I purchased the extended tire warranty protection plan for new tires on my 2013 Hyundai Tucso. I purchased the tires at the Lake City, Florida store. We planned a 800 mile trip on November 30, 2024 and I took the car to the Lake City store on November 29, 2024 for rotation and balancing covered by the extended warranty. Bottom line, my wife picked up the car and returned home. I got into the car and the TPMS light was on, I checked the tire pressure and all 4 tires were under inflate. The manager was uncooperative, I am stuck now, Discount Tire did not rotate or balance the tires, I am scheduled to leave on the trip in the morning and my vehicle is in worse condition than whe I dropped it off. My family and I have been going here for years and never had any problems, but the service here is rapidly plummeting since my last few visits. Discount tire employees gave me the runaround for months about an alignment and I ended up wearing down the tires I purchased from them down to the steel rods. Which is very unsafe. My last and final visit was when they wanted me to buy two new tires at full price which wouldn't be needed if they had done the alignment in the first place. (I had purchased a total of 6 tires at this point) the employee was rude and arrogant when speaking to me. I decided at that point I was better off giving my money to a business that cared about their customers and at least treated them with respect and dignity. We had a blow-out on our trip from NC to FL. Stayed overnight in Lake City and contacted Discount Tire to get a quick turnaround on repairing our tire. This group of professionals were fantastic responding to us. They committed to do the tire repair in an hour and it was completed in 30 minutes...very important since we still had a long drive ahead of us. There was no charge for the repair. Brought my vehicle in on a tow truck on our trip from Florida to Georgia. With my car having a lot of modifications the process was a little tedious, but the team there helped us with no problem. Beware of the scammers at this facility. I went there to get my tires rotated and balance and was told I needed new tires because all my tires were worn. Now keep in mind my tires are Goodyear brand and less than a year old. I was then told they could not rotate and balance my tires because they needed to be replaced. I went down the street to one of their competitors and the job was completed. I WOULD NEVER COME BACK TO THIS PLACE AGAIN. LADIES BE CAREFUL BECAUSE THESE GUYS WILL RIP YOU OFF WITH WORK ON YOUR CAR THAT IS NOT NEEDED JUST TO MAKE A BUCK. Nicholas Ruggiero was a lifesaver fixing our tire that had a bolt causing a leak. Traveling with a baby and five year old is never easy and he went out of his way to help and get us in, out, and back in the road quickly. He even made sure to rotate our tires and help us understand why we needed to on our new truck. He recognized how frazzled I was about this whole situation and he and the entire staff fixed my car quickly and were so friendly. Caught a flat on I-75. Called around and NO HAD my size tire. Called this place and even tho my exact size tire wasn't in stock they helped me out tremendously. As angry as I was that I had a flat, that couldn't be fixed, they were very nice to me and the family. These guys are excellent and their customer service was stellar. read more

Their service guy seemed frantically unorganized. (upon my first observation) racing around with no direction in sight. I inquired about a replacement tire which they had in stock, their price was pretty high and they quoted me additional for services and parts that were already on my car! lug nuts and valve stems? my tire was separated not gone! I was traveling through Florida to visit family and had a separated tire on my right rear passenger side of my Camry. I called several places in the lake city area as we had to get a hotel for the night. I got several recommendations of other places and i am glad i asked around! By going to a competitor I saved my family about 150.00 and was treated very nicely and quickly. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE! they are pricey and disorganized! Will they keep you safe? THAT IS QUESTIONABLE! There are a lot of tire places in lake city to choose from...I WOULD AVOID this one FOR SURE! Good luck and happy travels. read more
