I rarely write reviews, but this experience pushed me to it. Came in for a tire rotation, spare, and new windshield wipers. Was told 1.5 hours -- it took over 2 hours and 15 minutes. When I finally got in my car, the alignment was still off AND the wipers were never replaced. They asked me to come back first thing the next morning to make it right. I showed up when they opened, was the first customer helped -- and now I'm being told there's a car ahead of mine and it'll be another hour and a half. How is that possible when I was first in the door? Two visits, same poor communication, same wasted time. I won't be back. read more

On the phone I scheduled a winter tire change and then alignment. I came to the shop and found out that the line for alignment was too long. I did get the winter tires. They installed one of the tires backwards ie. the rotation is in the wrong direction and filled the tire pressures wrong. read more

They are turning into a bunch of crooks...My tires have tons of tread left and they are telling me that they will not fix a flat because there is not enough tread... Are you F'ing kidding me... Had a flat that needed repair- called ahead to check availability and Sebastian was super friendly! Got me in quickly, and when my tire needed replacement rather than repair- it was covered under my warrenty! They put my spare on, reset all my over-overtightened lug nuts so that ill be able to change it myself next time, and ordered the tire which will be in soon! Terrible, I stopped in to get a puncture fixed, they (I believe his name was Alex) told me he wouldn't fix it because the tread was so bad. Went next door to Big O Tires and they told me I definitely had more life in my tires. I used to work with mechanics so I could tell they were trying to upsell me to buy new tires and I'm extremely glad I left. I would not recommend going here. First & last time going to discount tire. I would like to at least recognize Connor who assisted me initially. I booked an appointment for a tire inspection/wheel alignment. Alignments are a walk-in service at this location. After an hour, Tony ( the general manager) called my name & stated he would like to show me what was going on with my car. He stated due to my tires condition they would not be able to complete the alignment today & showed me what they noticed. His reasoning was valid & I took no issue with that at all. He then proceeded to focus on one of my rear tires stating the "spare" tire I was riding on was not good. I advised him that I had recently had a flat tire and took it to a nearby used tire shop & had it replaced. I showed him where my actual spare tire was located on my car. He proceeded to try & argue with me that I was wrong & that was an old tire from 2004 (?) & that there's no way that is not the spare because of my hubcaps. He then asked if I would like a quote on a new set of tires, I obliged. We went back to the counter & as he was giving me the quote, he STILL continued to INSIST that was my spare & he found it hard to believe that they replaced my tire with that one saying it was old. I paid for the wiper blades that I did need. That whole interaction turned me off from ever retuning. You would think the general manager would be focused on gaining business instead of trying to debate the customer. I will be purchasing my tires & getting the repairs I need elsewhere. read more

This was terrible. We checked in at 9:35 for a 9:45 appointment and JUST started talking with employees at 10:30. Employees flat out lied to us about timing and availablity. We booked and appointment and purchased tires A MONTH ago and the tires aren't if in stock!!! We we're waiting there for hours and we still haven't gotten ANY progress. Absolutely terrible. The staff is amazing, very helpful and always looking at making things better for customers to save us money! I got the warranty on my tire purchase in 2022 for the front tires and beginning of 2023 for the back. When I went in for a slow leak on the front drivers side, they informed me the tread was no longer safe on both front tires. Since I bought my tires there they were only going g to charge me the price of one tire instead of two, but because I have the warranty I only paid $14.95 for both tires! I came here with my mothers car because of warranties on the tires through discount tire. They did not have the correct tire in stock and said they could have the tire in the same day. I asked them to please call my phone rather than my stepfathers phone (on the account) because he is out of the country. They assured they would call MY phone the same day when the tire was in. I never got a call. I called this morning. The tire has been in- they'd been trying to call my step father's phone- the number I told them not to call. I gave them my cell phone number "uhh no, that number belongs to **** ... no. It's my number and I gave it to you yesterday. Can I come get the tire put on?" Sure come on in we will get you taken care of" I come in, *confusion all over the place* then - can you just leave the car with us? It's going to 1.5-2 hour wait MINIMUM. No. I have nowhere to go. Nobody to pick me up. But I can't keep driving on the spare SO I'll wait even though I have 4 other things I'm supposed to be doing and this was supposed to be done yesterday if you had called THE CORRECT PHONE NUMBER. I had a flat that Big O Tires took 5 hours to repair and could not fix, that is when I bought it to Discount Tires and was so happy when they fixed it only to find out it was flat again the next morning. Now they're claiming they fixed it but as I was sitting around waiting for my car they never told me it was ready so I had to find out 45 minutes after it was done. Save yourself some time and heartache and don't go to either. Was trying to give them two stars but how to change it to 1 because when I went outside my car was parked behind an 18-wheeler making some kind of delivery in their yard and I couldn't leave the doctor sitting there and enjoying watching myself die sooner 45 minutes later for no reason whatsoever then they go and decide to jam my car behind an 18-wheeler so that I can't leave. Finally when I got home I realized they pushed my car seat back into the flat folding space in my rear of my car and crammed my windshield fluid upside down into it with the seat getting pushed back all the way, thereby breaking it open and leaking liquid all over the inside of my car. I made an appointment last Saturday to get my snow tires changed over and had several issues that made this a negative experience: - Despite having an appointment I had to wait over an hour before they started on my car and it was there over 2 hours total. The check in people were nice and thanked me for my patience so if that wa the only problem I wouldn't be leaving a negative review - A few minutes after leaving my tire pressure monitoring system dinged saying that 2 of the wheels were 7 PSI below the recommended pressure. I didn't have time to turn around and go back but when I later went to another discount tire they confirmed they were under-inflated - When I got home I realized one of the rims was kind of bulging and there was a visible metal piece that wasn't visible on the other ones (see photo). The person I went to at another discount tire said it shouldn't have been installed this way with the weight on the outside and it could have broken the rim. Also why would they do one differently from the other 4? - When I stopped by another Discount Tire a few days later to add air to the tires with low pressure they found in a nail in one of them causing a slow leak. While it's possible this happened after I left the first place, it seems suspicious given how little driving I did and if the nail was in there when they installed the tire they should have noticed - After the initial checkin the communication was not good. They had me pull the car into the bay which was fine but then I wasn't clear if I should give them the key or how I would know when the car was done. I ended up standing awkwardly in the parking lot until I could see it was finished then I had to find someone to ask how and where I pay (which was inside, I just wasn't sure due to COVID). Came to this location visiting from Houston and bought all 4 new tires. Wait time was a little over 2 hrs which was making me a little impatient already since I had plans that night. Once my turn finally arrived all the employees express lack of communication and were on their phones most of the time, they didn't even tell me if I was done. About 10 mins in I realized something was off I could just feel it in the car. Turned out I had a loose lug nut, which I tightened myself. Vehicles still feels off and I'm already on route back to Houston (16hr drive). I was on out-of-towner in a VW camper van, visiting Denver, when I discovered I needed new tires. I decided to buy from Discount Tire on Federal, having the tires shipped there in advance of my arrival in Denver. I do all my own work on my cars, so I am weary of anyone else working on my vehicles. My expectations are low. If you are reading this, you've probably already seen the five star rating I gave this place. They surprised me and gave me hope for the future. The positives started when DT called me the day after my order, to confirm my appointment and ask questions. I liked that! On the day of my appointment, there was space in the bay and my tires were ready. They had the proper torque values and inflation pressures on the installer's worksheet. I watched with satisfaction as the men in the bay carefully used jacks (my van cannot be placed on a lift) to raise the van and change out my tires. I looked on with happiness at the proper use of a torque wrench to tighten my lug nuts. In summary, these folks did everything right, and they deserve to be recognized for it.
