I have received good service HOWEVER appointment times are like " take a number " as they mean nothing...I have waited an hour before my car is taken to a bay after threatening to leave. I made my last appointment early to get in and out and after 45 minutes when My car wasn't moved I left. I was told they weren't like a doctors appointment They seem not to schedule based on work being performed and stack people up like first come first served..yet we are just waiting on line like the old Baskin Robbins .." now serving number x".service providers do NOT check work being performed in the bay to minimize your wait. read more

Niece traveling by herself, needed one tire and they refused to put one on. Told her she needed two which she did not. They wanted $600 to boot. She found another shop who did put her tire on and it was $80 cheaper than their quote for one. She has a brand new car and the pot hole she hit tore up her tire. Had a couple nails and other issues with my tires. I was not able to bring my car in only my wheels and they put new tires on them and then still offered me the included 50% discount on my alignment even though I had to bring the car back at a later date. There was a minor miscommunication that resulted in my driving back over the next day but the boys made it right and overall felt like I was dealing with a higher level of competency than another local shop where the "service" actually is not "free". read more

Do not get work done here under any circumstances. They forgot to rotate my tires during my oil change as I asked them to and became very angry when I reminded them . Then i had to wait another two hours for them to complete it . I was so shaken up by the experience that I went to another shop to have the work double checked and the tire nuts were torque'd way over specification , around 120 in stead of 75 . I sent my mom to get two front wheel bearings, 4 tires and an alignment. Normally I would do the repairs myself but I was already scheduled to replace an engine the same day she had to get repairs and drive to Atlanta. They oversold the job by making her buy wheel speed sensors that were not needed. They mangled the backing plate in 3 places and it was making an awful grinding noise. This lets me know they didn't even test drive the vehicle. She picked the car up at close and had to come straight to my house. When I went to remove the wheel I found that none of the wheels were even tight. I'm glad they are incompetent enough to ruin this backing plate so that I could tighten her wheels. I'm dumbfounded at the lack of integrity they showed my family. read more

Warning about Tire Discounters on Moss Grove (near ALDI) I normally don't post stuff like this, but I want to warn others before they have a similar experience. Took my car in for the tire promo they're advertising: Buy 4 tires, get an alignment and oil change FREE. Seemed like a good deal... until it wasn't. I came in with 3 bald tires and a spare tire on. They told me they "aligned the car with the old tires on" -- including the spare. Since when do you do an alignment before installing the new tires, especially with mismatched tread and a spare tire on?? Makes zero sense. The oil change was never done, even though it was part of the promo. They rushed me out because it was closing time. Pulled my car to the door, walked me out, and shut the door behind me. When I got in my car, the driver's window wouldn't go up. Took it to Ford, and it turns out the window track was bent, the regulator was broken, and the glass was cracked. This happened while in THEIR care. I called Tire Discounters and of course they're denying any responsibility -- saying it "would've happened on its own." Really? A fully working power window suddenly breaks the exact day it's in your shop? The GM and manager won't take responsibility, even though they have cameras in every bay. Something clearly happened to my window while it was in their hands, and they're brushing it off. Just a heads up to anyone thinking about taking your car there -- be careful. They don't honor their promos, don't follow proper procedures, and definitely don't stand behind their work. read more

Bill & Larry discovered part of my tire problem was a faulty repair from another mechanic. Instead of suggesting me buy brand new parts, they helped me contact the mechanic and get the part warrantied at no cost to me. Further, they helped me find 2 used wheels because I didn't have the $800 for a new set of wheels. The used wheels they helped me find cost $205. Then, they put new tires on my car after all the repairs were made. They could have took me for all I was worth and they really had my best interest in mind. read more

Made appointment for oil change and had asked about wipers day before. Told they carried plenty. Actually out of one size. At appointment told needed brake work and it would be one hour. Ok . over 2 1/2 hours still waiting. Told 20 more minutes and it's been over 30. Now guy says they've got one side finished and working on other side. What the ****? Not only incredibly slow, have to go elsewhere to get wiper blades. They keep thermostat on 68 degrees. Fine for a 20 minute wait, but not for lengthy wait. No soap in restroom. Should I go on? The work may be good but if I had known the length of time, I would have gotten someone to pick me up. Excuses on delays getting work done are unacceptable. read more

We took our car here for an oil change and an incompetent tech put in the wrong oil filter. Long story short the engine was killed and the car had to be totaled. We had to settle with Tire Discounter's insurance company for an amount far less than what it took to replace our car. On top of them totaling our car they didn't have the common decency to refund us for the oil change. (I know that sounds minor compared to a totaled car but it shows the lack of decency and accountability we're dealing with here.) So if you want incompetency and a lack of any common decency this is the place for you, but I would recommend anyplace else other than Tire Discounters. read more

My brother and I are traveling across the country from Oceanfront, Virginia to Las Vegas, Nevada. Our tires take 65psi and most air compressors at fuel stops can't reach that. We're passing through Knoxville and saw their reviews online. I called and spoke to Bill and told him the situation. Him and his crew said they would fill up all our tires, do a rotation, and check my alignment for free and did so within 30 minutes. Great customer service. I was in on 10.29.19 to get 4 tires put on my 2011 Jetta. Hands down it was probably one of the best experiences I have had in awhile with tire service. I had initially booked an. Appointment online at the company website via chat. I'd suggest just calling to make an appointment. Why? When I made my appointment online the chat representative said I might want to call the location to make sure the tires were available a day ahead. So glad I called because the location had no record at all in their system that I booked an appointment. So it seems that there might be some technology gaps there somewhere. About the dealership. It's a little over a year old and still looks brand new inside and out. Customer areas are clean and inviting. Even the service area is extremely clean and organized. Which is unusual for any type of automotive repair facility. The staff were extremely helpful to me. Good tires at a reasonable price. And great service. This location is busy and so I get that others have said that their phone rings a lot and there are a ton of walk in clients. But, from what I observed I seen 1-2 gentlemen being very attentive and taking care of customers in the order that they came in as quickly as they could. Finally when my service was done I got something you rarely get from a business today. A snails, a thank you for your business, and a hand shake. With a promise that if you are not happy to bring it back and we'll do our best to make things right! Dave was the person who helped me and he did a great job! Very attentive to detail! I had something stuck in my tire. I called Tire Discounters and they said come in a tech is available. I came straight over. Then I stood there while the 2 guys working the desk up-sold or gave advice to everyone at the counter. Then they had to answer the phone repeatedly. OMG. Just hire someone to answer the phone. You are obviously busy. The phone is the way to go since it gets first service and not the people standing in a line in the showroom. Now I'm checked-in. My car is still sitting in the parking lot. I went in to get a leaky tire fixed and my tires rotated and as they were busy, I was told it would take about one hour. Turned out taking about two hours. The staff was friendly and very apologetic for the long wait. They did find and fix the leak but I will look elsewhere next time to get a tire leak fixed. Can't comment on all the other services they offer and they do offer alot. I will also not base one bad experience on their overall service. They seem great. The store manager also called me the very next day as a courtesy to see if the work they had done was ok. That was nice thing to do. He apologized for the delay and mentioned that one of his crew and had called in sick that day. Shows respect and professionalism. read more

Had to wait forever. I have been in here 2 times in the past week. First time I was the only one in the shop, stood for 10 minutes while two employees were just starring at me like they have never seen a human before. After that. Left my truck with them to do an alignment.. after a few hours got a call back and said nope didn't do it not doing it. It will be a waste of time and I don't feel like doing it. Came back this week. Saturday 9-26-2020. To only see all the employees several times just standing around joking around. While I watched the cameras on the tv. Came in at 11 left almost @3pm. Tire Discounters was recommended to me by a family member and not only was the estimate for the repairs I was told needed to be done $350 less; most of the repairs weren't necessary. I have a lock bolt that caused a little issue, but they replaced it at no charge with no hesitation. Free rotations for the life of the tires.
