the biggest highlight for him because Looney Tunes is his favorite, and Wile E. Coyote is his absolute favorite character. We happened to catch Wile E. while he was closing down his picture area, but he still stopped to say hi to Avery. When Avery told him it was his birthday, Wile E. actually stopped what he was doing and brought him back over to the picture area so they could take a photo together. That was such a sweet little moment, especially because he didn't have to do that. We also caught the 3:30 Looney Tunes dance show, although we got there a little late and couldn't get seats because we were on the other side of the park. Avery didn't care -- he was out there dancing like he was part of the cast. One of the service team members noticed how much he was dancing and told me that if we came back around 4:15 for the 4:30 show, Avery might have a chance to get picked to go onstage for his birthday. And IT WORKED. Avery got picked to go onstage! He wanted to be on Team Bugs because Bugs had won the previous dance show, but he ended up on Team Daffy instead... and Team Daffy WON! He was so proud of himself and had the absolute time of his life. Watching him have that much fun on his birthday was easily one of my favorite parts of the entire day. We rode basically every ride Avery was tall enough and comfortable enough to ride, explored the butterfly garden, saw the lions and giraffes, watched the shows, ate pizza and breadsticks with our food pass, grabbed drinks, and still managed to squeeze in more rides afterward. There is definitely plenty to do here even if you're not spending the entire day on roller coasters. One warning, though: the Road Runner roller coaster is INTENSE. That thing has some serious whipping and an extremely abrupt stop. I would definitely prepare yourself for some unexpected movement because it is much more aggressive than I expected. Even some of the smaller kids might find it intimidating just because of how fast it moves. Know what you're getting yourself into before you climb on that one! Also, prepare to get your steps in. This park is big, and we walked A LOT. But honestly, that's part of the experience. There was always something else to go see, another character to find, another show to catch, or another ride to get on. For a first amusement park experience with our kids, I honestly couldn't have asked for a better day. Avery got to meet his favorite Looney Tunes character, dance onstage on his birthday, win a dance competition, see animals, explore the park, eat good food, and ride a bunch of rides. Everybody had fun, and it was absolutely worth the money we spent. This was our family's first real theme-park adventure, and it definitely opened the door for us to start checking out other parks too. Great America and the other California amusement parks are definitely going on the list, but Discovery Kingdom was a pretty damn good place to start. Six hours later, exhausted, stuffed, and with a very happy birthday boy? I'd call that a successful day.

Took my daughter's hat and pretended to wear it. Made for a fantastic moment. There was also a friendly guy who was observing the kids' rides (safety checks?) in Looney Tunes area. Now the not so good - Be aware: the entertainment division changed the Looney Tunes show (Tunetastic). It's AWFUL now. Think Mean Girls energy. Lots of DRAMA that is completely unnecessary for a children's audience. Way too LOUD. And they don't let children come anywhere near the stage to meet the characters like they used to. It used to be a fun, interactive, and inclusive DANCE PARTY FOR KIDS. We didn't see any Halloween themed stuff this year. Did it get canceled? More positive highlights - feeding the giraffes, a great value for just $10. Get there early! We also enjoyed the Wildlife Experience show - we saw a diverse array of animals. Overall, it was a fun experience for our group, although some experiences were closed (adventure zone and one of the restaurants). We still had a good time!

At $80 per child for the most basic package on a weekend I expected a higher level of service. Throughout the party, I had to ask for everything. I had to request water pitchers, ask for a candle and lighter, and no one offered to help cut the cake. The staff didn't offer much help coordinating the event. I've had parties at Pump It Up, where the staff was much more attentive and proactive. I also had an unpleasant interaction with an employee (Scott?). The employee's old white car was parked in front of the facility, with its windows completely down and a cracked windshield, and its alarm went off. The employee came outside, WALKED ON THE HOOD OF HIS CAR to turn off the alarm, and then accused me of hitting his car. My husband and the five children in my car all confirmed that I didn't. After confronting me in the parking lot, he walked back into K1 while I followed behind. I found it very inappropriate for an employee to yell at a customer, especially as they were entering the business. The kids enjoyed themselves, but the overall customer service was not up to my expectations. When I book a party I like to be stress free, otherwise I would just host a party at my own house.

Now, during specific months during the year, they host senior safari where seniors can visit for free and participate in organized activities and visit sponsors for literature and their goodies. I have been attending the safaris for a while and was disappointed this past month. I do appreciate the opportunity for a free visit but would like to see different sponsors and maybe have them stay a bit longer. For the safari this past month I arrived at 9:20 (20 mins after opening) and half of the sponsors were packing up because they ran out of freebies and literature. The biggest disappointment was Danny the dragon along with the carrousel were non-op. Regardless, the main purpose of senior safari is encourage movement and 10,000 steps. The entire birthday party process was seamless from beginning to end. They provide a designated party area, you can order food directly through them, and their team brings everything out, sets things up, and handles the cleanup afterward. As a parent hosting a kids' birthday party, having so much taken care of for you makes a HUGE difference. I also felt the pricing was very reasonable for everything that was included. We added Danny the Dragon as our entertainment, and my son LOVED it! Danny interacted with the kids, played games with them, and made the celebration feel extra special. There was so much for the kids to do between the birthday activities, rides, playgrounds, and animals. My only regret was choosing the 1:30 PM party time instead of the earlier 10:30 AM option. If I could do it again, I would absolutely choose the morning time and make a full day of it. There is simply too much to see and do! Between enjoying the party itself, riding the rides, and seeing all of the animals, we ran out of time and didn't get to experience everything. We'll definitely be going back to finish what we missed! 100% recommend Happy Hollow for a child's birthday party. It was fun for the kids, easy for the adults, reasonably priced, and incredibly well organized. Such a wonderful place to celebrate a little one!
