We love a good nerd bar! We attended a Harry Potter trivia night on a weeknight to check this one out. There is plenty of free parking in the big lot out front. When you enter, you immediately notice the shelves of board games you can play as well as all of the nerdy decor. The decorations are cute! There is lots of seating in several different areas, but if you think it might be crowded you can make a reservation right on Yelp. We have food allergies so we were not able to try their mac 'n' cheese. We did enjoy themed cocktails. The server was exceptional (attentive, efficient and knowledgeable about our allergies). In addition to cocktails, I tried a GF hard cider. The trivia itself was hosted by an outside company (not Dirty 20 Bar). I thought it moved too slowly/took too long between questions and rounds for a work night. I need my sleep. However, it was still fun. In summary, we loved the bar and can't wait to return with some friends to place some board games and sip some cocktails on a rainy afternoon. read more

This place is definitely a labor of love and it shows. The owners have put a ton of work into creating a welcoming place for all. The Mac and cheese specials had a great variety and the kids menu pleased both of my kids. The drink menu pleased all of the adults! We were able to play uno while we waited for our food and had fun looking at all of the great decorations. We definitely will be coming back. read more

I have been wanting to visit since I first heard they were opening a dnd themed bar and finally went on Halloween night What an absolutely fun place. Everyone was super helpful and inviting- as one will find among the dnd crowd. We are friendly and enthusiastic people who love to roll dice. The food was delicious and you can tell they have a ton of fun with coming up with new twists to their Mac and cheese which is a stable. This isnt just a bar but a full restaurant offering a variety. But the vibe is where its at. They have over a hundred different type of games of DND is not your thing! read more

Ok, Dirty 20, I came here with my daughter (22) your Disney trivia night. What a disappointment. It took almost an hour to get our drinks and our food has still not arrived after being here for 2 hours. I am actually writing this review while waiting for my food. In general, we love this place. We have tolerated the hit and miss service, but tonight took the cake. It was like being in an episode of Bar Rescue except John Tapper is not here to get this place straightened out. I invited friends to join us and I am glad they couldn't make it. My daughter loves this place so we will probably be back, but I can't recommend this place until they figure out how to serve the customers on a busy night. Food arrived at 9:16. Not cool. read more

I have been waiting to post a review since November of last year and just saw this restaurant go live on Yelp. What a horrendous experience...let's start off with the only positive; the atmosphere itself with the games and multiple televisions was super neat! Our server/bartender (as we sat at the bar) was more involved with talking to the staff than caring about our dining experience. In fact all of the staff we saw that night was subpar at best. However, the real issue comes down to food...overpriced bar food that was barely edible. My wife had the bruschetta which was nasty as could be and my toasted ravioli were luke warm and fried in old oil. From the other reviews I have read there are multiple occurrences of negativity which tells me this place might go under sooner than later. I promise you we will not go back and unless you are going to just drink take a pass and go elsewhere! read more

What a gem - staff, food, atmosphere! I am always looking for quirky restaurants when visiting big cities, and the Dirty 20 Bar did not disappoint. The crispy pretzel appetizer with house-made cheese sauce was delightful (unfortunately, I forgot to snap a photo before inhaling them). Being a child of the 70s, boxed mac-and-cheese with sliced hot dogs was a staple in our household; so of course, I had to order the Jason's Special Mac (adding crispy onions to the top. Also, I love goat cheese.). Mind blown! I wish my husband and I closer to St. Louis so we could dine here more often. Honestly, this is the absolutely perfect venue for playing board games or ttrpgs! I probably would not plan to go here solely for dinner, because this bar feels designed to be a hangout spot. Drinks are delicious and strong (don't underestimate the weed drinks, if they interest you!) and food is always delicious. It does not come out super quickly, but tastes freshly made-- and when you are spending time with friends, that timing always feels perfect. I love the ambience, and I also appreciate the wall of board games to borrow from if you don't bring your own! I've brought a lot of friends to this bar at this point, and every single one has loved it and often suggests it the next time we plan to hang. I can't recommend this bar enough to spend a evening catching up or to play a game with friends. Beyond that, they have a great menu for kids and I think discounts for them on Sundays. A family game night would be so fun here. Finally, just throwing out I love the servers, and have always had a good experience with them. We made reservations b/c of our large group size. Our youth hockey team was looking for a place to host a team lunch that could accommodate 50 people. This is definitely the place. We arrived right at 11am and the servers were ready to go! We ordered by jersey number to make it easier on the staff. Drinks were good and food was tasty. The only disappointment was they ran out of the Fireball appetizers. They have sooooooo many game for everyone at any age to play!!!! This made our team lunch experience WAY more fun!!!!! When this place opened we were excited to make this our regular place. The drinks are really good! The food is hit or miss depending what you get (the fries are SO good!). After multiple tries, and multiple experiences with horrible service, we aren't coming back. They consistently forget to bring you things. Like straws, napkins, drinks you ask for. Then you ask for them again and again they forget. They spend so much time socializing that you better order everything you want at once because it will be a long time before they come back to check on you. Ambiance was good and unique with board games, and table games you could play while you wait. It's large inside with a ton of seating and a bar area. Definitely Unique food options. Food was just ok as our table mostly got the different sliders and 1 flat bread. Server was very nice and helpful answering menu questions.
