Was a little skeptical going with this company due to lack of reviews and no actual job photos but decided to give them a try, especially after 10 quotes from different companies, discount granite was able to get what we wanted within our budget and were a lot cheaper than all the other quotes we received. I called and worked with Ted, he is a really really nice guy who has by far the best customer service I have ever experienced. He goes out of his way to make sure his customers are satisfied and offers suggestions and alternative options to help get within your budget to help you get the kitchen you have been wanting and waiting for. Installers were excellent, very knowledgable and professional. We can't even see or hardly tell where the seams are which is excellent and shows you how good they are. I wanted to redo my kitchen on a tight budget. So I sent an email to discount Granite and Marble . Ted got back to me with in 4 hours and we were in talks about the countertops. I sent him my drawing and he sent me back a quote within and hour. There was no hassle and he even came in under my budget. Anyways I am super pleased we chose to go with DGM . Ted came out and remeasured all my measurements we spoke about concerns. Teds customer service is Top notch here compared to any other place you call. Ted day the counters would be ready April 30tj and would only take one day and he stuck to his word. We did not have to live without a kitchen for a week. The install guys were all very nice and courteous , they immediately got to work and got things moving. Only thing that I was unhappy with was the guys that were cutting sanding the wood and granite I wish they would have let me know that there would be sanding next to our freshly washed car. When they left the car was covered in dust lol. No harm no foul. Oh and our hose mysteriously had a hole in it the next day like when the water is on and the hose burst. Well that happened. But I can't blame them as I have no proof. They cleaned all there mess in the kitchen and took all the trash with them ... A+ for me guys Update Ted called me back after seeing about the car and offered to cover the washing on it and to cover the hose. Neither was a big deal to me so as I said before no harm no foul. read more

So it has been several months since my last update. At this point I wish I could give negative 10 stars!! There has been NO change, Ted still doesn't seem to care that my materials were "lost" there was a very small discount applied to the final job (not even worth it) only for yet another of his crew to damage more of my existing cabinets. Ted pretended to care about the damage but after several more emails he still never showed up to look at the damage that I am now left with. Needless to say, I will be filing a complaint with the State Contractors Board because of this mess. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO MY WORST ENEMY LET ALONE A FRIEND. BOTTOM LINE IF YOU WANT CHEAP, SHOTTY WORK THAT LEAVES YOUR HIME DAMAGED THEN THIS IS THE COMPANY FOR YOU & YOU'RE GOING TO GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I worked with both Daniel and Ted from discount granite to have the counters in my kitchen and bathroom redone. Daniel came out to the house and was very knowledgeable and upfront. He provided a quote which was the same as another company that I had bid. I went with discount cause Daniel seemed to really know the product and he did not try to up sell anything. We picked out our granite at a local yard at the direction of Daniel. It was easy and straightforward. A few days later the crew came to demo and install. Ted was at our home to supervise and assist the crew. During the demo Ted discovered that a section of my cabinets was not secured to the wall making it difficult to remove the old counter with out damage. Ted and the guys took their time and did not rush causing no damage to the cabinets. The demo which was quoted as taking 2 hours but took about 4. Ted then took the time to square and attach the cabinets properly. I was worried that they may rush since they were behind schedule due to the demo, but that was not the case. The took their time and made multiple small cuts and adjustments to the granite to make sure it fit together perfectly. I was home during the install and was impressed with how much time they put into the shimming and exact leveling that they did. Ted and his crew did not finish the counter install until after 7pm. Never once did I get the impression it was because of anything other than their determination to install the countertops correctly. During the demo of the old counters there was drywall damage where the old backsplash had been attached. The new backsplash is lower so some of the patch work is visible. Ted had another guy come out a few days later to patch and texture. The result was impressive and you can not tell that large sections of drywall were replaced. Two days later Ted came back with his guys to ensure the backsplash was installed and we were happy with the result. The crews were constantly cleaning up and placing barriers to protect the rest of my home. Needless to say we were very pleased with the quality of work, the price and the customer service provided by Ted, Daniel and all the guys from Discount granite. read more

This has been the best experience for me. We purchased a home that had a very outdated kitchen and was looking to have counter tops installed. We were not sure what type of material we would need but after taking to Ted he was very helpful in educating us on the difference between granite and quartz. We ended up going with quartz. He was also great on helping us pick out a great color that also fit in our budget and also a kitchen sink. We ended up having a bathroom vanity top installed as well. I still haven't received my quote and it's been 12 days. No email, no text, no phone call. Very unprofessional!
