(Roof repair/roof leak/fixing valley) I am sorry that I posted this review late. I promised Bill to post this on 12/8/2021(FYI, I am not getting any discount/money for posting a review). Bill and his crews did a great job of fixing the roof leak! It hasn't been leaking so far after the fix on 12/6/2021. Although they are not the cheapest among the vendors offering to fix the roof, they were very responsive, offered a great quality of work and a 10 years warranty! While all the other contractors I talked to needed at least 2 - 4 weeks before actually fixing it, Bill did the inspection himself and was able to schedule the work in about 3-4 days! His crews, Mario and another man who can't speak much English took just 1 day to install the new valley membrane and finish all the patching. And they cleaned up all the garbage promptly. There were only 2 things I was a little bit concerned about, which Bill promptly and patiently answered. (1) It's a bit cloudy/rainy on 12/6, so I was worried that might affect their work and was wondering if Bill wanted to reschedule. But Bill, based on his experience, assured me that they would be able to finish the work before the rain, and it shouldn't have any impact. (2) It's stated on the contract that the valley roofing material will be "new Firestone roofing with black mineral surface", but eventually what's installed is "Firestone SBS White". Bill explained that the white one would be a better fit because a silver coating is needed for the black one, and with Firestone SBS White, the silver coating is not needed. I am really glad and appreciate that Bill took the time to patiently and promptly address my concerns, and explained everything thoroughly to me! And he is very flexible with the payment methods as well! Overall, Bill and his teams did an awesome job! Thank you very much for the hard work! I can't say enough good things about Bill White Roofing! Their customer service was absolutely amazing. They came out the same day, went up on the roof, and quickly identified a small hole that two other companies completely missed. Both of those companies quoted me around $2,500, saying I would need to remove fascia and gutters--without even inspecting the roof properly. Bill White Roofing was honest, straightforward, and saved me from unnecessary work and costs. It's so refreshing to deal with people who truly care about doing the right thing. The process was like watching a Spielberg movie as his team of 8 men removed an enormous pitched roof and gutters and then installed new everything. They started with huge drop tarps to surround and protect the house and property. Then the amazing removal of the old shingles. True to Mr. White's words, this team has been together for many years. There is no other way the removal and replacement would have been done so expediently and professionally in one day, then a full inspection the next day. Bill came around to give us a quote and was very good at explaining the work that needed to be done. He recommended removing all layers rather than a band-aid solution that would hurt us later on in the future, and he pointed out two problem spots that he was pretty sure had water intrusion and would need the wood replaced. Bill gave us a quote, and I asked, what would happen if he discovered more work needed to be done, i.e. what if the entire roof needed to be replaced. He said it wouldn't be fair for him to open up my roof and then later try to charge me more. I appreciated that policy and trusted his workmanship and decided to go with him. It turns out, that was quite a bit of water intrusion and sure enough all of the wood needed to be replaced. Also, the wood rot was so bad, a piece ended up falling through and breaking through the bathroom ceiling. True to his word, they replaced the whole roof, repaired the bathroom ceiling, and left a gallon of white paint to retouch the ceiling. And they also made a new hatch door that now fits snugly over the hatch. And the invoice remained the same as his original quote. Bill is a trustworthy guy who will do a good job. He stands by his roof work for 12 years. If he's still in the business 12 years from now, I will probably reach back out to him. Picture below of before and after. read more

We priced out a bunch of places but ended up going with Bill White Roofing because they were so professional and prompt. We realized as things progressed that that was just the beginning. The guys running the team were great, the team as great. They went above and beyond what they said they'll do and the kicker: THEY KEPT ON THEIR TIMELINE. They were there when they said they were and they finished when they said they would. From start to finish work was done exactly as discussed. I can't say that about many places but I can say that about these guys. They do roofs and they do roofs amazingly. So nice to find a company that believes their word is their bond. I treasure that. I manage my mom's house in Flushing, NY from NJ and luckily found this company when she had a leak in her roof. They fixed it reasonably and gave us a 3 year warranty. After yesterday's storm we had a small issue with a leak again. I called and luckily they were nearby. Even during Covid-19, Bill was professional and responsive. We practiced social distancing with the estimate and even the work done. I had a leak in my slate roof and went on Yelp to get some quotes for roof repairs. Bill White called me back on behalf of Charles Stewart Roofing. He set up an appointment to come by to take a look and give me an estimate. It turns out that Bill White and his business partner (also named Bill) are related to Charles Stewart and also have their own roofing company (Bill White Roofing). I mostly dealt the Bill White, so I'm posting this review under both companies. When the Bills came by, they gave me an estimate of how much it would cost to repair, as well as the price to replace the entire roof as it seemed like the aging roof was having more and more problems. They were very professional and never pushy and made sure to spell everything out so that there'd be no surprises once things began. In terms of pricing, their prices were fair. It wasn't the cheapest quote I received, but having been burned by a number of contractors in the past, I've learned that cheap prices get you cheap work. I hired them to replace the entire roof, and they had the job completed in a few days time (less than a week!). I think the best testament I can give is the fact that I hired them again to repoint the house. Again, the job was done well and done quickly. Any issues I had were dealt with immediately. They even came by on a weekend to make sure it got resolved right away. I only wish they also did electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. They would be my go-to guys for all things house related. read more

I had leaky roof on half my house , back dormered half would leak any time it would rain.Had bill and his crew replace 2 leaky skylight they had to replace 6 sheets of Plywood cause last guy never replaced old plywood. They put down thick 5/8 plywood down where it was needed..tear down old roof .they put down ice and water damm shield . We have a great experience with Bill White Roofing. We hired them to replace my old roof, gutters and leaders. As a smart home owner should do, I had 4 roofing estimates from different accredited contractors before choosing Bill White Roofing. Bill replied to our request in a timely fashion. He was very courteous, easy to deal with, and explained everything to our inquiries very well. At first we were skeptical when he did not return at the end of the first work day to check the work done by his crew. We did not realize that he has a lead person to oversee the work. We have an issue of a leak and that is the main reason why we replaced our old roof. On the last day of work, Bill together with his family worked with the crew to finish the job. We were more than pleased to see that they meticulously check everything and even went above and beyond their work scope. They notice a gap hidden behind our chimney and they fixed it for free. I noticed I had shingles missing on my roof on Easter Sunday. I put out a quote request. Bill White responded immediately and we communicating throughout the day. His quote was extremely fair considering the other quotes given to me by others who were trying to take advantage of the fact that we are going through an epidemic and raising their prices. Some companies were even closed due to the virus. I am very thankful that Bill's business was still operating and he was fair. The best part of all this is the work. It was completed quickly and looks great! Bill even collected the loose shingles flying around on the roof from the wind damage. He arrived within the timeframe he gave me and was courteous and we completed our transaction over the phone. I called this company asking for a quote on either a repair or replacement of my roof. When I got a call back, the owner said he wouldn't be able to come by for a few days and he would call me back to arrange an appointment to see my roof. So when he did call back again in a few days, he asked me questions about if other contractors had come by, the things they said about the condition of the roof and if I liked any of them. Well, I answered his questions, but only vaguely, as I didn't see the point of his questions. I mentioned to him that it doesn't really matter what they said, I wanted him to give me his opinion. He kept asking more questions until I finally stopped him and asked why he was asking, he needs to see for himself. Then he said that he just didn't want to waste anybody's time and wanted to know what he would be facing. Mind you, this was probably going to be a big job as I already told him that it was recommended to me by the others that the entire roof would probably need to be replaced, not just a small repair. So I told him just come to see my roof himself. But he said to go ahead and look for someone else, saying he's busy or something. But we never even mentioned scheduling or when it was needed. Is he ALWAYS busy? So bypass this company since they clearly don't need the business. And if that's their attitude, don't expect a good job if they don't care about your business. read more

I've been meaning to write a review for a while. Our home had a very poorly installed skylight replaced by Bill White Roofing. We had a pretty serious leak from the skylight which caused some damage to our walls. We also had our roof coated. The company was punctual, courteous, quoted us a reasonable price, and did very good work. We had the new skylight installed about two months ago and we haven't had a problem since.
