Tried a flight. The place was pretty quiet and we enjoyed it. Dog friendly. No food, just good beer. Indoor table or bar seating, also some tables out front.

Sampler of Vienna Lager, Tahiti Pale Ale and Orange CreamPunk.

Back again. It's been a year and a half due to me living in Mobile, AL and now Little Rock, AR. I constantly tell folks about this great nano-brewery in the St Louis, MO area. Pure, classic, beautiful variety and epic tastes!

Like beer? Like good beer? Like great beer? Like local beer? Like places with personality and soul? Then come here. I was glad to have stumbled on this gem while I was staying in the area. Steam Punk Brewing is one of those places that give you the sense that they put there all into making some great brews and it shows. It seems that there are constantly changing thing up so I went with the flight sizes of everything to get a good fit of the brewery. There was not a single beer that I did not like from the IPA to the red and the sour, I believe I sampled them all. They make it easy to have an any size flight which is greatly appreciated. There were a few IPAs (a peach and honey one, may be out of rotation) so had to give it a try, I love the fact that they have not joined the bandwagon of making IPA with extreme IBU but just the right amount to be extremely enjoyable. I really liked the Brass Bee and the Constant Clockwork both were extremely tasty. The Waltzing Lager was a great refreshing summer beer I could see myself getting quite a few of those. There was a lot more but those stood out seeing that I remembered them. Honestly if you are in the area and you want to kill some time in a cozy bar with a cool vibe this is the place for you. Pro Tip, Tell them you are undecided and you need to let faith decide which beer you will have, you will get a kick out of what comes next.

This is my go-to homebrew store in Saint Louis. The staff are always very helpful and willing to give advice if you need it. I can't speak for their winemaking selection, but they have all the supplies you'll need to make great beer. They have an impressive collection of hops, malts, and yeasts for such a small store, and if there's something you need that's not in stock, they can order it for you. They also have starting kits for beginners, and offer classes throughout the year for different skill levels. Whether you're looking to brew your first batch of beer or your 100th, this place will have what you're looking for. They always have a few beers on draft for sampling, so have a taste while you're there. It's a great way to try new styles or new hops.

Small but vast brewery with a great selection on brews. Not a ton of seating, but sitting at the bar is a great time. If you're a home brewer, they have all the supplies and knowledgeable staff to help you brew your own.

This place is amazing, friendly and has unbelievably good bears. You have to check it out! Highly recommended.

This place makes beer as good as it can be made. Staff and environment are also great, but beer is out of this world.

Ask the Community - Steampunk Brew Works

Is this place still open? I placed a $630 online order from their home brew store and never received it, they won’t return my phone calls or emails. And no one answers their phone.. ever.

Yup. Still open. Sometimes it's busy and we only tend to answer if we're not currently helping other customers.

    Do you serve food also?

they have snacks, bagged chips, jerky, nuts, etc. There is a decent Chinese place next door and half a dozen restaurants in the plaza.

Where is this place exactly? We just threw the address in gps and couldn't find it. Phone number is a full voicemail...

It's in the corner of the strip mall. It is in the brewery supply store. (St. Louis Wine & Brewery Supply)

Service was 11/10 - seamless, well paced, and very friendly staff Food was 4.5/5 - pretzels, brat, schnitzel were all delicious, best schnitzel Ive had outside of Germany Sadly the apple strudel dessert fell flat (seemed like it was on day 3, soggy pastry and a bit chilled like it was pulled from the fridge and microwaved) Plenty of fun German and Austrian classics, amazing beer, full bar with tasty cocktails, winning atmosphere and excellent service. Definitely worth a visit (or two or 10)

Friendly, welcoming and attentive. I was confused on beers so he let me have a mini tasting of light beers. I'm not sure which one I went with but I believe he said either the house helles or schankbier. Either way they both were tart and bland tasting . Stronger than a cider and a beer. I wasn't sold . For food I ordered the smash burger and fries. It came out fresh and hot but it was just ok! The ambiance of the building is what sold me. The elegance and high ceilings i absolutely loved. They also have the brewery inside the building to gawk and gaze at which was pretty neat. Building was well lit and plenty of seating. I attached the days and hrs of operation and a couple of menu options.

I ended up getting the LW burger with pub cheese and it came with shoe string fries, the burger was thick and juicy, while the shoe string fries with garlic aioli as my sauce was, perfect! This is a pretty good family atmosphere, they have high top tables but also had high top high chairs! A real positive in our book, haven't ran into many restaurants that have this option. I would suggest if you have little ones to order your food when they take your drinks because the service can be hit or miss depending on the time you go, and food can take a little longer than expected. So get the little ones ordered in first and then decide on the adults.

I only saw two high top tables for two people and they were in corners. So we sat in a corner on backless stools. Stools in restaurants should have backs!Pretty uncomfortable and we won't do that again. It also has really high ceilings so it got pretty loud in there. Our server was Erin and she was good! The place was packed inside and outside (in the rain - there were umbrellas over the tables) so the staff was super busy. She kept the drinks and food coming at a good pace. We started off with drinks and onion rings. We had been told how good the onion rings were so we had to order them - they lived up to the hype! I'm not a beer drinker, but my husband is. He had three different ones and didn't really enjoy any of them. He tried Tidewater Plains, Master of the Universe, and Batholith. I had a Jungleberg cocktail and liked it so much, I ordered another one. The server said they were out of them. There were five ingredients in the drink so I have no idea what they were out of. I ordered a Spicy Ancho Margarita and it was okay. It shouldn't be called spicy, because it is not. I ordered Chicken Wings and Onion Soup. Yes, it was summer. But it was cold and rainy and soup sounded good! The soup was very good - very cheesy and they didn't put a chunk of bread in there to get all soggy, which I appreciated. The wings were okay. They were way too saucy for me. My husband got the Philly and said it was okay, but nothing special. I would have probably given 3.5 stars, but that is not an option. I'd go back for the onion rings!
