Fall menu - caramel apple martini
    Sara L.

I love the Fireplace. It's basically a neighborhood type dive bar. Very friendly people, good drinks and small food offering. They have a pool table, game machines and the best karaoke on Fri and Sat nights. They have recently had a bit of a facelift and the place looks great. They have also elevated their drinks with holiday special menus. I love the fall caramel apple martini! DELICIOUS! They also make a great white russian for a reasonable price. I've had the smore's dessert which is a cool experience and the pizza which is consistent and good. Service is quick and friendly and sometimes they even have a employee offering food samples. I really enjoy that the karaoke crowd is kind and there to have a good time. They are friendly and will sing with you and cheer you on. The guy who runs karaoke is polite and does his best with your songs and rotating the list of singers. They also have the cleanest restrooms I have ever experienced in a bar! This is not the kind of bar you go to and avoid using the restrooms, its one where you feel comfortable and they always have soap and towels for handwashing! The only downside is that their parking lot is tiny and once its full, you are basically out of luck. There isn't any overflow parking, so I do recommend carpooling if you can.

This is a classic neighborhood bar tucked in a Valley Park neighborhood. If a friend had not suggested that we meet here, I don't think I would have ever stumbled across it. The bar has plenty of room to spread out featuring a decent sized bar with many hightop tables and low top table options in the back. Outside, when the weather is nice, there are lots of seating options as well. Several friends and I came here on a Thursday afternoon and enjoyed time together. The bar featured your typical drink options, but they also had some decent top shelf options and a few microbrewery selections. The food menu features mostly pizza with a couple options on top of that such as hotdogs and brats. We had the meat lovers pizza and the combination pizza. They were frozen pizzas cooked in the back, but they were very tasty and satisfying. Service was very attentive. There was one bartender/server, but she gave us lots of special attention at our table. Me and my friends are definitely playing.

Went here for the first time with some friends on a Saturday night from around 8-11ish. Decent crowd the later it became, two pool tables and a couple dartboards, and karaoke in the back room. Helpful staff. They have cocktails and some bar food there which are decent, but way overpriced. The espresso martini was really good but about $13. Would definitely come back here!!

The best drinks. The best atmosphere. The best bar in St. Louis county. Hands down. This historic bar offers an experience that is increasingly hard to find. There is a camaraderie between patrons and everyone is welcome. You should definitely check it out any day of the week. Make the drive.

    Karaoke is a Blast!...

Total dive bar. Totally fun. Cheaper prices too than hipster dive bars. With a stop.

I discovered, The Lounge because I arrived super early for a wine tasting at another business in the plaza. My friend and I were immediately won over, when we saw the bar dog. Her name is, Lucy. I liked that the front window is tinted so you cannot see in, but once inside you can clearly see the outside. If you like to play slots while you sip your inexpensive cocktail, The Lounge has about 4 or 6 machines for you to play. If you do, good luck. Best of all, the drinks are super affordable aka "cheap". The bartender was friendly to us being newcomers. Seeing the rest of the patrons at the bar and every stool was full, you could tell they were regulars at this neighborhood watering hole. If I'm ever back in the area, I'd definitely stop by for a cocktail.

I ordered the Chicken Club, looking forward to a nice sandwich and (crispy) tater tots. What I got was what can only be described as a chicken burger. Hot, on a bun, grilled chicken breast piece, tomato, lettuce, bacon, mayo, no middle piece of bread. What I absolutely hate about these hot sandwiches and burgers is that they are relatively wet so the bottom piece of bun always gets soggy. At times when I get a hot sandwich (patty melt for example) I'll ask if it's ok to serve the sandwich on top of the tots/fries to avoid that. My wife got the corner pub burger, ordered medium when the server asked, and her burger ended up well done. Service was good, atmosphere, as usual, nice and comfortable, I just can't get over the chicken burger. I hope this helps others that might have ordered the club.
