I have warranties on all my tires I have bought here, along with having a new set of wheels put on with said tires. Somehow I ended up with another nail in my tire, it was the same one as before. Here is where the problem lies: I had a service tech pull my car in. The rim was thrown and tossed around like nothing. The wheels I have my car are aftermarket, not cheap, along with having ceramic coating done. Now, my wheels has scuffs and scratches on the lip with lug holes. The tech did not put a rim protector on before working to patch the tire. So, now I have a wheel that is damaged because of negligence and not proper training. The wheel with ceramic is expensive. If you have nice new wheels and I would watch carefully. Because they will end up damaged here. read more

Watch them CLOSE. They tried to balance a defective tire with 44 weights on my rim and sent me out the door with a "everything balanced out good" reply when I asked. The manager said inexperience was to blame which I can understand. We all start out at one point inexperienced, but normally you have more experienced guys overseeing the new guys (not at this place). Came back and waited another 45 minutes to get the defective tire replaced only to return home and notice a 1 foot long gouge in the side of my vehicle with white paint embedded in the gouge right where the white handled jack was. I have been going to discount tire for many years, probably have at least 25 cars in their system. I tell you what, I am done with the one in Farragut. I took one car in to get new tires, when I left the tire light was on, never happened before. The guy with the man bun, tried to sell all new tps sensors before they even diagnosed what was up with the one. Before that when I brought the tires in to get mounted, he put the road hazard warranty on the tires that I didn't even buy there. When he told me $300 something to get 4 tires mounted, I almost hit the ceiling. That didn't fly, he took that off the bill. I drove off after he tried to sell me all new tps sensors. The manager called me to get me back in because I left mad. He charged me 1/2 off for a new sensor. Next time I was in with a different vehicle with a nail in my tire, Mr. man bun helped me again. He looked up my car and told that I didn't buy the road hazard warranty and that if it can't be fixed I would have to buy a new tire. The nail was in the center of the tire, the tires had 12000 miles, bought from them. Why would he tell me that, does he think this is my first rodeo. I was not going to write this until I went out to my car and found a center cap missing on another car they fixed the flat on. It is a 1973 Mach 1, with Magnum 500 wheels, so you have to get the center cap off from the backside with screws, so you know it wasn't stolen, just not put on properly by Discount. I just never have had such bad service at any other Discount, I'm through with them. Also, just found a weight missing off of another set of wheels they just balanced and mounted last week, the wheels aren't even on the car yet. Yikes! read more

One of the worst experiences with waiting time and communication. I scheduled an appointment a couple days ahead to get 4 new tires put on. Upon arrival they stated it would take about an hour and stated having it aligned would take a little longer. 4 hours later I am leaving. They did not communicate any extra labor needed or cost until time to leave. They stated the technician was supposed to call before making the alignment fix, an extra $200. They apologized, charged me, and sent me on my way. I would not recommend. Shop around and keep in mind they don't value your time and money. read more

By far the best experience we've had buying tires. Had an appointment today for 9:15, arrived at 8:55. Nice young man checked us in immediately (took about 10 minutes) and said the car would be ready around 9:45. They took the car into the bay by 9:10, and it was ready with 4 new tires at 9:24. Location was very clean and well operated. I would highly recommend this location and also purchasing your tires and making an appointment beforehand on the website. I was referred to Discount tire by a family member so I ordered my tires on their website and made an appointment for them to install them at this location. I arrived around ten minutes early and the employee met me outside as I was pulling in the parking spot, they asked if my name was Lori and I replied why yes and they proceeded to tell me my tires were here and welcomed me to the store. They offered us complimentary bottles of water while we waited and sent me a text message to let me know how my vehicle was coming along. It was a very smooth transaction. We couldn't be happier with the excellent customer service and painless waiting time. They had the tires on in less then an hour and we are extremely happy with them. John, the manager made things right by covering replacement of damaged hub/bearings. The underlying problem remains, though, that this sort of damage is often only discovered when something happens when I am on trips a long way from home. The car is unsafe to drive with a damaged hub so I'm forced to source a mechanic that is unknown to me. I am going to revise my prior review. These guys may be good if you KNOW you definitely need new tires and want the cheapest price. However, they are not good for much else. If you have a nail or any tire issue, they will steer you into getting a whole set of tires (particularly if you have AWD). Today, I went to get a tire repair for a nail in my tire tread. It was within the tread; not the sidewall. The guy immediately concludes that I need a new tire because it's supposedly too close to the sidewall. He also claimed that, because it's an AWD, I should get 4 tires. I suspected he was exaggerating...so I left and drove over to Matlock Tire. Matlock evaluated the tire and easily repaired it. Didn't say anything about it being unusual. It was just a normal repair. The work cost me $20. Not as cheap as the "free" repair at Discount Tire. But, the free work obviously comes at a cost. I have been a long-time customer who's purchased numerous sets of wheels and tires over the years without even looking elsewhere; seems like I may have been making a mistake all along. After purchasing a new truck, I called to get a quote on switching rims; I was quoted $136 over the phone. When I arrived for my appointment at the Farragut location, I was told by Bu that switching the tires would cost approximately $180! I advised I was quoted $136 and found the date and time I made the call/received the quote in my phone logs and realized that I called the other store on Kingston Pike. Bu called the store, spoke to a manager and found out they had, in fact, quoted me $136 as they quoted car rims and not truck rims ($7 more/rim for truck rims...18" rim is an 18" rim in my mind but I'm not a tire expert; also confident I told them I had a truck and not a car). I reminded Bu that I was a loyal customer who had purchased a slew of tires and rims over the years and asked if it was possible to simply honor the price I was quoted, $136; I was told it would cost approximately $180. As I had the day off and an appointment, regrettably, I opted to have them do it. For the first time in years, I'm disappointed with Discount Tire as the right thing to do would have been to honor the price I was quoted as a result of their mistake. Seemingly, they've lost site of taking care of (formerly) loyal customers/veterans, owning their mistakes, and forget that doing the right thing is how you build loyalty and keep loyal customers. Quite simply, causing a long-time, extremely loyal customer to look elsewhere over $28 doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I had an amazing experience at Discount Tire all because of the store manager, "Jim H. C." - I came into Discount Tire because I had gotten all my tires from the DT stores in Nashville TN, but I was explaining to Jim that I had just moved, was about to start a new job, and had a 6th month old at home that I was tending to, so I needed to make sure all of my tires were safe. He assured me that I was in the right hands. They took my car back (Acura ILX), and it took them a while to rotate and balance my tires, but also, Jim found a problem with my back right tire (this was the whole purpose of me coming in the store, was to ensure my back right tire wasn't slowly leaking, or I didn't need a completely new tire because I kept having to fill that tire with air, and it was causing our family a lot of headaches). The unfortunate news was I was going to need to replace the tire (that was $157), but Jim showed me that the tire was under their warranty, and he was going to be able to replace the tire for only $52 at cost to me. This was amazing news to myself and my family. I was able to afford my new tire, and I knew that all of my other tires were safe for driving myself and family in. I can't say how much I recommend Discount Tire in Farragut, TN because of their store manager. Great service, and I highly recommend any other new mother's in town to visit this store because they will take great care of your vehicle knowing your situation. They took my information and repaired the tire. I didn't get everyone's nameS but scott checked me out when I left . They have a lot of business..: And it's clear to see why. I was told me they would instead upgrade me to better tires for the same quoted price even though they had both tires in stock. Turned out to be a pretty decent deal. Hey, every nickel counts. Before, I would have swore by this Discount Tire as far as what they were willing to do for you. To be honest, I would say that the experiences have mostly been better than worse. But, one thing is that as a consumer you're optioned to look for good deals. I came in wanting a new set of tires and knowing that Costco gives out good deals once in a while I wanted to leverage that in addition to online pricing. Talking to the rep, they were going to give me all these deals and at the end we decided that it was best to stick to discount tires. I believe they were going to price match the tires along with another sale because it was the holiday and said that they needed to do it when it came in. When I came back in, they said that they couldn't get me the deal and it sort of got me stuck in having to buy from them as I didn't do any more research later on. So that's pretty fucked up in my opinion. You were going to offer me something in person in one day and when I come back to install, you change the price on me. Since writing this review, I remembered the rebate that I submitted along with the tires that I bought. And what would you know... the rebate was never recognized and I never got the rebate back. So much for the deals. I swear I think rebates are the worst and make sure you do your research wisely as this Discount Tires will do anything possible to make you buy new tires every time. read more

I have the tire Warranty for my free tire rotation and balance. I went in because I had a vibration. They said they balanced and rotated my tires. When I was given the keys I asked where the weights were and he said on the inside of the rim. I went ahead and drove home with it vibrating. I called my husband and after he got off work he pulled off the tires which only 1 was balanced with weights on it. The counter guy tried to say maybe the other 3 tires had the weights Fall Off. The weights fell off yeah right. Then some how a SCRATCH ON MY WINDOW TINT when I was given the keys this 2nd time around. There is only myself and him. We did not do it. Before all this I bought 4 Michelin tires and 1 after several months continued to go flat. Finally I took it in for them to look at and was told I curbed my rims because who I bought it from they were like that. Finally my husband put soapy water on it and found the nail and I took it back and had to argue alittle but it did get fix. I know how to drive and I am very observant. I worked as an Corrections Officer and I worked for Loomis driving, servicing ATM's and handling money. I pay attention. It was my first time coming here, but a friend recommended the place to me. I waited about a month or two after my services to write my review just to make sure everything seemed to hold up. I called them because I had a slow leak in one of my tires and I wanted an estimate on how much it would be to patch it, and they said it was free! I heard that was true for another location, but I just wanted to verify that it was true here too. So I drove over and the wait was a little longer than they said it'd be. But they had a nice waiting area with cold drinks, or you could sit and watch them fix your car through the window. It turned out that my slow leak was likely due to corrosion since they couldn't find any other small holes or anything. So they cleaned it up and got it back to me free of charge.
