I hired DAG in 2014 for my appeal & they handled everything, from beginning to end. I won my case in May 2016. They were knowledgeable & professional, with xlnt advice. The claim would not of been awarded without my participation over years to submit medical reports, attend doctor's appointments and court dates. They won't assist with finding out the reason I didn't receive payment. The office was very rude when I questioned them. Absolutely horrible experience. Whilst this business was about to collect a huge sum out of my case. They did next to nothing. The few times I contacted them, my questions went unanswered. There was no help. I had contacted them last Sunday, they didn't answer my questions but sent me a PDF to fill and post for my case. Apparently it had been requested. I didn't have time to send this as my case was denied this Thursday, they sent an email that they would drop my case the same day. Not enough evidence. This was for SSI. Today I received a notice stating that I do not qualify from disability advocate group, and that they've changed their mind and won't be representing my case. Maybe this is the first time they've looked at my case even though it's been with them for 2 1/2 years now? I've filed most all of my own paperwork. I have multiple auto immune issues and get confused easily. DAG didn't do anything for me, including helping me with the initial paperwork. Their website says they help you "every step of the way" but then they refused to help correct my wrong initial claim as they don't help with "paperwork." Then, when SS sent me to get doctor's tests, I was only notified by DAG one day before the appointments. Had I not been on top of my snail mail or emails on these appointments for 3 weeks already, I would have missed them due to late notice from DAG. I had 5 different people speak to me on my case - every time I called, it was someone else. Rosa, Janet, Stephanie, the GM, etc. Hard to get them to return calls. When I did have questions for Rosa the "case manager", she would minimally answer my questions, and if I complained at all, she would say, "I will have our GM call you," and then he never called. Finally, I called Rosa again to ask why they didn't turn in my doctors diagnosis, which is why I was denied. I was immediately sent to the "GM." After I questioned why didn't they turn in my doctor's notes, he just said, "Sorry," and he then yelled at me as though I were in the wrong!! And said, "We cannot work with YOU." LOL. Turning in your doctor's diagnosis is pretty basic-level legal work, and these people didn't even do that. Don't waste your time here. I fired them within a week and signed up with Rotheshke Law group and it's literally like night and day. My new lawyer is speedy, kind, efficient and actually answers my questions. Completely worthless! Never once spoke to a lawyer. i filed most of my own paperwork due to their lack of competency in staying on top of things. When I got my first denial letter from SSA I waited for THEM to call me and never did. When I called them and was transferred to speak to a "supervisor ", a girl got on the phone and stumbled over stating who she was and what her position there was. And told me they "They" can't file an appeal, because I had to go to work long enough to get insurance to get a surgery, which will atill Have me back not working again very soon...So this company is anything BUT an ADVOCATE for pepole with disability. I am a disabled veteran, I got my first denial letter from SSI and called DAG. At first they were only helpful at the first phone call. After I was enrolled into there service. I never got one phone or email. I had called several times to obtain assistance in how to properly fill out my packet. Not only were they rude they did nothing for me. Every time I tried to get help was was met with rudeness and completely disrespected. After receiving my 2nd denial letter, I looked to see if there had been follow up emails or phone calls. this is the most unprofessional company I've ever delt with in my life. I highly recommend choosing someone else to represent you. I hired them when I was denied for disability the first time. they helped me appeal after that however they lied and said that they got my records. I know they lied because my doctors said they never requested my records. so obviously I was denied again at the fault of disability "advocates" not getting my records and submitting to social security office. I didnt hear from them for close to a year despite emailing them. now my court case is a month away and they STILL have not gotten my records. they don't reply to emails or texts for weeks.. I asked them a couple questions through text and they never replied and then finally I said "hello" and they replied with "hello" and never responded to any of my questions. These people wait till the very last minute to do anything and are extremely rude. They do not get back to people it's a horribly run business and it's almost comical that they call themselves advocates for people with disabilities. my "case manger" never responds to me and then when I finally ask for her manager (twice) she doesn't respond STILL but 2 weeks later he calls me and gives me so much attitude. God forbid I have a problem with them not getting back to me for weeks and not getting my records. Mind you for what was going on I was pretty nice. He just called me with so much attitude and kept cutting me off while I was speaking about what was going on. Raising his voice at me cutting me off with "DO TIU GAVE ANY QUESTION!? ASK ME IF YIU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS" also he said they were busy and have many cases. I replied with "as does everyone else and they manage to get back to people" he then said I could find someone else to represent me. Which I'm glad he did let me know that because I thought it was too late. So now I'm in the process of firing them. These people do not help you and are not advocates for people with disabilities. in fact i very much feel like they tried to take advantage of my mental disabilities. I do feel like I have a much better chance at winning my case without them. If I do hire someone else I will make sure they are kind and professional this time. Also they don't tell you this when you sign up with them but they don't do court cases in person. I felt like they should have let me know that before I signed with them. They only do hearings over the phone. Not even a zoom call, just a phone call. I'm so glad to be rid of these rude people that did nothing for me this last year. Where do I start my first off? They lie on their website they say we're with you every step of the way. Why did you guys lie to Social Security about me if I'm granted the opportunity to sue you for submitting false documents to the Social Security or if I could report you to Social Security for submitting false documents. I would help them out every step of the way for you to lose your business. You are liars. I just talked to my disability advocate today and I told her what happened to what you guys did to me. I even told her to go into the Social Security website and pull the forms that have been submitted in the past I told her you would be baffled by the information that was submitted. I have mixed feelings for this company. my initial dealings weren't great, and I wasn't impressed with all of the paperwork that we had to do. I felt as if we were supposed to do all the work and I wasn't sure what the point of the advocate was. Of course, we haven't had our appeal yet. And now, we are no longer clients. I think it would be fair to say, that you get out of it what you put into it. They left me high and dry. it's been three years since i have applied for SSDI. i rarely hear from them, often calling myself to update my deteriorating condition. i also thought it was strange that no one had called for the updated medical records. Today, out of the blue, I heard from them saying that they had changed the area of service and they would no longer be representing me, only giving me a referral service phone # to try to find another lawyer. on top of this, they hadn't bothered to tell me that I had a tentative date scheduled for January 3. How am I to find a new lawyer, and have all preparations for the hearing done in that short of time. this firm has no integrity to treat their clients like this, just quitting on them like that. they should have at least finished off their cases. I have been out of work for over 3 years now, the savings is gone, credit card debt is unsurmountable. My one hope remaining was SSDI. Obviously, this group doesn't care and has done nothing to get a hearing scheduled. I am beyond devastated! read more
