I brought my car in for grinding brakes and was initially told the front brakes were fine and that the rear brakes needed replacement. I paid for the rear work, but the grinding continued. When I returned two days later, I was told the front brakes were the real issue and needed to be replaced at a higher cost, and that I may have damaged them in the short time since the previous visit. The shop later called, apologized, admitted they had made a mistake on the original diagnosis, and worked with me to rectify the situation. They have always been polite, and this experience showed they are willing to stand by their work and be honest when something goes wrong. They recommended to replace 2 catalytic converters several months ago, approximately a 4,000 dollar repair. We were skeptical since the car ran fine, but a sensor was lit up. Turns out the converters were fine, sensor turned off on its own. The sensor light was the result of bad gasoline, once that cleared out the light went off. We researched failures of catalytic converters and the failure rate on modern cars. This is a rare event according to the major manufacturer of converters. We were really disappointed in this very expensive recommendation, as this business had great reviews. read more

They told me there was still plenty of pad left and the noise was essentially due to dust. They cleaned everything up put it back together and neither car has made a sound sense. I made the mistake of sending my wife in to have service work done after speaking to someone on the phone and felt I had found a place that I could trust. The $109 oil change and alignment was a huge scam. I have a diesel Jeep Grand Cherokee so I always make sure I provide the oil filter. It turns out that the Jeep didn't need any aligent work so the inspection was $85. The oil change labor was $12.50 and the oil was $129.44. YES, $129.44 for the oil for my diesel engine and disposal charge. They charged $98.06 for brake pad replacement when I provided the brake pads. The per axle charge was $158 for changing the pads (I provided at no cost to the shop) and turning the rotors. $346 in labor to service my brakes is nothing short of outrageous $227 for an oil change and to check the alignment when advertised as a $109 special is fraudulent and why I am taking the time to write this review. Buyer beware...I will never bother doing business with Discount Brake and I would suggest you get an estimate before you proceed with any work read more

Affordable and Responsive Called early afternoon and they were able to get me in that day. Brought my daughter's 2003 Ram 1500 in to get some work done on front suspension. Price was reasonable and what I expected. I mentioned I found them because of YELP and that there was a $10 coupon on YELP for mentioning it. The service writer said she could do better than that! Left the truck overnight. The next day service writer gave me almost 10% discount! Again, parts and labor were reasonable and what I expected so the discount was a pleasant surprise. Later that evening they called to inform me they had accidentally typed in the amount wrong on the debit machine (transposed two numbers) and that I was overcharged $30. I called about my wife's car (2017 Acura) that we needed the brakes replaced. Told them I have the parts, most shops would not touch if you bring them the parts, the only thing they said was that they could not guarantee the parts. They scheduled me for the next morning. Dropped the car off at 8AM received a call a little after 11am same day that the car was ready. Wow this is my second vehicle they have replaced the brakes on with the same fast and excellent results. Would highly recommend this shop. read more

Had the best auto experience of my 46 years yesterday at Discount Break & Auto Repair. Rita was awesome, working me in for a brake job even through they were busy and showing me the pads ON my car before charging me to replace them. They could have told me that I needed all 4 replaced, like most places would, but she showed me that my back pads had some mileage on them yet. Plus, the place, including the bathroom, is clean and they have this mechanic with OCD who goes around straightening things, not to mention the fabulous couch that reclines in front of a big screen TV. Had I had some wine, I would have stayed there all day. As it was, I was in and out in about an hour. Seriously . . . This is an honest, friendly, hardworking establishment. My 2001 Dodge Dakota was not stopping well, had a soft brake pedal and felt unsafe. Got an appointment with Chris at noon and by 5:20 my truck was ready. My boyfriend insisted I go for a second opinion, and I came here. I showed the estimate and immediately was told one of the services was unnecessary. my family and I have use this business for thirty yrs know. I was 7 when I first went there. Chris runs a very good crew there and has always tried to repair the problem the first time. He will always make recommendations for other repairs if they are warranted but he will never try to sell you someone you don't need, I know because I have check him out with other companies. Had a shutter or vibration in a front left wheel of BMW. Wife said the warning light, that was on stead , began to blink when she was doing a U-turn. The front wheels had lots of brake dust. Took it into their shop and advised them of the issues. They checked it out and stated the front brakes, and Sensors need to be replaced, $400.00 + plus. They called and stated it was ready. Picked up car and check brakes light still on. Returned when they stated the technician needed to use computer to clear code. They then stated they were unable to clear the check brakes light, and the did not need to replace sensor, said it was good. They said to take to dealer for brake (ABS) issue. Left with brake light still on, new brakes and rotors, no new sensor and have to go to dealer for brake issue. read more

They have a big screen TV hanging on the wall with DISH Network, and a Keurig coffee maker with a huge selection of cappuccinos, and coffee (decaf too)!
