    My response back to Astound:…read more I made over 7 attempts to have by quote fixed to no avail. Astound kept increasing the price from $177 to $208. So happy I am not a customer. I saw their true colors on how they didn't care and they didn't want to fix the issue. Also, ASTOUND kept saying they don't have this information on the quote. I sent their own email to them 3 times with no resolution. I believe all the bad reviews on this and other websites. ASTOUND is merging with another company if you haven't heard. ASTOUND has 3 emails from me so they have the documentation. I asked to speak to a manager and they said 24 to 48 hours wait. I have notified the Better Business Bureau as well as the Secretary of State Office in Massachusetts with complaints about their deceptive sales practices and fraud. I was quoted one price and called to get it corrected and they didn't honor the price. I was quoted a price of $177 and when I called customer service they said price was $208. in addition, they didn't believe me as the customer even though I have a receipt of the amount. Customer Service said we see $0 dollars in our system since you haven't received your bill. How can Astound expect people to accept a service without a quote. I was quoted 4 free cable boxes and remotes and that wasn't honored. Overall, the worst experience ever and happy I am not going to be a customer. Clearly, they don't care about the customer and don't know how to provide sales quotes. Don't believe their sales since they will charge you a separate price. Be aware, you are not locked in for 5 years on the price. That is only internet, so be prepared for large increases. DONT TRUST ASTOUND SALES OR CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY LIE ABOUT PRICING AND SERVICES.

    I was Xfinity for two and a half years in my Boston apartment. While I started at the promotional…read morerate of $40/month I was paying $95 at my second anniversary. Is the service improving that much to have affected a more than 100% increase? Also when I went to cancel my service due to a move, I first spoke with someone who was trying to push for me transferring my service to whoever was going to be taking over. That they would offer them a good rate of $65/month, $30 less than what I was spending. I was confused at first and then peeved that they'd have the audacity to try to both use me to help them get a better better rate with the new tenant and also tell me Id been paying at least $30 more than what I couldve been paying. I should've just hung in though because at least that guy seemed the least bit competent. The next agent I spoke with said I needed to wait 15 minutes on the line to cancel my service. When I questioned this, they told me that they need my consent throughout the process, and I reiterated that I gave them my consent, which is in all other world scenarios a one-time process. That they can cancel my service and follow up with an email confirming cancellation. She said as an alternative they can do this by email but it'll now take 3 days for me to receive a response. When I questioned the discrepancy between 15 minutes and 3 days, she couldnt give me a straight answer. I asked to speak to a manager and they asked why. I told them I didnt trust that my request was being taken seriously or that it would be fulfilled as requested, which was to remain online for the duration of the month. Turns out I was unfortunately right. They cancelled my service the same day, leaving me 14 days without internet. I wasn't going to call back after that. Abominable customer service. If you can avoid them, do.

They sucker u in with lies etc. I finally had enough got a roku and better internet and terminated service. When I called to cancel I thought they'd try get me something like better deals or prices but nope not even sorry to lose u as a loyal customer etc. They're prices are ridiculous. And I can't understand why especially with all streaming apps and roku etc. U think they try to lower or keep their longtime loyal customers. One more thing my bill literally for top 250 nothing more was 200$ a month and if u were late they shut service off. Stephen helped me mount a TV in a small bedroom for my elderly father, on short notice, over the holidays. His communication to arrange the appointment was excellent and flexible. I knew what I wanted but asked for his guidance on how to go about it. He was friendly, pleasant and helpful on all fronts. I quickly I had an appointment and felt confident about how things would turn out. On the day, he called ahead to let me know his ETA and showed up on-time. Once he arrived we confirmed the job details and he got right to it. I asked him if he minded me watching and asking questions to learn, but I admit, as a highly skilled professional tech guy myself, I wanted to find out what experience Steven had and how well he understood the tech behind the services he offers. My motivation for that is simple: - I live out of state from my folks - good service is hard to find - not everyone is trustworthy - even pro tech folk need help with tech - I know tons of folks who need tech help Stephen answered all my questions with ease and I discovered he has great technical skills and experience beyond the services he offers. I even learned a few tricks about how to make aspects of what he did easier and more successful. I also really enjoyed talking with him about tech and even about life. I was left with a feeling that not only is he smart and qualified, but also that I'd enjoy working with him on any type of tech project because he had such great aptitude and attitude about all. He was efficient, handled small challenges with confidence and completed the job with ease...all while teaching me how he did it. I highly recommend Carter IT and will be sending him as many referrals as I can.
