This has become one of our favorite spots to take the kids! We show up right at opening on a weekday means we usually have the entire track to ourselves. My two kids love racing each other lap after lap, and the staff are always friendly and helpful getting them set up. It's a great mix of fun and a little friendly competition. If you want to avoid crowds and long waits, opening time on weekdays is the way to go!

Great place for a birthday party! My son celebrated his 18th birthday at K1 with a group of boys and everyone had fun. Booking was simple and their group was taken care of. I booked the two race package and the boys liked seeing the stats from each race on the printout. Their group was the only one racing on the track and it was run smoothly and safely.

I highly recommend this place when you get a chance to get together with friends and family staff here is welcoming. Environment is friendly. Try it out for yourself.

Credit card authorization form to reserve the race date for large party. Offer to pay Cash- was told "No cash option" when asked

I had email conversation with Denlison from Corp group sales located in Irvin about booking a group session. She sent me a form with a notation on bottom of form "3.45% processing fee will apply for all non-cash payment". I responded back to see if I can pay with another form of payment without charges such as Cash, Zelle, check, venmo. answer was "no other form of payment was accepted". I responded to email to let Denlison know California businesses cannot legally charge a credit card convenience fee if they don't offer an alternative payment method. Since California's Senate Bill 478 took effect on July 1, 2024, it is illegal for businesses to apply surcharges or convenience fees. I sent the email to them over a week ago and I still didn't get a response. Their response so far is to ignore the email. I will take my business elsewhere. Considering to report them given that they do not follow legal business practices.

We had a great time here! We booked as a group and got to race three times. The place itself was very clean and immersive--all the decor is racing related and you can have an easy view of the track. Our stats were printed and given to each of us promptly after each race! There is a super cute ceremony setup where you get to stand on a platform for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. They give you pretty solid painted trophies as well. We had food as part of our party and it was pretty good as well. Overall we were very pleased with our experience! We had never been anywhere quite like this, so it was a fun new experience for us all.

First time here let me tell you it was so much fun $52 per person per ride which is like 7 laps Worth it. We had to wait 1 hour for the next availability. They have food and arcades . I will definitely return again. Good times with my family

I took my son and his friend here a few weeks ago on a Friday early evening. We were so lucky as hardly anyone was there yet and the blue lights had just turned on! I bought the 5 laps package and the kids had a great time racing around. Meanwhile, my friend and I had a drink and played Jenga while waiting. This place is clean and if I lived near it, I would go often. It looks great for parties and company events. There's not a ton for teens to do in the area besides shop so this is a fun activity when you want to be inside. Highly recommend it for older teens and adults. I think younger kids would be an exception as it's a shorter activity and there's a skill level needed to have fun. I'm pointing that out only because when my kids were younger and attended a party, it was confusing for them and now I see why, but only because they are now older. Just keep expectations in mind when taking younger people there.

How fast do the kids go karts go and will they be racing against adults? Wondering if this would be fun or scary for four 8 year olds (they are all tall enough) who have never driven go karts before.

Hi Julia, the kids karts max out around 20 m.p.h. and the kids have separate races from adults for safety since our adult karts go much faster. Indoor karting at K1 is a perfect introduction to go karts for kids. Looking forward to seeing the group… Read more

Hello, Bhavna! All of our karts are single-seaters, so adults can't drive with children in the same kart. However, based on your son's height, he should be able to race our Junior Karts, which requires a minimum height of 48". See you at the track!

My daughter wants to go with her 12 year old friends do they need an adult to go with them?

Hello Kamryn! Yes, we'll need at least one adult to be with them, especially since waivers will need to be signed by a parent/guardian. Hope we'll see you all soon!

Hello! We have a minimum height requirement of 48" for the Junior Karts, and 58" for our Adult Karts. See you at the track!

Are the go kart seats adjustable for taller/bigger sizes?

Hello, Ashley! The seats are not adjustable to make them larger (we have booster seats for smaller drivers), but we've had many NFL players drive our karts before. Also one of our employees here is 6'2" and over 235lbs and he fits in the kart just… Read more

There's various picnic areas throughout the park, and we were placed in the picnic area across from the playground. The picnic area had about four picnic tables and garbage bins. The group we had were kindergarten, first, and second graders and kiddie swings and granny bugs were not appealing to the age group of campers. The kiddie roller coaster was a hit. Overall, a fun experience that the children enjoyed. Maybe more bathrooms to accommodate the large summer camp groups and a few updated rides to cater to the older children.

Visited on July 3, 2026. We visited Gilroy Gardens after spending quite a bit of time researching…read morethe park and reading about its accessibility accommodations. Based on what was advertised, we expected a welcoming, family-friendly experience. Unfortunately, that wasn't what we encountered. The issues started before we even entered the park. After paying for parking, we were directed to a distant lot and faced a long walk to the entrance. Despite large crowds, there didn't seem to be any staff available to answer questions or help direct guests. We had purchased tickets online ahead of time to make entry easier, but ended up standing in one very long line where many guests were confused about whether it was for prepaid tickets, security, or both. It eventually became clear that everyone was funneled through the same process. The lack of organization made for a frustrating start to the day. The security screening also seemed inconsistent. Some guests were told to throw away drinks, while others brought in large meals and glass containers without issue. Clear and consistent policies would go a long way toward reducing confusion. Once inside, we stopped at the Welcome Center to inquire about accessibility accommodations. The process was surprisingly minimal. We were handed a paper pass and told to take it to each attraction. Based on the information on the website, we expected a more thoughtful and supportive system. At our first ride, we were given a return time and told that if we were more than 15 minutes late, the accommodation would no longer apply. That policy felt unnecessarily rigid. When we returned at the designated time, we were directed to wait at the exit gate in a crowded area where guests were constantly passing by. After everyone else boarded, staff seemed confused about our return time and had to figure out where to place us. One of the most disappointing moments involved a mobility device that staff would not recognize as an approved accessibility aid. Despite explaining its purpose, we were told only traditional wheelchairs qualified. The interaction felt inflexible and lacking in understanding, and it significantly impacted the rest of our visit. Later, we headed to Water Oasis and struggled to find a family restroom or accessible changing area. Restroom lines were extremely long, and the area itself felt overcrowded and poorly managed. There was very little staff presence, nowhere quiet to sit, and no one available when guests were cutting lines or creating issues. There was no space for my child to play and no occupancy limit of any sign. Not fun or safe for anyone. After less than two hours, we decided to leave. Before exiting, I stopped by the Welcome Center to share feedback about our experience. During the conversation, the employee assisting me appeared to smile or suppress laughter while I was explaining our concerns. Whether intentional or not, it came across as dismissive and unprofessional. I was told a supervisor would come speak with me, but no one ever showed up. What made this even more frustrating was seeing a large group of employees gathered near the exit saying goodbye to guests while assistance inside the park was so difficult to find throughout the day. I understand that no amusement park experience is perfect, and I'm not leaving this review simply because the day didn't go as planned. My disappointment comes from the gap between what Gilroy Gardens advertises and what we actually experienced. Accessibility is more than handing out return-time slips. It requires well-trained staff, reasonable flexibility, accessible facilities, adequate staffing, and a genuine commitment to helping all guests feel welcome. We invested time, money, and a lot of anticipation into this visit, and unfortunately left feeling disappointed. Based on our experience, this was the least accommodating amusement park we've visited. I hope Gilroy Gardens takes guest feedback seriously and makes meaningful improvements, because there is a lot of potential here. As it stands, we won't be returning.

We were informed that adults are NOT allowed on the second story of the play structure and cannot accompany our child on the slides. Our 21 month old had to stay on the first floor the whole visit. She started getting upset that we wouldn't allow her to follow the other kids up to the slides. I asked an employee why we couldn't go down the slides with our daughter and she said per new ownership, they changed the rules. Except recent videos (as of today) on social media of people advertising this place show adults going down the slides. We also witnessed adults walking around the top floors with their kids and going down the slides. It seems that the rules aren't applicable to everyone. Tons of balls in the ball pit were deflated, the ball cannon shooters were not working and that's pretty much all there is to do if you stay on the ground floor. Older kids can play in the ball pit and it's simply way too small for that. My daughter was terrified of the older kids running and jumping into the pit around her. It was a rainy day outside and very crowded. I asked one of the floor workers if she could turn on the giant overhead fan to help move some air around since it was very muggy and warm and she said she had to ask the owner first. She even admitted she was getting hot as well. 20 minutes went by and it was never turned on. I guess it doesn't work? Not sure why you need to ask the owner for permission to turn on a fan. The layout could use a little rearranging. It's a cool concept, just not executed nearly as well as others with the same idea. For the price, $40-ish for two adults to accompany their toddler, it's absolutely not worth it. We won't be returning. Also keep in mind, if you order tickets and sign the waiver ahead of time, you'll still have to wait in line behind people who didn't. Just one person in front of us with one child took 15 minutes to buy their tickets and sign the waiver. Once we were checked in which took less than 5 minutes, the line was out the door. There are also no lockers to safely put your belongings in, just open cubby's.

Our grandson was very excited and the first thing we did was attend the puppet show and saw "The Magic Tea Kettle". After that we let him wander around and explore the park and he loved the Dragon Slide and went on multiple times, rode the Merry Go Round a couple of times, the Jolly Trolley before it got busy, The Alice in Wonderland tunnel, Clocktower Slide, Willie the Whale, Ching Lung the Happy Dragon, The Three Little Pigs (but one was missing), The Jolly Roger Pirate Ship and the Ansi's Magic Web, saw the donkeys, ducks, tortoise, chickens, goats. We also ate lunch at cafe and shared chicken nuggets, chicken panini sandwich and chicken quesadilla which were healthy and delicious! At the end of our visit, we went to the gift shop and let him bring home a small trinket. The only suggestion I have is to get safety belts for the Merry Go Round for peace of mind. We initially scored a nice shady spot, but the sun moves fast and the shade vanished within an hour! Luckily, we stumbled upon a total "secret spot" to hang out for the rest of the day. (Want the inside scoop? Our first meal of pizza and breadsticks was decent but a little dry. However, the cheeseburger and fries meals were a massive hit. We ordered three of them throughout the day, and our 11-year-old son chose the burger every single time and thoroughly enjoyed it. The park left the condiments out in the scorching sun (nobody wants warm ranch!). Worse, the fine print failed to mention that desserts were excluded. We saved our last food window for a funnel cake, only to be denied at the counter. The staff couldn't explain the policy, which wasted 30 minutes of our ride time. My waterproof phone case gave out early (cough cough, OtterBox, hook me up for a review! ), so photos were limited, but here is how the rides stacked up: The Big Winners: Tornado was beautifully terrifying--my son and I rode it twice, both taking turns going down the drop backwards! The Honolulu Half-Pipe (the "Blue Taco" ride) was also a massive hit for an 11-year-old. The Water Slides: On the Four-Slide Tower, the Orange Slide had two solid drops and the Yellow Slide was plenty of fun. We skipped the White Slide, and the Blue Slide was closed. Breakpoint Plunge was awesome, and Splash Water Island was a blast to explore. Pools & Rivers: Caribbean Cove won points for having genius in-water benches. The Lazy River was a great length (despite a little floating debris), but Breaker Beach (the wave pool) felt like it was operating at only half-power. We had to skip Big Kahuna entirely due to a massive line and a slow tube-loading system. The biggest drawback was ride efficiency. The staff lacked a smooth system for loading and unloading, making wait times much longer than necessary. Additionally, the restroom cleanliness wasn't up to par for a Six Flags park, and we noticed quite a few ants hanging out around the food shack. Between the line inefficiencies, warm condiments, and the dessert pass surprise, the park layout easily sat at a 2-star rating. However, the sheer amount of smiles, laughs, and pure excitement from the kiddos boosted our final score to a 3 out of 5 stars. Would we go back? Surprisingly, yes. When the California heat is beaming down, you just need a place to jump in and cool off. Hurricane Harbor did exactly what we needed it to do: it kept our family refreshed and making memories together. Until the next adventure, stay cool!

The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our visit, although at times it felt like some areas could have been run a little more efficiently. The biggest downside was the cost of food and drinks, which were very expensive. The restroom facilities could also use more attention and maintenance to improve the overall guest experience. Despite those issues, we still had a great day and enjoyed the attractions. We will definitely be coming back!
