BTW I did let the restaurant know about the first disk, but thought I would give them a 2nd go and I'm glad I did. The Chicken Dansak was I would say almost perfect, succulent Chicken, just the right amount of sweet/sourness and tasty fresh ingredients. It redeemed itself after the first takeaway. Recommended!

The menu is extensive and the food is excellent. They cater for all your curry needs whether it's a mild korma or a 'blow the roof off your mouth off' phal. The prices are incredibly reasonable; in fact they have remained the same for the last five years. One of the many joys of eating here is the almost limitless supply of coffee at the end of the meal. You pay for the first cup and the rest is free. There's also a complementary glass of brandy and a plate full of chocolate mints. I would recommend it to anyone.

It's on the most visible end of Turnpike Lane opposite a Wetherspoons and near a few other good local eateries like Jashan (another Indian). But this Indian/Pakistani restaurant serves for me anyway better portions that it's sister restaurant. You can sit in but a lot of locals come, some from a bit more afar (even police officers have stopped off a few times when I popped in) to get a takeaway. There are a few things good, but the one thing it does best is the lamb curry. I get it every time. The 5 stars are for that and that alone. Other meat dishes bring it down to a 3/4. the veg dishes i usually get are Okra, or Potato/Spinach which are very nice. A good box of the lamb curry though and a naan bread (had better naan's in all honesty, but still good) to mop it up. You get a free little salad with it and some mint yogurt too. And it's cheap. Oh and like most who value authentic it maintains its spiciness. I hate when places cater for western tastebuds. If it's meant to be spicy, keep it spicy. This is hot but not burn your mouth stuff. They have done an impressive job on the remodel updating it with a bright and clean interior tastefully decorated and well equipped. Two large screen TV's play Bollywood music videos and sporting events. When you enter there is a small kebab shop and takeaway, and you enter through the second set of doors to the dining room. The food is amazing! A dazzling array of choices and some special items. We ordered Karahi Fish, Karahi Methi Gosht, Tarka Daal and a whole tandoori chicken. This was more than enough food for four and we were all very happy to try so many tasty items. First the fish was perfectly prepared and delicately spiced. It had a great texture and wasn't "swimming" in sauce. The lamb curry was ordered spicy and the chef actually came to ask us how spicy we actually wanted it, so we explained EXTRA EXTRA EXTRA hot.. he laughed and asked if we were sure and we said we were. He delivered! It was a spicy inferno without being overpowering. The daal was very nice but the highlight was the Tandoori chicken.. it was the most flavorful one we had tried in a long time and came out perfectly moist and juicy and oozing with flavour, and at 7 quid it was quite a deal as well. We also noted on the menu the chefs special.. a WHOLE LEG OF LAMB! We vowed a night of hedonism and drinking accompanied by a lamb feast. We followed through the following week and we were rewarded for our determination with a stunning piece of culinary magic. The leg of lamb was so tender and flavourful that we decided to make it a monthly ritual.. but be forewarned you have to order it 24 hours in advance.. so think ahead! The Lahore Masala House is a welcome addition to the Kentish Town landscape.. they have great lunch deals and they also stay up late for those leaving the locals or the Forum.

This restaurant is very well known and my mum always goes there for a meal. I trusted her to order for me. So I got the Veg samosa , chicken korma with naan bread. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The food was very delicious and not spocy at all. The restaurant is in winchmore hill close to the train station. The staff were really polite and nice and the atmosphere, too. The prestaurant is not very big but always very busy which shows just how good the food is. Next time i will try something different and I am sure I will like it.
