There aren't enough words to express my gratitude to Caylen and the entire team! This venue (a bookstore -The Wild Detectives in the Bishop Arts District) presented unique decorating challenges, and we were working with a tight budget, but Caylen went above and beyond to bring my daughter's vision to life--down to every last detail. She absolutely NAILED it! On the day of the wedding, we faced extremely high winds (of course!), which made deciding on the ceremony and reception dinner setup incredibly stressful for me as the mother of the bride. I kept going back and forth between an indoor or outdoor setup, but the team remained calm, kind, and unwavering in their commitment to making everything perfect. Their "customer-first, always-smiling" attitude meant the world to me. I was extremely impressed with the quality of the event rentals, from the dishware and glassware to the chargers, utensils, and chairs. Everything was top-notch! Happy to have hopefully found a reliable company for flower deliveries. I've made the mistake of using many commercial delivery services such as From You Flowers and 1-800-Flowers and was very hesitant about trying again with a different company. Majority of the time the flowers are dried up, wilting, in a different basket, etc. When my friend received a promotion at her job I decided to give Dr Delphinium a try and I'm glad I did. It is on the pricier side, I paid about $159 for the delivery of the flower arrangements shown and the room spray plus candle, but frankly I've learned you get what you pay for. The website was a little glitchy - especially when it came to the message that I wrote in the card, but overall I was very happy with the outcome and glad that the Dallas location could deliver as far as the Fort Worth suburbs (about a $15 delivery fee). I even had the opportunity to speak with support since I accidentally put my own address rather than my recipients, who were more than happy to help me with my issue. Overall I do recommend giving this service a try. read more

OMG. My sister sent me some flowers from this business for my birthday 3/15/2023 and it's now 3/23/2023 and my flowers are still in excellent shape! I love them so much!!! God is so Good and creates the most beautiful masterpieces!!! I can now appreciate the beauty of flowers!!! I remember very vividly, a significant other at the time (2016) asking me if I like flowers and I said something to the extent of " not really, they eventually die".. I was SILLY! Park Cities Deserve Better: The Death of Customer Service I ordered my Thanksgiving pies and decided to add a thoughtful gesture for my girlfriend, who recently suffered a loss. At 12:18 PM, I placed an online order for a sympathy arrangement that included both flowers and a wind chime, as listed on their website. Shortly after, I received a call confirming the arrangement would be ready at 1:30 PM, though they informed me the wind chime was sold out--despite being available online. I was fine with this and simply asked for the difference to be made up with extra color in the arrangement. When my girlfriend and I arrived at the store at 1:32 PM, we were told they couldn't find my order. After some confusion, I watched as they began hurriedly assembling an arrangement in front of me. A pre-made bouquet was dumped into a vase, with someone quickly cutting a single leaf to wrap the inside. The arrangement clearly wasn't ready, nor was the handwritten card I had paid extra for. When I questioned the delay, the excuse I received was, "It's only 8 minutes." Asking to speak with a manager only made things worse. Her response, rather than addressing the issue, was, "What do you want?" What I wanted, and what I paid for, was simple: a complete arrangement ready on time and delivered without excuses or attitude. For a store of this caliber, delivering on basic promises isn't too much to expect--it's the bare minimum. This is the second time I ordered a boutonnière from Dr. Delphinium designs ...both times the rose they used seemed stale with brown spots at the stem with a couple of petals ready to fall off. The person who handed me the boutonniere didn't seem to care either. $15 for a single rose and yet they cannot get it right!! I only went to them because Whole Foods ( especially the one on Park Lane who consistently do a fabulous job) were completely booked for Mother's Day and couldn't take my order. Also, when shopping from their website, what you see is what you get! So often, what's promised is not what's delivered. Different vase or pot, different flowers or arrangement, etc. Not the case with Dr. Delphinium. I ordered these for a birthday/holiday gift from their website and it arrived exactly as pictured. They are consistently the most high quality florist I've ever used and that includes in my own city - Houston. Please open a location here!! I am not sure if the quality has gone down or what is going on. I ordered a nice bouquet of flowers in a vase costing more than $200. The online order process was nice and smooth and received my flowers later in the evening. Everything went smoothly but then upon inspection the flowers used in the arrangement seemed to have already been wilting and not fresh. The water was even a bit murky. The hydrangeas were already dead and some of the straw flowers were wilting. Initially I chocked it up to transport and the very hot days we have been having this August. But waking up to them the second day they already are all wilting and don't look very good. I don't think this kind of quality is acceptable if you are paying higher price than the grocery store bought flowers but they don't even last a day and a half. Ive been a long time customer and always recommend everyone go here and support a local business. Not sure I will be using this florist or recommending any longer. read more

I always prefer to support small businesses, however considering the money and time that was spent for the "Dr. D" name, I truly expected more. After just five days they were wilted and unsightly, which leads me to believe these were not fresh flowers. If I could give zero stars I would. We purchased plants there for our house and told them we needed plants for low indirect light and low maintenance. The plants cost $1500!! We purchased them in March and I followed the watering instructions they gave me to a T. Within a few months I noticed some of them were dying. I contacted the lady there who made the plant arrangements for me (and who gave me the watering instructions) and she told me I was watering them too much........ so I watered them less. By September ALL of the plants were dead. I went to another plant store and showed them pictures of what we were sold for our lighting and they told me that NONE of the plants we purchased were for indirect low light. They all required bright direct light. I contacted Dr Delphinium at least 5 times to talk to them about this and no one will respond to me. $1500 is a ton of money to spend on plants for them to die in 6 months due to them selling us the wrong type of plants for our lighting. This place is TERRIBLE!! read more

They followed up with a notice when my flowers were delivered, a copy of the receipt and what I wanted written on the enclosed card. They drove from Dallas to Fort Worth to deliver the flowers. My niece sent me flowers from this florist for my birthday and they lasted 2 weeks. That was one week longer than my other floral arrangements. I really wished I didn't have to write this, as I would have preferred they live up to their good reputation, but they really messed up here. I ordered my flower delivery for my friend in the evening on-line. Easy process, allowed me the option to ensure delivery by 4pm the next day. Well, my friend never got them. Part of the fun of a surprise delivery of flowers is the surprise element. I had to call her and ask if she received anything. So already kind of ruined. When she didn't get them, I emailed customer service and early the next morning there was a response that they would deliver that day. Not ideal but I know stuff happens so was willing to roll with it. We exchanged a few emails and she assured me that they would make sure to get a signature or name this time. Now they needed to be delivered by 4 because that is when she leaves work. When it got to 3:47 I called Dr D again and after being on hold a few times all she could tell me was they it showed they were out for delivery. I explained the situation and she said she was going to call the delivery driver then call me back. She did not. So at 4:15 I call back and got a different person and she really tried hard to track the driver down and resolve this. During one of the times she put me on hold and then disconnected but she did call me back.By this time it was now 4:30. My friend was already staying late per my request so she said she could til 4:45. (On a sunny Friday evening when she could be doing other stuff). So I told the gal on the phone I would call back in 15 minutes if they were not delivered. They were not, called them, on hold 5 minutes before yet another person answered. At this point I just requested a refund. She said they would do that but since I used Apple Pay someone else who was not there would need to handle it and get back to me tomorrow. So here I am, 2 days, 8 emails, four calls totaling 26 minutes and no $179 refund and no flowers. I was nice to the folks trying to help me, it wasn't their fault, but there is definitely some room for Improvement on delivery communication and the ability to get ahold of drivers to confirm deliveries, where flowers are, etc. I always had nice experiences with Dr D, love their creative arrangements and always referred them to others. Best part...the flowers ordered online were such a specialty you chose the type of card. The selection picked was "luxe charcoal".. the local florist literally wrote luxe charcoal on the card and the flowers are nothing like the terrarium that was ordered. Probably shouldn't farm out your delphinium orders to local florists in Farmersville.... I live in Oklahoma and wanted to order something fun and special for my sister's 50th birthday to go along with the other gifts I had gotten her. She lives in Dallas. One of my friends told me about Dr. Delphinium along with two other Dallas florists. I looked up all 3 online and liked Dr. Delphinium's the best. Also, I liked that they had online chat-I was able to converse with them while online and they gave me some good suggestions. I ended up ordering the Impression Sunrise-patterned after the artist Monet and it came in a vase that looked like a painter's vase. I went ahead and called it in after chatting online to talk to a real person. They were so nice and delivered quickly. My sister was thrilled. She loved it and sent me a picture. It turns out Dr. Delphinium is her favorite florist in Dallas! I like to draw flowers, so I had just finished drawing it off of their website when my sister called. Is there a number lower then Zero? The quality has deteriorated dramatically. Ordered 2 designer choice arrangement, one was beautiful and the other was terrible - dead flowers, cheap looking and not to their normal standard. They took great offense at asking for a replacement snd sent an uglier arrangement with more dead flowers surrounded by flowers which had finished blooming. They must have pulled from the trash. Again, I sent photos and complained and at best C arrangement arrived which was an improvement because the flowers were not dead...yet not in the same category as the other arrangement and past purchases. Their customer service is awful!!!! I advised I would be back in town on the 14th as they demanded to pick up the sub par arrangement before issuing a credit. Despite my email, they dispatched a driver to pick up and then demanded I cancel my vacation to return flowers to their store! One would think they would be embarrassed by sending out sub par work, instead they are angry I had the nerve to complain. It takes a lot for me to post a review, the ugliness of the staff and arrangement are driving this. There are too many other options to choose from. Please save yourself the time and frustration and use a business that cares about the product and wants happy customers. Clearly Dr. D's standards have fallen. Beautiful arrangement in a small square vase. This is by far the smallest floral arrangement I have ever seen for a price of $155. Dr. Delphinium should provide approximate dimensions of their arrangements online so the customer has an idea of size. The arrangement is beautiful but shockingly small. It looked like something you would put as a centerpiece on a tiny table for toddlers. What was meant to be a gift ended up looking more like a cute afterthought on my part, which I did not appreciate. At least the little arrangement is beautiful and of very good quality. read more

I've been searching for a couple of years for a dependable florist that can deliver on what I pay for. Finally, thanks to Marilyn M, I think I can stop looking. I placed my order online two weeks before Valentine's Day - hoping this wouldn't be a repeat of the year my delivery got skipped (thanks, FTD.com) or the year my $100 bouquet was missing $75 worth of flowers - and crossed my fingers. The morning of VD, hours before I expected a delivery to be made, I got a lovely thank you text and a pic of the bouquet. A few minutes later, I got an email from Dr. Delphinium letting me know my flowers had been delivered. Sweet and sweet.
