He's a typical Florida salesman that takes NO RESPONSIBILITY for things done wrong every step of the way. This is a guy that talks over you on the phone.. hang up on you if you complain... he plays it like he's the victim and he feels threatened.. the only threats were from Steve and secretary with the rotten teeth blowing up my phone the following day to collect money $$.. It's funny how as soon as I posted my review, Coastline quickly made their Bio on Yelp sound great. Problem solver? Really? There was a pool leak at the return line after this job was finished. Red Rhino determined that It was caused by the chip out. I ended up paying $600 for the repair, and Steve refuses to reimburse... this is something so simple and to do the right thing... Steve states that his company came out and found no evidence of a pool leak. Really?! When?! I have 24 hour video surveillance. Coastline never checked! I hired a "Contractor" to fix the upper part of my pool. He's not a fence guy. Regardless of who I used, Coastline did work after, with zero communication and filled in as little Diamond Bright as they could to save money. Steve likes to harp on that, and it's not even mentioned in my review.. I made ONE tile color change BEFORE my project even started. Of course Coastline delivered the WRONG original tile I picked. Steve blames the customer. Just one of the many, many mistakes made.. Maybe you shouldn't take in so many jobs at the same time and actually supervise what's going on! Steve would rather argue with his customers here on Yelp, rather than try to resolve any issues and pay what he owes for the repairs. He's a real class act

Immediately floors and…read moresides of pool were stained after they filled my pool with city unfiltered water from my garden hose. His contract states " fill with pre-filter city water to ensure against staining". When I contacted Steve, who was not around to supervise and told him about the dark stains in my new pool, he came looked at it, would not take responsibility and walked away, paid in full Over time, the pool has continued to deteriorate. Stains got darker and Diamond Brite started to wear away and chip because it was not applied thick enough. I asked Steve Schaefer, Coastline Pools to please come and look at the pool. He spent a few minutes, reluctantly, would not answer my questions, was rude and walked away telling me to contact SGM (Diamond Brite supplier). SGM came and inspected my pool. We talked about the poor workmanship. Their report states, "delamination of the surface, pool material not applied to correct thickness, and molting. Complaint resolution: REDO POOL " SGM is an outstanding, professional company that honored their warrantee. They supplied materials at no cost for the job to be done again. SGM contacted Steve Schaeffer, Coastline Pools to resurface my pool. I received a sloppy unprofessional, hand written proposal from Steve, "install warranty material at cost. COD". If this is an indication of this company's service/work , why would I have them return?? There was no remorse or follow up to remedy my problem until SGM stepped in and contacted him. I learned my lesson and hired a professional company paying full price to re-Diamond Brite my pool the correct way. Look at the images of my pool Steve Schaeffer, Coastline Pool Service left me with. So today I pushed myself to do it but after the work was done the motor was running 2 minutes and stopped again and again. I texted Vincent for help and after several exchanges of texts and pictures he suggested that it was a problem with the voltage. I was sure that my timer was on 110 !! After checking , sure enough it was 250 V... so I put back the switch of the motor to 220 and voila it worked !! New Image built my pool about 5 years ago and its still running great. I had an issue with the pool…read morepump after a year and they swapped it out under the warranty with no issues. Mike Bonneville was my Sales Rep and he did a great job of telling me what to look for in a pool installer so I don't end up getting scammed or fooled in to something I didn't know I didn't want. An example is brick pavers. He warned me most S FL pools have the same brick pavers as the driveway because the original housing developer saved money and used extra bricks from the driveways or just ordered an extra pallet to save costs. Those bricks get HOT under the Sun and your kids will have to run across it to jump in the pool. An easy test is to try to walk barefoot across your driveway on a hot sunny day at 2pm to get your mail. New Image uses travertine tile at no additional cost. Kids can walk all over them all day long and it never burns. Other extras these guys added in a whole piece of stone for my jacuzzi overflow. I included a picture and it looks great. They also cut the bricks instead of using whole pieces and oversized mortar joints. I also included a picture. The entire pool coping edge is perfectly level. When it pours rain or if I purpose flood my pool, the water doesn't pour out in one spot, it evenly crests all around. This is NOT an easy task to do. The other cool feature I have that my friends pools does not is a drain hole just under the coping in the deep end. I'm not sure if this is a new code, but it saves me the time to have to drain the pool when it over fills from storms. Other people have to drag out a drain hose and hopefully don't forget and lower it too much. I don't have to do anything. About a day after the heavy rain stops, the water level returns to just below where the drain hole is. I would have have recommended New Image to friends and one other person did use them and she was also very happy with her new pool.
