I found useful items like silicon mat, trivets, craft supplies, pillows, and miscellaneous items. There's a giant "Do Not Open" sign hanging, but there's a box opening station with knives towards the front of the store where you can open the boxes. Many if not all the items are from Amazon, so you can read the description on the stickers to look up details on Amazon website or app. This was helpful to know more about the item, especially if the box is not opened. None of the items I purchased were damaged or missing pieces. If you come on the last day (Wed. $1), expect to see a crowd of people combing through the bins. You can still find great bargains on the last day, albeit you'll find better items in the beginning of the sale cycle (Fri-Sun). Household items for cleaning or anything else. The prices are cheap for most things. Hispanic and Latino owned business. It mostly caters to this population that lives around here. There's lots of items in Spanish but most are in English too. Find cheap liters of pop for a buck. There's also snacks like big bags of nuts for a dollar or more. Cleaning supplies and other household goods can be found. These are mostly for cooking and kitchens. Credit cards are mostly accepted. It has surprisingly good stuff even though it's cheap. There's a small parking lot but it's shared with a bank so be careful to be in the right spot or you could be towed.

In the men's restroom it's absolutely awful because they have stuff thrown and shoved all over the bathroom and around the corners it seems like it's definitely a fire hazard just walking around. One of the weird things I found was a checkbook from many years ago. Nobody should be selling that that thing needs to be sent to the fire. I'd been in a Big Lots (once before) in Joliet and found the prices to be quite reasonable, but the store kind of dingy and picked over. However, the minute I'd walked into the new Lockport location, I could see that this store was much lighter and better laid out as well. It simply "felt good" to shop there. Plenty of merchandise to cruise through and if you're not careful, you just may find yourself filling up your cart with things you didn't plan on buying beforehand but discover you can't afford to pass up! The employees are a delight to deal with, too, and I've never had a sour experience with any of them, even during the busy holiday season. I can actually say that I enjoy coming here and from time to time, find myself wandering in just to see what's new. Right now, holiday decorations are dramatically discounted, so I know I'll be heading back again real soon. You should, too!

What used to be a Walgreens on Boughton just west of Schmidt Rd is now yet another discount store for Bolingbrookians to enjoy. It's been in business less than six months in a quiet area opposite a defunct Family Video. Walking in, it looks like they have WAY more space than they know what to do with. A few seasonal aisles towards the front couldn't do much to fill up the large empty spaces left by the previous tenants. The tall ceiling and mirrors on the walls (still leftover from when it was a drugstore) make this place feel cavernous and surreal. I will say that this -- or any $1 store -- is the best place to stock up on candy for Halloween. Bags of mini Snickers, Twix, Reeses, Airheads, Blow Pops, everything's only a buck so go crazy. Protip: set aside all the chocolate stuff you like and give the crap you don't want to the trick-or-treaters (I'm told this is "mean" and/or "selfish behavior"). Have to say I'm surprised they decided to open a dollar store so close to two others; there's one 2 miles west on Boughton as well as another one south on RT 53.....also 2 miles away from here.
