Our church moved five phone lines to Xfinity Mobile in July of 2025. We were told that our 501c3…read moretax exemption would be handled, taxes we paid up front would be refunded once the paperwork cleared, trade-ins would cover the new phones, activation fees would be waived, and gift cards would be sent for switching. We checked in again in August and September and were told everything was being processed. None of these things actually happened. We are being charged taxes, the gift cards never came, activation fees showed up, and we are making payments on phones we were told would be covered. We are also paying more per line than what we were quoted at the store. When we contacted corporate, they admitted we were given incorrect information by this location but said they could not fix it. As a church trying to steward our finances, this was discouraging. Sharing our experience so that other churches, nonprofits, and families can make informed decisions before switching.
