Save your money - depending on who is working or not working, this company seems to be mediocre at best. A sudden change of staff leaves them bewildered with no communication and bungled floral arrangements even though you send them pictures. They try to explain that they had a recent turnover of personnel - well that is not good, so you pay thousands of dollars for greenery with no flowers????? A $50 centerpiece should look better than a clump of green leaves shoved into a plain glass vase, not one colored flower in the whole arrangement and pictures were sent and meetings were made with the company by the bride and we got gypped big time. Suggest you take your money somewhere else....... Hard to get in touch with. Begged for a formal contract finally got something nonspecific....... We trusted them to be creative but should have known better. and honestly the arrangements were pathetic. read more

I wanted this to be an awesome experience, I really did. It was my friend's 25th birthday and I ordered flowers for her after reading DIRT's great yelp reviews. I asked for the flowers to be delivered as early as possible and at the very least during school hours (since they were being delivered to a school where she teaches). Once the school day was over and I had not heard from her, I called DIRT only to find out that the driver was in traffic and they were not going to be delivered. I gave them my friend's home address which they were then unable to locate (it's a fairly large apartment complex) and so my friend never received flowers on her birthday. They sent them out the next day but truthfully, they had already missed the boat. The handwriting on the note was sweet but other than that, I can't say I'd recommend them. It was expensive and overall, pretty disappointing. read more

The first time I went in, I noticed there was nothing cookie cutter about this place. It had an earthy / rustic look to itself. Right away I thought this was going to get expensive. The store had so much originality. The arrangements they had just in the store front were absolutely beautiful. I was greeted by a couple of people behind the counter. Very friendly and polite. I was getting some flowers for my and my girlfriend's Anniversary. I wanted something that was not typical roses. Wanted something different without spending a lot more money like what I find myself spending at the other florists. She started asking me questions about her. Trying to get an idea of what flower was going to be close to her liking. She suggested these Star Callis. So I got an arrangement to have it taken myself.. All I had to spend was 25 / 30 dollars and they made an incredible arrangement that made me feel like I spent 100.00 on. A few months later, I decide to buy my girlfriend those same flowers but have them delivered spoke to Chris and he was very patient and friendly. I had the same arrangement put together and the delivery was only 12.00. (not including the amount for the flowers.) They even had it sent out the same day. even though I was expecting for them to say tomorrow. Dirt has managed to have me coming back every time I want to get flowers for my loved ones. But once you deal with Dirt, It'll be hard to see a florist in the same way ever again. It would be fair to compare these guys to any other florist because they have honed it to an art. Which is how it's suppose to be presented. If you have to shop around, Go to these guys first. It'll be the only place you'll need for flowers and arrangements. read more

I picked DIRT to be my florist for my wedding. The process was so simple. My husband (then fiance) and I met with them at their store and went over wedding theme, colors, number of tables, etc. We felt so at home with Kyra that we immediately paid the deposit and secured the date the same day. The prices are very reasonable and they were willing to work with our budget. I was looking for a florist that had more of a "whimsical" vibe and was assured they would not disappoint. Getting the final details on the number of boutonnieres, table centerpieces, etc was tricky and I sent a TON of emails asking to amend the contract for my changes. They were always pretty quick to respond with a new contract and with no complaints. The day of the wedding I was completely blown away by my bouquet (and all of the other flowers they did). I received so many compliments and it was exactly what I wanted. The flowers were GORGEOUS! It literally made the wedding complete. I had not sure what to expect because all I had done was send them pictures of arrangements that I liked and that was it. I cannot tell you enough how great it was working with Kyra at DIRT. For this visit, it was all about the foliage and the rustic craftsmanship of recycled wood, metal and stonework. Everything I observed in their store focused on the sculptural aspects of arrangements. I liked that Dirt gave special attention to living displays and nature as centerpieces. Yes, they do have flowers in the refrigerated section too, if you're looking for blasts of color. I absolutely love DIRT's work. I love that Sonya "got" me. She understood that I wanted rustic meets modern and that I wanted plants in recycled cans as centerpieces. I actually didn't want flowers at all but I saw Sonya's bouquet on the cover of D Magazine and absolutely feel in love with that bouquet of red hypericum berries, peonies, and roses. She was able to almost replicate the bouquet (using coral colored circus heart garden roses and peach colored roses instead). I loved Sonya's vision and her team did an exceptional job with the centerpieces. There was a mixture of different types of green plants from ferns to succulents with succulent blooms and different tables had varying height from little tree stumps and scattered with some arranged stones. The effect was elegant and rustic at the same time. I couldn't have been happier with the result because I know (from multiple interviews) that no other florist could have carried off this like Sonya and her team from DIRT. Thank you so much and I am really looking forward to the pictures! Also, I love that I was able to keep some of my plants and have them growing in my home for years to come! I also paid for delivery to my house and while the delivery price was a tad expensive it was prompt and went without a hitch. I ordered the strawberry fields- petite arrangement and while the website promises that it will come in a silver mercury vase, mine just came in a cardboard box. 1. This decreased the overall effect of the arrangement 2. I was unable to adequately care for the flowers resulting in the flowers wilting in a couple days time. They neither intimated me about this change nor did they follow up about how happy I was with their service, which was surprising given that they are a premium brand.
