Ended up here by chance and will absolutely be back. Food was incredible and service was even better. Our server rajj was so kind. All of their chicken dishes were cooked to perfection. Wait staff was incredibly attentive and I can't wait to recommend this place to all my friends

Quick and nice service on a Thursday evening. We had a lot of food: appetizers, drinks, two main dishes and two side veggie dishes. It was super affordable and great tasting. The staff was wonderful as well.

What a great experience! We came here to finish out our vacation in London and this restaurant did not disappoint! Raj was so attentive and accommodating the food was fantastic I highly recommend the lamb chops seasoned well and cooked to perfection. The cheese naan was also excellent. Plus this restaurant is AIR CONDITIONED! What a great bonus. Full bar. Right between Euston Station and Warren Street Station.

Star 2 We had the garlic nan, prawns, chicken ruby and black Daal. Star 3 For dessert, a small yogurt treat with raspberries and lychee. Star 4 Will, a manager, was personable and hardworking - bussing, wiping and setting up tables. He took some time to chat and informed us that Dishoom is coming to NY and we hope he comes along, too! The restaurant has gotta be like 4x the size of Carnaby. Not just that, the ambience is way better here. The tables are way more spaced out, so you don't feel super cramped. The open space helps negate the strong Indian spices that emanate from the kitchen. And it just feels way more comfortable. Anyways, our reservation was right at the tail end of the breakfast menu hours and right before the regular menu began, so we were able to get a Sausage & Egg Naan Roll to start. Also had the Lamb Biryani, Goan Monkfish Curry, Mutton Pepper Fry, and Murgh Malai. I mean basically everything at Dishoom is great, and this was no exception. Service was fantastic. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming! I love Dishoom, so you'll have to find a reason for me to not come here. Really good stuff!

So we did some research. Somewhere along the line we found Meraz written up as one of the 12 best Indian restaurants in England. Okay, so we trek over to the East End (pretty wild neighborhood that we enjoyed) for dinner at Meraz. My husband was disappointed not to find a particular dish on the menu, but the waiter didn't hesitate to offer to have the kitchen whip it up special for him. My husband also went a little wild ordering all sorts of appetizers and side dishes. Now I don't like to deal in hyperbole. A five star rating should be sufficient praise. But I'm going to go overboard just this once: BEST INDIAN FOOD I'VE EVER EATEN IN A RESTAURANT. EVER. I've eaten in Indian restaurants at home in Chicago, in L.A., New York, St.Louis, Atlanta, San Francisco, etc., etc. etc. Many have been good, but none approached this. We ate every scrap of all the food we ordered, and only because we had a tight timeline and a busy itinerary for our brief visit to London did we not go back for at least a second meal.

Also ordered chicken curry, chicken korma, lamb tikka biryani, garlic naan...all very tasty. Mango lassi was great too, one of the best I've had. We wanted to go to Lahore One but we had taken too long to get there so we were looking for some kind of fast food, pretty late on a Friday night and we found here. You can get 3 different curries and rice for £3.50 if your a vegetarian and £4.50 if you want to ruin the environment and eat meat. I jest. Plus he chucked in a naan. Although the quality can vary from day to day, I guess it's not always the same people who cook? Or sometimes they don't get the same ingredients? I think a big part of their business is catering events, but there are always people in the restaurant as well. Their spinach is good. My flatmate loves their mushroom rice. Chicken Jalfry is nice and spicy. Chicken korma is sweet and mild. What they call "Taste of Balti" is very tasty too. Most of it is basically exactly how it should be (in my heathen opinion at least). Meat dishes are between £4 and £6. Veggie sides around £3 (go Sag Aloo!). They open late, from what I've seen they don't have a definite closing time but it's usually around midnight on weekends.

The korma was overly sweet and almost like a dessert. Overall not bad, but better could be had at nearby establishments. The service was a little weird.
