Classic California food: burgers, sandwiches, burritos, and breakfast. You name it and George's…read moreprobably has it. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Situated in a seedy corner lot on Magnolia and Harrison, don't let the semi-dilapidated surroundings fool you; this place is no joke. Try not to let your guard down while you are eating truly the best burger you can get in Riverside. The price is fair, but can add up quick as refills are not self serve or free and additional sauces (beyond ketchup and similar condiments) are not complimentary. Ranch is just shy of a dollar at .90¢. As much as I loathe paying extra for sauces, the amount of fries they give you seems to justify the upcharge, but, in my opinion, they should charge for EXTRA sauces and maybe include one with a combo. Seems nitpicky but those who need ranch with their fries can sympathize. Their breakfast special is fine, and you very much get what you pay for price and food wise. Again, start adding sides and the price becomes reminiscent of non-fast food sit down diner prices and, to me, that is not justifiable here. As far as other things on the menu, I cannot vouch for the wildly popular breakfast burritos but they were being ordered nonstop while I was visiting. I have tried the pastrami but it was very salty; but that's the nature of the game. With a menu like this, you are bound to hit a roadblock at some point. Just come back and try again. All that being said, this place really is quality and gives a quantity that you don't really see very often. My personal suggestion would be to get a chocolate milkshake with the burger combo, that's what really makes this place a 5/5. You won't regret it. Those in the know, know about George's. Try to be in the know.

For what you pay, just go to Brandon's Diner for real service and flavor. Food is decent when fresh…read moreand not something sitting that was previously cooked. Just don't go when the "owner" (old white guy with glasses) is cooking because apparently since he is incapable of folding a breakfast burrito with eggs overeasy he won't do it. A ten year old can do it but it's too messy for the owner and he refuses. Any other day it's never been a problem for the other real cooks. Imagine being a restaurant owner that serves half Mexican food and American and you can't fold a burrito because the eggs are overeasy? If you are incapable, stay out the kitchen and stick to running the back end. The cooks probably despise when he shows up to "help" as he slows everybody down with the pace of a turtle. But he's the owner and it's his restaurant so screw the customer, no exceptions. It was a simple request but I guess he doesn't need the business and he won't lose any sleep over it.

I can't get enough of Monty's!…read more We need one of these closer to Corona/ Murrieta etc. Spread them throughout the Inland Empire please! We need more Monty's locations! It's either Riverside or Los Angeles. The Los Angeles location is nice because it has standard restaurant seating and the vibe is full on Monty's! It's so cool! I hope they grow and open more locations. My husband and I just drove an hour to get to the Riverside location. We're only able to come once a month because it's so far away. We would hit it once a month if it were closer, maybe more than once a month. Service is always great at this location. They have stickers and buttons available. The seating is bar stools at a counter inside the food lab. The food is amazing! It's always perfectly made and it hits the spot when we miss the Monty's plant-based chicken. The burgers are good. Love the fries and tots! Definitely do the "maxed out" tots or fries. Those are the best! I love the kale salad and add chicken on top. My husband loves the chicken burgers. We always bring friends here to try Monty's plant-based grub! This place rocks.

Fries and tots were decent. Would love to come back to try the dog and chicken sandwich. Service was quick. They had a good amount of counter seating but it was pretty busy. I absolutely love their mascot though and they have free stickers that look like him. All food is vegetarian friendly! 100% plant-based.

She was standing at the cash register WAITING on a man ASKING his 5 year old CHILD questions over and over again what they wanted. I said, "excuse me, what's the code for the restroom?" All I got was a hand-up in the air, towards myself. I continued to stand there, while the man continued to ask said child questions,.. still waiting on them ordering.... When finally a gentleman from the back walks up and gives me the simple code, which took him 2 seconds. #2: I order the Baja fish sandwich... IT IS NOTHING LIKE THE PHOTO. Flavorless and blah. This sandwich WAS NOT WORTH THE $11.00. I would rather go to McDonald's for their Fillet-O-Fish sandwich, at least they are true to their picture and not deceiving as a way of advertising. Also, Just an FYI the women's bathroom is a mess. You can tell it hasn't been checked in a while... photos to follow....

They open at 8 and we were there a few minutes after. 4 burritos and a pancake plate took 40 minutes to come out. Around 30 minutes in They asked us to pull forward and we asked how much time because we have been here awhile. She proceeds to tell me there is only 2 of them and they just opened. 10 minutes later they bring me the food and she says "he wanted me to remind you that we opened at 8 and there is only 2 of us and we had 4 cars before us". How about a "sorry for the long wait"? Funny part is I was going to order a coffee and she said "it's not ready it would be about 15 minutes. So I decided against it....why would you not tell me THEN that the food would be awhile too? Long story short, if you want to serve breakfast and open at 8, it doesn't mean you have to get there at 8. This is a community that starts their day earlier, if you don't want to serve breakfast for it on time, don't. We will not be back. I'll also be sure to let anyone I know who asks where they should go to eat to not go here. And I work where I am in contact with a lot of people in our community. This would have all been fine if there was some empathy for taking so long.
