I hit a pothole traveling east on Hampden Avenue earlier this week. There was a loud bang! and when I looked at my right front wheel later, I could see that it was bent. A bubble test showed that there was a leak and the air pressure went from 38 to 26 in a few hours time. I could still drive the car if I pumped up the right front tire every day. I got some great advice to take the car to Woody's Wheel works. They were able to repair the wheel today. The bent wheel is straight now and so far is holding Air pressure nicely. Went to pick up his wheels. Two other customers getting their quote and order in. The parking lot is minuscule and there is some street parking but it's usually busy. With the other two people the lot was crowded but we squeezed in. Sat on the bench and waited. The associate was cheerful and friendly. He grabbed his wheels and brought them out. Are you kidding me? After being involved in a motorcycle accident a year ago due to tire issues, I'm super paranoid about tire safety. I know it's ridiculous, but I am. I no longer ride because of the accident, but my man still does. When it came time to replace his tires, I wanted to make sure they were installed by a pro, were done right, and were safe. My guy bought his tires online--he researched the best ones for his bike. He made an appointment at Woody's, which has been rated super well. So safe, right? And bringing your own tires in for installation is something they do on the regular. So when we get the call two days after installation that they not only installed the WRONG tires, but that they're the WRONG SIZE tires, I'm livid. That's somebody's life and safety on the line. It's now the weekend, it's gorgeous, my guy wants to ride, but can't because you effed up his tires. Jesus, people. Get it together. You're not flipping burgers back there. Bent two m5 rims. Website said $100 flat to straighten a rim. I got charged $165 for each wheel plus a "dismount" charge to remove the tire from the wheel, a charge to remount and balance the tire and a charge to clean up the fix-a-flat I'd put in one rim. I dropped the rims off on a Monday. The lady said they would be done Friday afternoon. Come Friday, no phone call, I had to call an harass them to see if they were done. When I picked them up the rims were FILTHY!! Obviously no clean up had been done. Lady at the counter gave me attitude the whole time upon pick up even after paying $430. They got the job done but the cost was outrageous and the service was mediocre. EDIT: After the owner read this review he called me and discussed what happened and why I was unsatisfied with the shops service. Apparently the sassy lady behind the counter is gone and he decided to refund me $100 because I was unhappy with my experience. Wasn't happy with the service first time around, but he made it right after hearing about my bad experience. read more

Edit: So I did update this review to 3/5 stars due to Woody's making it right. However, Woody himself just called my work to complain about my negative review and how he "didn't deserve" that. I asked him what he thought his shop deserved for the service I received, and he couldn't tell me. I can't have business owners calling me at work to harass me about online reviews, so I'm taking this one down to 1 star. --------------------------- So Woody's made it right, and refunded the labor after they swapped the correct tires onto the bike. In fact, they also noticed my taped-on license plate and bolted it onto my bike at no charge and without asking, which bumps it up to 3/5 stars. It was still a huge pain in the butt, but at least it was resolved with little drama. read more

I did 7,000 miles on my Honda cbr600 going to California from New Jersey and back home. By the time i hit Kansas going into Colorado, i had a big problem, the wires started showing on my back tire. I got a quick quote for repair which was reasonable but then they looked up a used wheel for me at a salvage yard, found the part and printed the part/shop info out for home, put my wheel back in the car and told me they'd be there if I decided on repair. I called the store before I came in and was informed that if I bring in my wheel I can have the tire changed out within an hour or two, but when I showed up I was told by a different employee that it "might be done today, but maybe tomorrow". I was a bit disappointed at first because I was mis-informed but I agreed, hoping that the tire would be changed within the day. A few hours later I called back to inquire about the wheel and was told that the work order stated that it was scheduled for tomorrow. I explained the issue and the employee quickly apologized for the miscommunication and changed to work order so that my tire would be changed within the day. Great customer service and amazing work. When I picked up the wheel I couldn't locate the damaged section as it was complete gone. They were very professional when I dropped off the wheel and picked it up. These guys rule!!! As the other review says forget the dealers these guys know their s$&t. Had a dealer put new MX tires on for me and when I returned found out that the rear rim was cracked. They didn't even call me to ask if I wanted it replaced. I asked them why and they said they knew I was in a hurry. They also put new spokes on and didn't true my wheels. All of this after going to the dealer 3 times because they couldn't manage to get everything ordered the first time. Took my now even more messed up bike to Woody's and they did everything they said they would and then some...even checked my front disk and straightened it for me. Save your time and money and go to these guys. It's hard to find shops that know what they're doing and take care of your bike like its their own. Will be going here from now on and plan to tell everyone at the local MX tracks about them!!!! read more

These guys did an amazing job refinishing my wheels on my Audi A3. My wheels were scratched up and had significant curb damage. They repaired all the damage and powder coated them a dark grey. Best of all, the price was right. I have been procrastinating writing a review for this place, so the following link to the picture of the work is after about six months.
