So, I called DEC with great hope. I was told a technician would be out between 4-6, well I get a call at 1:00 saying the technician is busy on another job and can't make it today. I don't know how someone can see into the future and predict they won't be done in 4+ hours, I digress, So I start calling other electricians in the area, 2 companies say they can be out to my house today. But before calling one of them back, I get a call from DEC saying an opening just came up for 4-6, that was my original time, So I say yes please. So I get a call at 4:30 from DEC and tell me the technician is to busy and won't be able to make it out to my house. DEC put a carrot in front of me and I chased it. I guess this company has only one technician. Don't let them string you along, and make you feel like thier the only show in town. read more

So my Quiet Cool whole house fan stopped working. The remote led's stayed solid. Was originally quoted $299 to have someone come out. I squawked and they lowered it to $249. I am in the San Gabriel Valley and they are in Murietta. But they had a job in a Neighboring city so it was less than 10 minutes to get here. The tech was pleasant, listed to the issue. He was great. Went up in the attic, was up there less than 2 minutes and done. The amount paid for his time is criminal. Let me start by saying great company and great experience overall. My problem is with the led lights they provide and install. Two of the 6 lights went bad in 2 years. Now a third of the lights is now flickering. They provide a warranty on the service but not the product they provided for installation. Expensive! I contacted Direct Electric Company for an estimate to come out an look at my electric panel. They wanted $225 just to come out and take a look. I asked if I had them do the repairs if this cost would go towards any repairs that would be needed. The answer was, "No." I would be charged by the hour and for any parts. I couldn't believe that they would not come out and at least look at my panel for free and then give me an estimate. I refuse to pay $225 to have an estimate when there are so many other companies out there that will do it for free. I'm very disappointed. read more
