Made an appointment and I was over an hour early; however, I got checked in as I was going to just drop off the truck. Tony M. greeted me the moment I walked in, inspected the tire in question and saw that I had two screw in one tire and one screw in another. He assured me that he will text me once they inspected all the tires. It resulted that one tire could not be repaired and had to purchase a new one. He told me they couldn't get the tire to their location by closing time so I would need to come back the next day. They put on the spare for me so I can have some transportation and said he will call me when my new tire came in. Tony M. kept his word and called me the next morning and said they wouldn't need more than 20 minutes. I came back to the store and he greeted me right away, pulled my truck into the bay, replaced the spare tire, and put the spare tire back in it's place, and I was done within 10 minutes. We took our Jeep Grand Cherokee in for a tire rotation. James checked the wear on the tires and discovered one was showing more wear and couldn't be rotated. We brought up the subject of replacing the entire set. James showed us two comparable brands and showed different qualities for both. Based on our driving history and needs, both James and his manager recommended the set that saved us a significant amount of money. We decided on that brand of tire but there was only one in that store. He went immediately to get 3 more from a different location so we could get them today. In mounting the tires, one was out of alignment and the lug nuts needed replaced. He called us to verify that we wanted them to correct the issues. I had an issue with the TPMS light in my 2014 Tundra. Went by asking for help. Fortunately for me the Assistant Manager Tony Martinez was the employee that offered to assist me. I explained the issue to Tony who without hesitation jumped in to help. After over 30 minutes of work, including him calling for technical assistance from the company that makes the scan tool, he kept at it until corrected. I offered to pay for the service and all he wanted was for me to come back next time I needed tire service. Tony did an outstanding job, and clearly this location cares about its customers. these guys are super quick and sweet. we got new tires and had them install them today and had a bunch of warnings pop up on the dash and they fit us back in IMMEDIATELY. Up in my neighborhood there is much new construction. I picked up a nail and had a slow leak. Went here to determine that the tire could not be patched and need to be replaced. Nail was in soft spot where tread meets the side tire, only visible from the under the car side. Chris P. was my technician and did a super job finding my specialty Pirelli radial tires and installed it in a short period of time and got me on my way. Thanks Chris P. Super job! Well, who would have thought that I could be so lucky to pick up another nail, but on another tire 3 weeks later, so that would need another new tire? Yup, it happened. I should buy a lottery ticket. Needed tires all around and after shopping around went to this location and as soon as I drove up I was met by a young man who was welcoming and had me park and then escorted me right inside the entrance. Told him what I needed and we priced tires and he even went to the back brought me up the tire I selected so that I could see the thread. The price was very competitive with the two worthless stores I mentioned in the beginning of my vent. Listen people save your time and money going all over the place and just go to the nearest Discount I chose this location and will be coming back. My back passenger tire had a bulge. The first Discount tire in Rio Rancho sent me on my merry way Monday with it like this and I noticed this afternoon when getting gas. Went to a different location and the manager was like, umm..you hit a pothole and have a leak. I don't know how the other store missed this but you need a new tire. We go inside for a quote, I have a Subaru. All 4 tires must be replaced to keep my car warranty. He said, well I have good and bad news. You do need 4 tires, good news is you bought tire insurance when you got these tires 2 years ago. That covers the bulging one. Then because the first store screwed up, he covered a second tire. Then gave credit back for the other tires because I didn't get to use their full life. Because of my day job good tires are a must for me (I lead hikes, backpacking, etc.). I go with Pirellis because they are good tires, worth the cost to me. The manager Luke is top notch and this place had me in and out with 4 new tires in 20 minutes. read more

Can't say enough about what great customer service I received last week! I was having a shaking/vibration in my Kia Sorrento and had all tires balanced but this continued. I took to my car to the Kia dealership I had been going since I bought it and told them what was going on. I left it there and after a few hours they called and said they needed to balance all tires and if that didn't work they would do an alignment and if that didn't work I must have a bent rim! I had already told them I had just had all tires balanced and that I knew it wasn't an alignment problem. So they wanted to do at least 2 or 3 different procedures that I would have to pay for! I declined because I didn't have any faith that they even knew what they were doing! I picked up my car and ending up paying $85.00 for them to diagnose nothing! I then took it to Discount and my husband explained to Chance what was happening and he said he would personally see what was going on. He immediately diagnosed the problem. One of my tires was more worn that the other 3 due to them replaced and with an all wheel drive vehicle it caused the problem. (Seems every time I get a flat it's in the side wall ) Even though I ended up having to buy 4 new tires and it was cheaper than a bent rim we kind of thought was the problem (my rims cost $600.00 plus a new tire) it took care of the problem and my car is perfectly fine! I came in here 1 hour til closing time expecting to either get told "no, we can't get you in today" or to have to wait a couple hours for the service to be completed. I ordered tires and they were put on and ready go within a half hour flat. I will say that the price is a bit steep, but overall the service here is top notch. Been buying tires from Discount Tire for years, always received good service but none better than today! Recently bought a set of BFGs KO 2s for my 2001 Chevy 2500 4x4. For some reason tired never rode nice. Only have about 2,000 miles on them. At about 45 and 70 mph tires would vibrate. Took my truck in to 3 different Discount Tire shops and although each attempted to correct it wasn't until today that Mike Barela took care by replacing the tires. As the first yelper said, yes they will go for the (quasi-hard) sell, but I was quite pleased with the whole experience. went in to get two used tires, as mine were pretty much shot, but still had maybe a few thousand left on the fronts....ended up giving me $33 credit, per tire, for my old ones, which reduced my out the door price for new x-type Goodyears to $391. Not too shabby for a Subaru Outback, especially considering I paid over $600 for my previous set of Michelin tires. Was out the door in well under an hr, and everyone was quite pleasant to deal with. I had this Discount tire store remove my two rear hybrid tires and put my street radials on for an out of town trip. When I came back, the man who claimed to be the manager said he couldn't legally put my hybrids back on because they didn't have enough tread. He completely ignored the wear bars that show I have about 30% wear left. So, either he's ignorant about these tires,(which I purchased at this store), or, he is just a liar. I believe the latter. These Nitto tires are made to look like they do and I do not "burn rubber'. They only had 10,000 miles on them. This "manager" was just trying to sell me $900.00 worth of tires I don't need. In 40+ years I have purchased 1 tire at other than Discount. I have 4 vehicles that will never have another discount tire on them. read more

Luckily I was less than a mile from this place when my tire went flat. Tanner checked me in. He also checked my tires and let me know the tread was good. Super helpful and courteous. Oscar found the nail in my tire and patched it. Then he checked the pressure on the tires that weren't flat. There was hardly any wait at all. They were so friendly, and refused to take my money!
