Effy came out, inspected the damage, and took it from there! What a relief. Effy's a fast talker, and that put me on guard. But I had nothing to worry about. At least not from Effy. He spoke with my insurance company and made sure we were taken care of. Email correspondence was with Sandy at the office. She's awesome. Shout out to her. The guys did a great job cleaning up the mess and fixing the damage done to our basement apartment. There was a bit of a language barrier but...God made a way, lol. Now. The bad. The guys stole from us. I wanted to wait a while before leaving a review to give us time to double, triple and quadruple check and make sure the stuff was actually stolen and not just set aside. My cousin had some painting supplies...gone. Garbage bags and a couple more items...gone. We'd had a jar of coins sealed securely with plastic. After their first day of working, I'd noticed that the plastic had a whole in it. To add insult to injury... One day, they'd ordered a lunch. It was left by my door upstairs. It was from a local restaurant that my child orders from regularly so I thought it was hers and brought it inside. Then, my doorbell rings. I was in another room, so it took me a few seconds to get to the door. As I was approaching the door, it looked like one of the workers was walking along my porch, where he had no business. I didn't think too much of it at first. I got to the door, he'd asked me about the lunch delivery, I apologized and gave it to him... Then I checked our security camera. This mofo was looking in our window. Most people will ring a doorbell, wait a few seconds and ring it a second time. Not this individual. He rang the bell, then moseyed along my porch, put his mug up to my window, and peered in. I shared the video with Effy and asked that he not send that mofo back to my family's house. Then, Effy blamed me. My taking so long to answer the door slowed them down and that's why the mofo was looking in our window. No. He could've/should've just rang the bell again. Where the heck are you from where it's okay to look in people's windows?? Heck outta here. That mofo also tried it when he first arrived in the morning. Fortunately, I was sat near the door waiting for them and caught him before he peered into our window. I'll land my plane here... They do excellent work. But after their five-finger discounts and the whole violation of privacy with that mofo staring through our window, could I recommend them? Not in good conscience. If I recommend them to you and they violate your trust and privacy by taking items that you'd purchased for your own use and peering through your window like they're casing the joint, I'd feel like crap.
